ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I have not been formally diagnosed with PCOS. My gynecologist says I probably have it, but the treatment is weight loss and birth control pills. I cannot tell you how depressing it is to go to the Dr. and have them blame everything (migraines, TMJ, anxiety, etc...) on my weight. If I'm not depressed when I go into the Drs - I am when I come out.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW about: Well we are TTC and I hope it can work this time. ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? Diagnosed with PCOS about 6 months ago. Nothing they've tried have worked, but the doctor said losing even just 20 pounds might do the trick, so here I am. I want to be a momma!
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: To be honest, all of it.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I have finally realised that women with PCOS really can lose weight.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I was 21 when I was diagnosed with PCOS and it felt like the end of my life. I thought I had tricked my husband into marrying me (we didn't find out til after we were married). I was blessed with the conception of my son, who was born premature as I developed preeclampsia (I was later told this had something to do with PCOS, I also have OCD which again has been connected with the ovaries) we have not been blessed naturally so my husband and I are now looking into adoption.
I was told by so many doctors, specialists that women with PCOS would never be able to get to a healthy weight so I never bothered trying, now it's different I am trying hard and know I will do it.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Losing the weight. I have tried so many different things only to see a few pounds go and then everything come back. I get so discouraged that I just give in. I guess "Sticking-with-it-ness" is a problem.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I am honestly afraid that if I don't do it this time, I will die before my kids grow up. My health has gone so downhill in the last few years and I am already having a hard time walking - I refuse to let this thing get me!
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW about: I've actually had the diagnosis of PCOS for 6 years and I'm just now starting to actually deal with it. When I was diagnosed, DH and I were ttc and the only thing on my mind was, "OK, I have this thing, now how do I overcome it and get pregnant?". With Chlomid and Met I was able to conceive my first son after 2 years of trying. After Liam was born and I was feeling up to it, we started my Met again, and lo-and-behold, 3 weeks later I got pregnant again. I am a HUGE believer in Met for PCOS and ttc!
Other than that, I am pretty much an open book - I love talking to people and if you like to chat, I'd love a WL buddy! If you want to know more, just ask - you'll get the answer!

More about me: Well, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15. I was given birth control pills at that time to regulate my period and it worked. But as I got older and my life got more complicated I didn't always have the insurance nor the money to stay on birth control. I haven't had my period in 4 yrs now. I am way over weight and there are other things about PCOS that drive me nuts. Most of which I have always wanted to be a mother and I just don't see that happening now. I'm getting up there in age and I don't want to start a family after I'm 40.
