Hi all,

I had a great Christmas, and hope you did, too. Today I'll be clearing the house of all toxic/trigger foods, and also taking down the decorations.

What're your plans for the day?

Today I plan to hit the post-Christmas sales! I need a book shelf and some lighting..I want some exercise stuff too. I had a great Christmas, I pointed out EVERYTHING!! I am so proud! have NEVER done that over a holiday- and I only ate dessert each night as far as dessert went!

Jane-Last night I went through all the stuff we got and threw the food away. I am lucky my DH does not like most of it and my DS is to young to realize what I did. The only thing I kept were the Christmas gobstoppers. I love them. I am not quite sure why. I did not track the last few days but am back on the wagon. I did not want to worry about it.

Have a great day!

Hi Ladies, I hope you have room for another flexer. I have been so bad the last couple of months and have gained 15lbs back, so now that Christmas is over and I feel like a moo cow, its time for me to get back on track and hit my goal weight in 2008! I dont go to meetings and have always followed the winning points program at home and at one point I was down 53lbs, I know it works and I love flex. When core first came out I tried it, but I always ended up stuffing my face with anything that was sweet. So now I just stick to the flex program.

Welcome Anna! I think most of have been there and have gained weight back. You made the best step by recommitting yourself.

I was supposed to go to my meeting tonight but it has been snowing all day long. I definately will not be making it out. I don't think I have lost anyway between Christmas and my TOM. But I feel good today.

TGIF!

Caitbeans - did you get any good stuff at the sales? A big WooHoo for you, staying OP over Christmas.

Jasmine - what the heck is a gobstopper? Do tell!

Patty - next year will be easier now that the first one is out of the way. Thank goodness for your DD to help keep you focused. WooHoo for the loss! That's great!

Anna - yay for you, starting again before it really gets out of control. I am another one that is trying to relose what I lost before! Anyway, this is a great bunch, and we're glad to have you here. Welcome to the family.

Carrie- yay for being back on the wagon.

A big hello to anyone else reading this. Please just jump in and join us!

I feel SO much better now that I'm eating healthily again. Makes a difference, doesn't it? I feel better mentally, too, knowing that I'm back in control.

Today I need to go to town (I live in the boonies) and do some grocery shopping. Also want to pick up our Christmas photos.

Have a good day!

Jane- a gobbstopper is a hard candy made by will wonka. In the Willy Wonka movie they have an everlasting one. In reality they are just hard compacted candy. I am not sure why I like them.

I am feeling motivated and ready to face the day. Have a great day!!!

ok, I'm jumping in! I'm motivated, went out and bought the WW magazine tonight, I'm going to subscribe. I really want to get back to not having to pay at WW. That's my goal for '08 DH and I kicked up our walking program again and are eating better, thank God the cookies are gone that definitely helps!

Thanks so much Jane - it has only been a short while so it is all still so raw. I am using my focus on WW to get through and also my DD. I did go out today and bought the new magazine too and thought it was great. I also bought a new WW cookbook and another great one with success stories and tips etc. I have my little exercise room set up as well. I am looking into food and supplement ideas to deal with depression. I have read some things and seen a few shows so using that as well. I still can't get through a day without crying....

Everyone sounds good and so glad we have this thread to post

Hello all,

Jasmine - oic about the gobbstopper. You know, I've never seen the Willy Wonka movie all the way through.

Keli - yay for the cookies being gone, lol. I think we each have a new, postive outlook for 2008, and we'll try and keep each other motivated when the going gets tough.

Patty - it will get better, I promise. Just keep in mind that she wouldn't want to see you crying, ok? Wow, with the books, exercise room, and your "can do" attitude, I think you will be a 2008 success story, for sure. Thanks for sharing the title of the book. I don't have a bookstore where I live, but if Walmart has it, I'll pick up a copy.

Hello to anyone else reading this.

I've been sort of sick with a sore thoat and a cough, and think it's turning into a cold. No wonder, with all the crazy weather we've had. We need a good freeze to kill the cooties, lol.

My eating has been great, and I've never had a problem with water. I'm not doing very well with exercise, though. Maybe when I feel better.

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

Guess what my aunt gave DH and I today? If you guessed a box of chocolate you are right. Can you guess where they are going? If you guessed to the starving children in Africa you would be right. I wish I could send them there, however they will be visiting the trash can.
