So sorry for your loss.

Yes I am at least as insane as you . . . A couple of days ago I was waiting to check out at Shopko in a very long line. They had all of the discounted Easter candy right there including the dreaded Cadbury eggs - on top of that they were on sale for $0.25. After arguing with myself for a few minutes I decided the temptation was too great and basically ran out of the store without the items I planned to buy. . . I will go back when the eggs are gone! At first I felt stupid, then proud and though it seems a bit silly and extreme I am glad I decided to run away since I knew that at that moment I was not strong enough to fight the craving.

LOL!!!!
The good thing is that you did not give in to temptation!

I buy online from bodyandhealthessentials and I've bought from dietdirect (both .com). They usually have either powders or concentrates on sale. Plus if you order a certain #/amount you get free shipping and/or you can get an extra discount. I order with someone else, so I am able to order enough to get the extra discount and free shipping. To me they taste as good as the ones sold at the center. If your drinking 5 a day, it can definitely save you some money!

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa's passing. Focus on supporting your family, sharing stories, and keeping your hands busy. Write down what you are feeling and talk with your family members, it will be good for all of you. Praying for safe travels.

This week... I added (
avocado
Chickpeas( in the bean category)
a fruit in morning (banana)
an oatbran muffin, no sugar, no fat, with small amt. of fruit( with muffin I did take a HNS and a food & carb blocker, although, I don't think I need to take food and carb blocker. Will experiment
Peanut butter is a no no for me.. I tried it and I gained. So, will try it at a later date.

I asked Center if they changed the liquid HNS as I had digestive problems with them, and they said not that they know of. I will start them again today , and hopefully all is well. I only have to take 2 a day.

Wishing y'all a great day and a great weigh in. Think Thin...

Congrats Patzi, you are doing such an amazing job of being patient while trying to figure out what is going to work for you long term. You are such a great example.

I'm going out of town this weekend to visit my man who just got back from Afghanistan last Saturday, so I'm going to make good food choices, but will indulge if I want.

I have a new mantra that's been helping me - You Eat. You Gym. I have been in the gym everyday for a week and it's helping. Also the B6 too.

You ladies have a great weekend!

Best,
Carmen

CONGRATS on many things...especially on your MAN coming back from the sand box!! My own comes home on Wednesday of next week :cheer2: from Afghanistan also and we're going on a cruise as of 5/14...I plan to be good and get 'extra exercise' to avoid all the cruise foods...hehe...
Tell him thank you from us for all that he does....

I am trying very hard to drink my 120 ounces of water a day, but adding that to my 3 HNS I feel bloated all the time and my clothes are starting to feel tight. There is now way I can drink the 5 that my consultant suggested when I weighed in yesterday.

Is this a normal feeling?????:(

I would stick to 3 HNS and 100 oz of water .. this seems to be my "max" before I think I'm going to throw up if I drink another thing! Make sure you space them out too .. I've noticed after I drink an HNS - I'm fairly thirsty especially the pink lemonade, so save the water for after!

Are you taking any of their supplements? I avoided them as long as I could, but when I stalled out at 208, I started the phentatrim, and it's REALLY helping. And it doesn't make me jittery or anything. I recommend it for busting through a plateau. I just did a 10-day (their sample bottle) cycle of it, I didn't continue to buy the supplement. :)

I have done MRC-6 since day 1 and then I just finished a month of corti-trim. I am thinking I just want to do this without pills, but I am not sure how much frustration I can withstand... I'm about to run out of MRC-6 in a few weeks too so I think I'll see how Saturday's weigh in goes before I contemplate any other supplements.

I totally wouldn't mind a few week plateau, but 5 weeks is just really getting to me.

Mariah,
I hope I did not seem insensitive for laughing. I was not laughing at you, and I am very proud that you were able to get away from temptation. I laughed at the things we girls have to do to get this weight off!

Thank you for the updates. I enjoy them each week!

They still haven't talked to me again about stabilization, so I will just hang in there as long as I can!

You did not seem insensitive at all, it is actually quite funny to think of a grown woman "running away" from a Cadbury egg. I don't think I could make it through this if I did not laugh at myself from time to time, life would be to serious and boring.

So far I have been very fortunate and have not hit a plateau and I don't know what I would do in your situation. I have actually had pretty good success without the extra pills so I don't know if I can be much help there, but it is possible to lose weight and inches without them. Are you exercising and does your consultant know how much you are exercising? I know this can make a difference in your weight loss and I think that mild-moderate exercise has really helped me, but overdoing it causes me to stall out. Stay OP, keep drinking your water and hang in there, you will figure this out and get that scale moving in the right direction again, just don't give up.

I don't know if this will help, but I try to "eat" some of my supplements rather than drink them. For example . . .
1. I use the jello at least once a day.
2. I love to mix 2-3 oz water with a powdered supplement (wildbury, pink lemonade, etc) and a few ice cubs and blend it for an sherbert consistancy and if you are having fruit at the meal throw in frozen berries for your fruit before blending it and it is awesome - and really tastes like sherbert.
3. Use the concentrates like a syrup over shaved ice likea snow cone.
4. "suck" the concentrate straight from the package.
5. Use the chicken boulion in recipies for your lunch or dinner supplmenet.
6. Eat the puddings or crisps.
7. The new MRC brownie recipie is awesome (I just posted it to the recipies thread).
8. There are several recipies in the cookbook where you cook with your supplement.

This might help a bit. If you can eat your supplement then all you have to focus on drinking is your water. Also, your body will adjust to the water and the bloating will go away (if it does not after a 2-3 weeks it might be worth checking with your doctor to see if there is something going on with your kidneys).

Hope this helps,
Mariah
