Unhappy Poop rolls down hill

Angie, you are kicking butt, chickie! Great Job!

Today I was lucky to get in all my water, especially with as much other stuff on my desk.

Where are the chickies??? How is everyone today? Hope everyone's having a good, OP day...

I'm getting antsy....so much to get done in the next 2 days...our systems were down for a while, so nothing was moving...and now, of course, it's a rush to get everything in to close. Arrrgh...and I have to break in a new processor next month, so things are already stacked against me....I need to close 25 loans next month to get back on target for the year, and keep my job come July. Not that there's any pressure there....sheesh!

Okay, time to try to get some new files off my desk, and wait for the other shoe to drop about what we can close. Looking forward to blowing off a lot of stress tonight with my WATP...and maybe, just maybe, if I'm feeling punchy, I'll see if I can push it past the 3.

I'll try to peek in again before the end of the day. Happy Hump Day!

I am RAD.

Let me just start by saying I am extremely proud of myself for three things:
1 - exceeding water goal yesterday
2 - eating an AWESOMELY healthy dinner last night after the day I had
3 - Doing an EXTRA workout today!

Dinner last night wasn't planned. We opened the freezer and saw that deep-fried stuff... and then we had steamed rice w/ chinese-style veggies in water-based sauce. YUM.

Then we went on a nice long walk. And then, as we were taking our walk, he decided to tell me that he was really proud of me for losing the weight, and that he knew I only had a little left to lose. And that he knew I'd do it, and that the walks at night would help keep me motivated. MAN did I catch a good one! He won't even offer me soda anymore, either -- he asks if I want a bottle of water instead! I am proud of him, too, for being so supportive. He is a size medium in everything, and that's ONLY because he's 6'4" and smalls are too short. He used to be in track, etc etc, and it can be really hard to lose weight when he is so PERFECT looking!

So today is going awesomely as well.
I did my workout this morning, but with an extra kick!

I did 25 min on the bike (13 miles, approx., and only stopped cause my knee got sore! haha! how's THAT for motivation?!),
Then I did 200 situps (And didn't get sore AT ALL. Yay for me!)
Then I did 3 minutes on my stair-stepper, because I knew it'd help tone my legs (which I am beginning to see! aaah!!) and because it'll help heal my knee faster if I work it out.

And so breakfast today didn't happen because I got up at noon... so Lunch is right now, and it's a bag of extra-low-butter popcorn, totalling 200 cal per bag, and a granola bar with another bottle of water.

I'm on bottle 2 for today.

Dinner tonight shall be a yummy beef stew with potatoes and carrots.
And I'm going to make a large pithcer of lemonade, just in case I get sick of water.

You guys are doing so well! I am so proud of all of you. =)

Default Birthday parties & such

Today was a day of sweets where I work! I started the morning, however off with a good start. Did my new WATP DVD (did 20 minutes plus a cool down---Jennifer, I will comment more on that later!). Drank a bunch of water this morning before leaving for work. Ate some oatmeal w/ cranberries & pecans & skim milk. Didn't bring a snack like I said I would (had carrots, but that wasn't what I wanted!) That was my first mistake...
I dropped off a battery for a clock and put it in a co worker's drawer and found my snack...bite size candy bars just calling my name! A snickers and a mounds. Gulp! I ate them just like that and it satisfied my hunger, but that was just not a good decision. I need to bring some protein (nuts or something) from home to eat as a snack in the morning before lunch! What other things (besides cheese) can I eat that is a quick protein snack?

Ate lunch:
Cottage cheese, fruit, carrots & salad. A HUGE block of Rice Krispies treats sat in front of me while I ate lunch and I didn't touch them (ok, I looked at the package and fondled it, but I didn't eat any!!! LOL!) That's a bonus point, isn't it?

Then...the birthday party for the residents this afternoon. One of the family members brought in the birthday cake...one of those bakery ones with all the thick frosting. YUMMY! I didn't have a piece of it, but I might as well had! A lick here, a scoop there...you get the idea. It was sugary sweet!

Now...I am home and starving again. Gotta do something about this hunger! Supper is in the oven and I will be so happy to eat tonight! It's lean hamburger loaf (sort of a meatloaf, but no bread) sliced potatoes and I will make a veggie to go with it! I need to go, but will be back later for comments to all! I promise!

Hello everyone

I've been so busy since Sat I didn't have time to sit at the computer at all. I was happy to hear everyone is doing fine and keeping up(mostly) with their diets, water intake and excerise. I am up to 48ozs of water and my dh got me a treadmill this weekend. I put 5miles on it , while also taking my nightly walk outside(1 1/2 miles). As to the diet part I can't seem to change my diet from last week. It is as follows

day1
b tea- water- oatmeal
l apple- ham wrap on a whole wheat pita- decaf coffee- yogurt mousse
d lean pork slice- salad- 1/2 cup skimmed choc milk
s 1/2 cup baked crisps

day 2
b tea- water- oatmeal
l banana- tuna - 26 low fat crackers- yogurt -decaf coffee
d chicken soup- grapes-2 slices ww raisin bread- wine
s 1/2 baked corn chips

day 3

b decaf tea- egg-2slices ww bread-grapes
l 2 slices lean pork-1/2 cup mashed potatoes-1/2 cup corn - wine
d soup- water-lemon tart- decaf coffee
s grapes

day4

b tea- go lean cereal-peaches
l choc milk 1/2cup-yogurt mousse
d polenta-meat stew-jello- wine
s 30 jube jubes

I hope you see a improvement in this weeks diet ladies. I don't know if this is still too high in carbs. I will find out tomorrow at weigh-in. Til then good-night and keep up all your good work.

I can only do about 8 or 9 miles in that amount of time, but I don't ride for distance either...I ride for the sheer fun of it (HA, just kidding!) No seriously...I don't pay too much attention to the distance, but more my heartrate.

You are doing awesome girl. You get so much exercise! I wish I could do that daily!

I did on the otherhand, exercise tonight too because I didn't feel myw orkout this morning was too invigorating. I was kind of getting used to Leslie (WATP)
So I did the bike and my weights!

OK, now, lameducky...you know how I was giving you such a hard time about your back and then your knee??? Well...I have been having some problems with my knee. It only hurts (and I mean stabbing pain!) when I kneel directly on it or put pressure really hard on it, like if I bump it on something. I think I am going to have to go get it checked out because it's getting worse! Tonight I thought I was going through the roof with pain as I reached over something and bumped it! WOW! Good thing it doesn't affect my workouts!

Default Hello from a new chick!

I'm glad I found this website. So many nice people on it. I have 2 goals to meet by the end of the challenge... to switch over to a 90% raw diet and to ride my bike to work any day that temperature is above freezing! I'm 5'3" and 187Lbs. I'm aiming for 125. I know I'll get there if I keep plucking away without thinking too much about how long it might take.
Good luck to all and happy spring!

Evening!

Ok, I did my 2 mile WATP tape...28 minutes, then cooldown. Awesome. I'm still pink from it, which is why I need to do this as an after work or weekend tape. I feel good, now that I finished it. Of course, when I'm doing those damn kick-backs, and the traveling ones, I'm cursing....which means they must be working!

Dinner:
1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/4 cup fat free gravy
2 cups green beans
1 slice light oatmeal bread

I'm under my carbs a little, but I coudn't possibly eat anything else tonight. I do need to make something for lunch tomorrow- when I was writing my journal entry, I think I've decided on tuna, and my favorite no sugar added pickles....mmmm!

Hopefully tomorrow isn't a repeat performance of today...I'll get up, do my 1 mile, start to exaggerate the movement so it's more of a workout, and then plan on doing 2 segments of the Firm Off tape tomorrow night as my bribe to be able to watch Friends.

Lucy- what a great hubby! You're a very lucky woman! Cherish that man! And you amaze me with all the exercise...can I be like you when I grow up? Where do you get the energy? Or the time???? LOL

NClipper- it looks like you're adding some more protein to the breakfasts, so let's see what this week's weigh ins come up with...and then tweak some more if you have to...but it's looking good, and the walking has to be strengthening your leg muscles, as well as burning those calories! Good Luck on your weigh in!

Julie- 2 workouts today, too? You ladies are going to run circles around me soon. Well, you're probably in a bit better shape than I am, so I can't get too jealous just yet.

Have a great night- off to make lunch & get things ready for tomorrow!

Loooong one this time guys! First, welcome to 3FC, Plonk!! Good luck!!

Jennifer - Aww thanks! I have the time because I work at home... so I just roll outta bed and onto the bike. *G* I'm spoiled... I wish I could be like me if I EVER grow up!! Unfortunately, the energy is from the diet pills, still... but it's coming back without them. I'm just using them to boost my energy while I work out. I take one, right before I work out, and it's mostly gone in an hour. (I hate those things!)

Northern - Way to go! Keep goin' and you'll be there in no time. =) Odd schedules can be really hard to diet with... you're doing great!

Hikein: Hon, knees are a pain in the butt! You're doing a great job, all the same. =) Ice is the best medicine, and I hope everything turns out okay! Also, the exercise I do is all within less than 35 minutes if I don't screw around and end up dancing around to music on the radio. *G* I am such a huge dork!! Good thing I work out with the blinds shut, ahah! I make myself work out asap after waking because it keeps me energized ALL DAY. And if I have to be somewhere early, I just do a quick 10-min bike ride ( i love to ride for fun, too. it was hard to stop today! ), then hop in the shower and I'm all ready to go for the day. =)

Okay so here's the really awesome news, you guys.

I AM GOING TO DO MODELING!!! Not "oh, I am SO fat! Let's eat cotton balls!" kind of modeling... I mean the alternative, gothic type, where women with a little cushioning are seen as PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL!!! My friend has been trying to get me into this for months, and I'm finally going to do it. I still refuse to do nudes, though, because I'm just not down with that funky chicken... but I am so definitely excited about this new life path I'm taking on.

The world needs more beautiful, curvy, awesome women like US to model. Even though I will only be seen in small clubs around here and in personal photos, I still am massively proud of myself for taking a step like this.

You guys are all awesome. I could not have taken the step w/o ya. *hugs all around*

Margaritas for EVERYONE!

So you need to post a picture of yourself or at least a link so we can see your gorgeus new skinny body!! Way to go. You have to have lots of self esteem to do something like that and you've got it, girl! Way to go! I am proud of you!

Hi Gals,
Sorry I didn't get a chance to make an entry yesterday. I was just swamped here at work. Well after the initial loss it is a lot easier to stay on the plan. My water is going down so easy these days I drink about 2 of the large Evian (1.58 qt) bottles at my desk everyday now, I do admit I feel so much better. Last night I did not make it to the pool, we had the Ash Wednesday service at church so I walked a quick 2 miles on the treadmill and called it a night.
You girls with the knee problems be careful. I have been nursing a bad knee for over a year now. My problem occurred while I was walking on the treadmill. I must have tore something but its not getting better, I am too chicken to go see a specialist. I guess I don't want to know what is wrong with it. I just got over another injury a two years ago. I don't relish the idea of being on crutches again at this weight. Yet another good reason to loose! That is why I opt for the water aerobic. Its easier on the joints but it is an excellent workout, my doctor recommended it.
Lameducklucky - I feel your pain with the IRS! Last year we just surrendered and changed all our deductions to Single 0. So tired of being robbed at the end of the year. Now we just get robbed all year long and have to live with it. I can say it was nice to hear that we are getting a return this year, it will be the first time in 10 years!
Tonight is my Momma's birthday and yes I will have a small piece of cake without the icing. The dinner will be a disaster I am sure. My favorite what else ITALIAN FOOD! Carb city, I will watch the intake all day and then blow it this evening. As long as I get back on track that is all that matters.
Have a great day Chickies and stay motivated.

Wink So Happy It's Thursday :dizzy:

Well, we're nearing the end of week two...can you believe it???? The time is flying, and we're all doing so well. I am proud of each and every one of you- you just don't know how much I smile when I read about your exercise, and your OP days...you guys make me want to keep doing this, and be here for you all- it's because of you that I am as successful as I have been this year.

((( Great big hugs to all you chickies! )))

This morning, I got up and did my 1 mile, with the ab belt, and did all the arm swinging & exaggerated movements, and I feel like I got a better workout. So that's 3 miles in 12 hours...lol! Oh- and I think I'm starting to like the after-exercise glow/sweat....something in my head is finally changing, I think! And Sunday, I get to take measurements for the 3rd time....I'll be posting the results in my journal, as well as here. I'm really, really hoping to see full inches off...cross your fingers for me!

Breakfast:
1 pineapple cottage double
1oz fat free garden veggie cheese
1/3 cup smart start
12oz diet coke

halfway through my first 24oz of water...and it's going to be another one of those kinds of days, I tell ya. So far, it's been a 3 ring circus, and it's not even 10 yet! LOL

Tonight...I'm thinking Upper Body & Lower body shortcuts tapes, or the Firm Off tapes for the same parts, and then the 1 mile again...and Friends. Dinner- maybe more chicken, since hubby hasn't made sauce yet- his schedule has been as hectic as mine lately.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday! Keep up the great work, everyone!

Default Birthday slip

lameducky - That's great about the modeling gig. I'm sure you'll be smoking .

Hikein - I had the same problem with a birthday yesterday, more about that later, but let's just say my off day just got moved - LOL

Plonk - welcome to the sight, it's a great resource.

NClipper - Sounds like your doing a great job staying OP, I'm sure you'll see the results at weigh in .

Mama Mia - Have a piece of cake and don't beat yourself up. What's life if you can't celebrate with the ones you love. Just don't dive overboard like I did yesterday - LOL

Jennifer - You're awesome. Your dedication is an inspiration to us all .

Now, the Birthday fiasco. Well I did pretty good yesterday, that is until I went to the Olive Garden. Bad girl, you're too weak to step inside those doors - LOL. I did my step class at noon, did kung fu in the evening drank all my water and my food WAS on target. Well it was my friend's b-day, so I took her out for a late dinner. I ordered the chicken giradino, because I knew it was one of the healthier things on the menu. I was even good and only ate half of it. But I had a lot of bread, wine and *gasp* chocolate lasagna. Yes, it is as sinfully good as it sounds - LOL. I'm definitely not beating myself up for this though. Even with the big dinner my calories were at 1800. I'll just make that my off day for the week and remember how those calories add up the next time I go out to eat. Skip the bread, drink water instead and adjust my calories the rest of the day so that my calories aren't devestated. Definitely a learning experience. Well good luck to everybody today. ( I love that banana)
