Walking (2-3 miles per walk, 4-5 days a week) and just watching what I ate at first. I didn't count calories, I didn't count carbs, I just focused on eating less of what I normally ate. Then in August I switched to counting carbs - no more than 25g per day. I bought a stationary bike in November then stopped watching carbs and switched to calorie counting in March. I think mixing it up and never letting it get boring is key - I got sick of walking so I started biking. I sometimes get bored of biking so now that it's warmer, I go for a swim. Counting carbs started to get restrictive so I switched to calories. I feel like it keeps me and my body guessing!
