WI yesterday and had only lost 0.5lb. I was totally bummed! But my counselor said it was time for measurements and we took them and she kept double checking!

I had lost 16.5 inches! Woot!

Of course you lose them in all the places you could careless about, but I am still thrilled!! Now my new hurdle is my Aunt Flo and adding more B6! Yeesh.

Brandi, going through the program I learned that my body liked to gain 4 pounds in water weight during TTOM. So, if I could maintain or just lose a little, I was happy. 16.5 inches means things are happening. The scale will catch up.

Ladies, it's official. I now fit in the smallest pair of jeans I own.

Jen -Great news about the jeans. I recently went through my closet and was able to fit into all but the smallest jeans that I have. I hope I will get back into them as they were jeans that I wore in college.

I have been going up and down at each WI. I don't understand what is up but the center doesn't seem too worried about it. I'm eating OP so I'm just hoping my body is taking a what the H#$L is going on moment and I will get back to losing. I REALLY want to sign the 60 pound board before March 1. I have been doing more interval workouts and also added a few strength moves to my routine. I'm wanting to start the tone up process now so I will look that much better when I reach goal.

Have a restful and wonderful weekend.

bigdog-it was excellent. Just diced tomatoes from the garden I had frozen (about 1 1/2 cups), 2 c. low sodium chicken broth, lots of garlic, 8 oz chicken, 1 1/2 c. raw spinach, more garlic Cooked the tomatoes and broth, added in the chicken and spinach, simmered until spinach wilted. Make 2 servings. 4 oz protein, veggies (didn't measure out the tomatoes per se). The original recipe also called for zucchini (thought I had some) and some dry wine and other spices. This is was simple, quick, and good. Will def. make again.

Went through all the hand-me-down clothes I got. So now I have my list of things I need tomorrow and it is much smaller than I thought I'd need. so focusing on getting some quality pieces rather than the quantity I thought I would need.

I lost three pounds at the last weigh in and only four pounds for the month. But it was time for measurements and I have lost over 12" this month! So things are happening.
I realized that there is a such thing as drinking way too much water in talking with the counselor. I cut water back to 88oz(minus water used for protein concentrate) and I started losing again after my weigh in earlier this week.
We shall see how it goes for the month of March by following this thought process.

Hello to all! I am new...ok, well I started two days after the Obligatory Chocolate Holiday, AKA Valentines Day, but otherwise I am new. I live in Northwest Arkansas. And I have never tried any kind of diet program before. But after some problems last year and finding out I had PCOS (which would explain why I was not losing weight no matter what I ate or how much I abused myself at the gym) I started looking around. One of the ladies I work with suggested MRC, and luckily the UofA's insurance started doing reimbursement for the program so here I am.

So hey, how ya doin? Name's Galadreal...no, really. And nice to meet everyone.

Hello ladies!

Just a quick check in so that you all know that I AM still alive and well

Just returned from my week trip to Mexico. I had a little too much fun, though, and I am paying for it this week.

I am so glad to have my weekly check ins and WI's with MRC. I believe this really helps to hold me accountable. It is my motivation sometimes to get back on track, rather than to make excuses for myself. That is how the weight creeps back on I am sure!

So, my first real week on maintenance, and I didn't maintain, but I am also not throwing in the towel either. I had fun, ate lots of great food, had my BOGO free drinks in the pool bar EVERY SINGLE DAY but that was vacation. I gave myself permission to splurge knowing that not everyday can be like that. In the past, I was in the habit of not paying attention to what I ate...but that is definitely different now.

I still have much work to do on my "mind-set." I shouldn't NEED the weekly check ins to keep myself on track. Rather, I should be staying focused because Tami wants to succeed...and I do...but I lose myself and that motivation when I am surrounded by others who are indulging, and it turns into this "I can too" mentality. I guess I am getting better, but the journey is still a tough one sometimes...as you all know

Welcome to all who are new to the program! Starting out is always tricky, but it does get easier..."one day at a time."

Tami..
I still need the weekly weighins and I have been on maintenance for a long time now. I find it helps me keep accountable.. Sometimes I go once a week, vs. 2, but it helps me.. Three of my friends on maintenance also get weighed in weekly, as they feel the same as I do.

Bigdog - Glad you're hanging with us! Your center does sound a smidge scary... I've been lucky to enjoy my center's counselors... granted, there a few I prefer due to them having similar experiences as mine - I just can't relate well to the few who are rail-thin and actually told me they'd never had to lose any weight and one actually said she was "blessed with good genes but I do need to tone up"... she was proabably a size 2. Seriously?

I just try to remind myself that I'm here for me, not them. They aren't with me when I'm eating or actually out living, I am. I'm accountable for my decisions ... not them. I just try to meet with my prefered couselors when I go in and, if I do have to have one of the skinny chicks, I just go with it. I see this as a life change... I won't always have couselors there to help me, skinny or not, so I may as well roll with it.

Jen - Congrats on the jeans! You go! I went clothes shopping not too long ago and was pleasantly surprised when I got into a size 11/12! Yay! I'm not buying anymore clothes until I "settle" and figure where I'm going to be in the next 10-15 pounds... we'll just see.

Default Stupid Girl Scout Cookies! ARGH!

So, I got sick last Sunday with strep and haven't felt well at all this week. Started vomiting on Thursday and felt horrible... But I didn't want to disappoint my daughter so we went to Zumba on Friday night. Saturday I tried to rest but I felt the housework beconing to me ... and then had concert tickets on Saturday night, so we went.

Anyway, I stayed on plan fairly well....... until Sunday. I was home by myself and had a fever. Nothing sounded good.... until I saw the Peanut Butter Patties. I.ate.four. They were tasty but I felt soooo guilty! So, afterwards, I hauled my booty on to the elliptical for an hour... fever and all! Isn't that crazy? I wonder why I always abuse myself like that!??? Ugh!

Hello all...had a great day shopping. Still need some things, but found some good stuff on clearance and then didn't feel bad about my full price items, like a new bra from VS. But now that I bought it I worry about if I do lost 5 more lbs if it will fit correctly??? And that's waaaaaayyyyy more money than I've ever spent on a bra. Thoughts from others on how much 5 lbs makes in the boob dept.

My counselor nominated me for client of the month...not sure what that is, but I had to send before and after pictures (since I'm doing MRC @ home). If you go to my blog you can see the before and after. Of course I picked the best picture out of all that I took...and now I'm afraid that since I picked the "skinniest" one, when people see me they won't think I look as good as I did in the picture. Silly. But true.

Rachel - At least it was only four cookies instead of four boxes (we are talking cookies, right? ) LOL I'm sure you worked those calories off and the interuption to your fat burn that those cookies caused was only temporary. Don't beat yourself up to hard. Just learn from it and move on. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Gina - Congrats on the nomination! That's wonderful and something to be proud of. Love the before and after pics. You look amazing!!!! I definitely understand what you mean about living up to the pics. I hate to admit this but I feel like everyone is watching me now after the whole before/after pic thing I did. Maybe that's a good thing. Another way to stay accountable.
