. My daily points was 36, it was designed by the book on the first week. However, on my etools my daily points are 31. Which one should I follow? I don't want to under eat or over eat! Any help would be great.

Why exist on lower points when you can lose eating more? I say go with the 36 until your loss starts to slow, then drop a point. This would naturally happen every ten pounds (if you retake the quiz assuming a lower weight you'll see why).
