Just checking in, I am trying to stick my diet but going out for lunch and dinner is making it very stressful for me. There is only so much salad with chicken you can eat. The last 3 days I had one drink in the evening and now it feels even more difficult to stick to my diet.

I am working out, snorkeling or swimming during the day - I decided not to weigh myself during the vacation, the big surprise will come in 2 weeks or not.

@ NEMom, you are int 180's - whoohoo
@ Amanda, I am glad to see you posting again. One day at the time, it might feel like a big task but breaking it down into each day everything seems to be reachable.
@ jamie - I am on the green menu, mine has some more carbs - I need to eat some bread and fruit each day. I have not tried out any other menus. My 20 weeks are up next month and I will move to maintenance.

The different colored menus is for the different plans you are on. I was not even given the MEAT LOVERS PLAN as a option, did not even know it was one until now. I started on the Basic Menu and today at my consultation I was switched to the Basic More menu which has snacks and is more the way I eat in general. Have you been to the food class?? They do help to explain the menu there.
I had my second weigh in today and gained .5lbs. I am honestly not surprised, I am about to start my period and have not had the best last couple of days. I am going to refocus this weekend and do my very best to stay on plan.

Hello ChocolateCheesecake! Sounds like you are having an amazing vacation. Can you have a steak, some veggies and a plain baked potato with just a little butter. Sounds like you are doing a great job. Enjoy your vacation!

Good luck!

I did not know there is a menu with snacks ..... I asked once and was told nothing is available with snacks, I mean a snack that I can chew and not just drink another HNS.

I am not a fan of beef, therefore it is chicken, tofu, and fish. I started asking in the restaurant to make just veggies and fish kebab. I stay away from starches at dinner, it just makes it easier. I might have a glass of wine or a light beer - I am starting to like Corona light.

To everyone a great weekend.

June 12, 2016 marked the one month of being on the MRC program. I have lost 8 lbs which is not outstanding but still good. My motivation and excitement is weaning and it is shear grit that is getting me through. I did not have a great food day on Friday and Saturday. I did not overeat but did eat a few things off plan. I gave myself a stern talking to on Sunday and finished the day with a good food day. I did some meal prepping over the weekend and it is such an important thing for me to remember to do, then I am prepared and know what I have available to eat for lunches and dinner. I get lazy I guess and did not do this very important step the last couple of weeks.

I weighed on my own scale this morning and did not show a loss from where it was last week. I know my period such be starting any day so that could be it. Ugh, this fat does not want to go anywhere.

I am going to continue to take it one day at a time because if I think to far into the future I get frustrated.

Chocolate Cheesecake - the menu which has snacks is called the METABOLIC MORE menu. I got so use to the basic menu that I am having a hard adapting to this one but I keep trying. I have some good food days and some bad.
Good for you for trying so hard to stick to the plan on vacation. I do not like fish and have not really tried tofu. I do eat a lot of chicken and have started eating more ground turkey instead of hamburger.

Hi My name is ceejay. I have been on and off the MRC plan for over 10 years. I still have the green sheet plan and will be doing this at home. It's what works for me if I work the plan. Wish MRC had an office that was close enough for me to go to but they don't any more.

NEmom
That's great that you lost 8 pounds.

Amandarowe.
My mom's maiden name is Rowe. I will have to do baby steps also

Ceejay52 - you said such a powerful thing "It's what works for me IF I WORK THE PLAN". I am really good a playing food games, like if I only have a little of this it will not be a big deal, etc.
I applaud you for doing it on your own. Are you ordering the protein drinks from the dietcentral website? The people at my center are nice enough and helpful but it bothers me they look and comment on my food journal each time and then want me to talk to them about the plan even when I do not have anything to say. I still have a long time on the plan I have paid for but am unsure if I will reup after the 20 wks. They do offer a good deal but again, the twice a week visits and all the visit time bugs me a little. I have decided this week I am only going to weigh in once. See how it goes.

I will be back on Monday, back to my house and being able to eat healthier.
I will step onto the scale at home, so I do not get the shock of a lifetime when I am at the center. I am not sure anymore how well I am doing, I had a couple drinks over the last 3 weeks and with it I start to snack. Oh well, it is what it is.

To all of you a great weekend.

I went to the center to weigh in on Friday and had lost 3.5lbs. This puts my total weight loss in the month I have been on the plan at 11.5lbs. I am very happy with that. Overall, my eating this weekend was pretty good. I did have one meal off plan on Friday. It was a chicken taco salad but I ate the bowl because I was starving. Not good. Hope it does not cause a gain this week.

Chocolate Cheesecake - Hope your weigh in was not as bad as you were expecting!!!

Great weigh in NEMom. Every little bit counts and I think we have to live a little.

I stepped on the scale this morning, not too bad 2.5lbs gain over 3 weeks of normal eating. Partially normal eating, I tried to stay within a 1,500 calories each day - for most days. I had drinks, 3 really big meals, bagels and bread - it was almost normal eating with addition of more salads and portion size. Now, I have to weigh in this Friday on my day off from work, I am swamped at work after 3 weeks.

Amanda - how are you doing?

Chocolate Cheesecake - 2.5lbs is not bad for a 3 week vacation. Most if it is probably water weight and will disappear before you know it.

My food week has been pretty good. I have tried hard to stay on track this week. Need to work on exercise but I just do not feel like it when I get home from work. I tried weighing myself this morning but my scale was wacky, hope it is just the battery and it is not broken. I hate having to use different scales.

Weighed in today and am down another 1lb. I was surprised because I lost so much last week but I will take it. The last two weeks I have only gone to the center once a week to weigh in instead of the recommended twice. The staff is nice but I hate them looking through my food journal and commenting what is not 'on plan' or I am not getting my protein. Their job, I know but still makes me feel uncomfortable, plus, I have to leave to to go so this makes it easier and saves gas.

Don't worry, the consultants should be happy that you write everything down. My consultant is very understanding that we have to live as well. My consultants are former clients and give me advise from their own experiences. I do write down everything I eat, that way I know what I do and it registers better in my brain.
You are doing awesome, 12lbs that is a lot.

I am weighing in tomorrow, I love to have lost at least 1/2 lb because then I would get my 3 weeks back. My 20 weeks are almost up, I am very close to my goal weight of 170 lbs.

Down to 170 lbs. Yeah, I reached my goal not gaining weight during my vacation.
I doubt that my center will honor the promise they gave me to give me the weeks back, even today they talked about it getting weeks back and then when I lost weight - they did not even want to speak about it anymore. Let's see I pick it up next week again when I weigh in. I think I need the weeks to lose my last 5 lbs.
I will only weigh in once a week as well because I will take a 3 day weekend til the end of the August.

To everyone a great weekend.

I made some bad decisions yesterday. It started off wrong in the morning, no breakfast, I was too hungry at lunchtime, not enough water, dinner was okay but then I had some wine and beer. I should have known better that I start eating salty snacks with drinks in the evening.
Today is a new day and I am back on track again.

Have a great week,
