My Check In:
Doing ok this week -- tried some new recipes and I think I've nailed -1 lb for the week. I change ticker on Sundays
so I'm waiting to make it "official" but I've already been seeing it onthe scale.
Thanks for the welcome I had a sneaky step on the scales this morning to help keep me on track before going to my best friend's son's birthday party as I knew I'd be picking at lots of party food if I wasn't careful. My official weigh in day isn't until Monday but it looks like I've lost 2.5lbs so far this week And needless to say, I didn't pick at the food as I didn't want to undo what I've done this week
Well done Astrophe on your loss this week.
Justsharing83, I always get terrible period pains if I have gone a long time without a period. It's like my body is having a gool old clear out. Hopefully next time things won't be so bad.
I'm back from all my travels, this time for real. I guess I've always been back for real, but I would leave again.
For now, I don't have any plane tickets purchased and no car trips planned. ..... which means I can actually focus on eating well and going back down.
I'm up 170.4 lbs as of this morning and I blame the Chinese food I ate. It was a last treat before the nose to the grindstone, since I never eat Chinese, mostly because I blow up like a blimp when I do.
So, this was my once a year treat.
I'll be changing my profile shortly to reflect it... so sad....
Anyway, that just means I have to be careful and more vigilant with my food selections from now on and I just have to get back on track.
It's so hard for me to eat healthy when I travel because I'm thrown in such weird situations (meetings all day and stuff) and I don't get enough sleep, which usually means I eat to compensate the lack of sleep, which triggers stress hormones, which makes my body hold on to water and then later weight as much as possible.
Or, like the horrible breakfast served at one of the hotels I stayed at, there was no protein for miles available... making my food choices carb heavy!!!!
2nd month in a row I got TOM which means no loss so far this week. Typically a woman loses the water weight in the first 1-2 days of TOM so ......since today was the first day I am hoping it will be gone by morning weigh in. *fingers crossed*
So I'm sorta feeling better. Losing weight even though I haven't been on plan with everything and sometimes some crackers or pretzels are the only things that will calm my belly down oh well. It's not the end of the world.
Just a quick check-in -- I'm all stressy and anxious. I'm trying not to eat crazy food just because of that but seriously... very stressy. If I can make it to Tuesday, I'll feel a lot better.
I went to a chinese buffett for lunch on saturday and I thought I was being good by staying away from the carby stuff. I filled up my plate with clams, peel-n-eat shrimp, mussells, softshell crabs, etc. I was still up 4lbs on sunday I was down to 160 this morning, and I ate a banana for breakfast.. been peeing like crazy ever since. I am hoping that it is just water weight and I will be back down to 158 or less before my WW weigh-in on Wednesday.
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago. My doctor never mentioned anything about this affecting my weight. I wonder why? I must look into it...this could be CRUCIAL!
Shalyn- It is crucial. Doctor dont know what we do and dont know about pcos, They dont really understand it themselves to be honest so it is REALLY hard getting all the facts unless you see a reproductive endocrinologist. Good luck on your journey and definitely try to keep insulin levels even it will help SOOOO much in losing weight.
Starting jm 30ds and biking this week hopefully the scale drops
I've been eating to healthy it's hilarious. Just waiting for the weight to go down...
Nina125, I haven't discovered a way to eat Chinese and not gain weight. It doesn't matter if I avoid the carbs. Lesson learned. Again. And it is totally discouraging... even if the weight drops off eventually again.
