Angelica - We do have slim fast shakes, but not the the carb conscious ones that were previously discussed. Is there another version that are similar?

Deetsmoms told me about the new slim fast shakes. They are called high protein.They are VERY similiar to the slimdown except about 60 or so less calories. They dont taste as good(in my opionion) as the slimdown but they are 7 bucks less per pack.So I buy them. They have worked well for me.

Okay, well - I decided not only to change the numbers on my ticker back to 164, I changed my ticker as well - so maybe just maybe since I moved it up today - my body will do me justice and let me move it back down tomorrow!!!! The crazy thing is my rings and pants are falling off but that darn scale isn't adjusting. I keep getting on there every morning thinking it is going to really say something good - but then I just look down and frown.....so now, I changed my ticker - and hopefully it will move in the right direction!

Heather I know it can be frustrating not seeing the scale move, but look at how faithful you are with your exercise. As you said your rings, pants etc are falling off of you, so that says you are definitely losing more inches. Like I told my center that it sucks that I feel I shouldn't exercise because of needing to keep up with the WL on their program. I know the exercise is so important, but then to them it looks like your not losing weight. When I reach my first goal with them at 180 I'm not sure what I should do. I want to continue on with them buy more weeks to get to a lower goal and start up the exercising again, but if I don't make the next goal due to the exercise then to me in their eyes I'm not working hard enough. Guess in reading what you guys are all doing its making me more confused. I'm proud of how far you've come and all your determination that you give.

Okay Chickies, prayer time. This morning my grandma, who lives across the street pushed her panic button that rings through to my house. I ran over there and she was sitting in her chair all hunched over, panting, lips blue. I grabbed the breathing machine and got it started, got her an ensure, and waited for the breathing to get better. She pinked up a little, but she said that she couldn't go on like this, and wanted to go to the hospital. I called 911, packed her a bag, and put a heavy robe on her over her nightgown. When the EMTs got there, they did a quick exam and loaded her up. It was nice because I knew both of them. Anyway, my sister Kara works at the hospital, so I called and asked her to meet grandma in the ER when she got there. So, I just got word that she has pnemonia. That makes sense with all of the breathing problems. I am able to get done with daycare at 3:30, so I will be heading up then. I have a strong feeling that she is very close to moving on, and that is good. She has been ready for a while, and her body is just worn out. So my request is that you all say a little prayer for me and yoga gurl, that we can be strong and help her go easily, and that she can be freed from her suffering. Sorry for such a downer post chickies, but I am glad that I have friends like you guys to talk to.

Heather - hold your chin high girl. You should be so proud of yourself. If you think about your health, losing inches is MUCH more important than losing pounds. I think this is something we all forget - lost inches = lost fat. Lost weight = lost fat + (possibly) lost muscle. You're body will get to a point where it stops dropping weight again - I guarantee it! Hang in there!

Katie - my dear friend - I'm so sorry that you had to go through that scary ordeal - but I will definitely keep you, your grandma and yoga girl in my thoughts and prayers. I know it is hard to see someone you love suffer even though you really want them there as well. I definitely hope everything happens peacefully whatever that happens to be - I will be thinking about you girl!!!!

Barbara, Milca and Suzanne - Thanks so much for your kind words. It is funny - I was just in the kitchen getting an Asian Pear and i was thinking - how is it that when a chickie or friend is having a hard time - you can look back and give great advice, but when it is yourself - you have no clue what to do - I think sometimes it is just hard to go by your own advice even though you know what it would be for someone else. You chickies give me such a renewed spirit. I'm definitely a go-getter and I know I can do this - I feel like my mind set is back today - I've done more planning with my food and getting all my portions in - so far so good. Walked 2.4 miles today around the block at work and I'm going to the gym tonight to make up for last night (at the dentist) - then I head to gymnastics w/ Savannah. I'm thinking about staying off the scale for awhile - but then again, I can't wait to see it move again. I know it will - so I guess I will make this promise - after I do get back to at least 161.5 I will put the scale away for at least one week - ........ So ther - I feel so much better - Thanks for listening or reading or even glancing and I hope everyone has a POP day!!!

About the scale, is a crazy idea, but if you have a friend or a neighbor or a family member that you can ask for a favor to leave the scale for a while, maybe having it away from you would help... You know while you break the habit...BTW, you are such a warrior girl, I admire you so much!
