Oh well, its a new day!

I've struggled to stay on other programs in the past too, but I'm determined that this is going to be my time. Try to keep remembering what caused to to make the jump and committment to MRC. You can do it!!!

One thing that has helped me tremendously is to continue to repeat to myself, "This plan is HARD, but being fat, depressed, low energy, and having borderline high blood pressure is HARDER." Seriously, they're both hard. But the hard task of staying OP will have ultimate reward! Hang in there - day by day - bite by bite.

GoalAug2010 05-10-2010 12:43 PM

I think my plateau is finally going away! I lost 7 lbs in two weeks (a personal record) and then it's been 10 days and I'm down only 1 lb. Today the scale crept down just a little, so I'm really hoping this thing is over. There's pretty much no way I can finish on time, which is a real bummer. I've never averaged 3 lbs a week, I'm actually around 2 lbs a week and I have 11 weeks left and 35 lbs to go. I'm starting to get used to the idea of having to do a couple extra weeks, but I was really attached to my goal date.

I really could use a good weight loss week this week! C'mon body, please help me out here!

You are doing great:carrot: I never averaged 3 lbs. either after the first month or so. I'd not lose anything for a couple of weeks, and then end up losing five the next week. I'd seem to hit some weights where my body was happy (like now) and I'd have to stay there for a while.

I bet you'll get pretty close to your goal date, but don't worry about getting attached to it. This is a life long change after all.

pbolton1 05-10-2010 12:52 PM

Alright folks, I'm procrastinating. Gotta get on that treadmill!!! Out of here...really :-)

I need to make myself exercise before I get on the computer. HAAA!!

One challenge at a time I guess. I typically get up, light a fire, make my coffee and sit on the sofa cuddling the dogs while I do my morning internet. At least today I sat at the dining table. I won't sit there nearly as long.

GoalAug2010 05-10-2010 11:57 PM

10 day plateau continues... I weighed in today and am still at 197 (SINCE MAY 1 ARG!) They did my body composition though and i'm down 7.5 lbs in fat since last months body comp, so i guess that is good news. But she did my measurements too which were at 47" total! 5 alone in my ribcage.

It's really interesting, my first measurements i lost a lot in my neck and legs but NONE in my hips/waist/chest. The second one I lost a little in my wait and chest, and legs. My third one almost all my weight loss was in my thighs, hips, waist and chest. Finally getting to the parts I really want gone! Woo!

ReadyToBe 05-11-2010 02:12 AM

Congrats on the inches lost!! I'm sure you can really see the difference. Hang on though and I'm sure you'll see a large drop on the scale once your plateau is over and then you'll have us all jealous!

Have you tried switching things up at all? My body gets used to food and exercise FAST and stops dropping weight (I think I'm a highly evolved food storer - I would have outlived everyone during a famine! lol!) Anyway, if you're in a food rut (same things everyday) or an exercise rut (always walking, etc), try something completely different for a week and see what happens. Sometimes it's enough to make your body wake up. I was also told eating breakfast within an hour of waking up is KEY - it's like stoking the campfire of your metabolism.

Yea You for 25 lbs!!

Weighed in yesterday and despite the bad choices in food and being off plan the few days while I moved - I lost 4 lbs. I guess all the moving helped burn off some of the junk. *phew* I was going in expecting a gain!

Past the halfway mark now, woo. :D

that's great news!! yayyyyyy 4 is a great #!!!!!
Did you move out of the area?

SalaamDementia 05-11-2010 10:40 AM

Not really, moved from Greeley to Severance. Longer drive to my center, but I only weigh in once a week so its not really that bad at all.

And thank you. :) I was quite happy with that 4 lbs.

Becky,
I have found that I like the more tart flavors, particularly the lemon and pink lemonade. I have them with lunch and dinner and they taste like lemonade to me. Wildberry is veeery sweet. I usually have it in the morning with all of my vitamins - makes them easier to choke down early.

Seems odd that I'd see ads here all the time for hcg injections though? There's a link on my screen just to the right now--free hcg oral drops trial, how I lost 22 lbs. in 3 weeks - limited time! WITH a link.

Seems they wouldn't accept ads if they don't want it talked about.

Ok, hope my comment won't get this shut down. Just saying.......

It was explained to me by one of the site administrators .... something like this-- the ads are by google ads, and when certain words are used in posts, the ads with those words pull up.

yip JennyJam, it does get easier. I began last August 09, and I wasn't use to having 1 glass of water daily, much less 8, but now I can't imagine a day when I don't drink a lot of water. AND I only need to visit the restroom about 1 time per hour. So, just hang in. It is just such a healthy habit to adopt! --Joy2MeNu

I went off program for a few days and tried to do a fresh start on Monday but I still wasn't feeling ok with it. I went in today and now I feel like I have the fresh start I need. It just seemed like it kept eating at me until I showed them that I was off. I didn't lose but didn't gain either. I was measured and lost 38 inches!! Now I am feeling better and ready to get back on track.

I was in the same boat. I was away on a business trip all week and in meetings. While I ate well and stayed as close to on plan as possible, it wasn't possible. So today is transitioning back into plan. it doesn't help I'm on steroids for my allergies. My blood sugar HATES me!

Hvnlymzic 05-13-2010 01:45 PM

Lost 4lbs this week at WI...pretty sure i've lost that same 4lbs like 4 times now...this is the last time...I'm gonna have an OP week if it kills me...and it won't. Just might feel like it ;) So frustrating to lose and gain and lose and gain...tiring.

I think my ticker is wrong, I might be a pound and a half or two lighter, but I don't remember...so I'm gonna leave it . I'll fix it next week or if I get bored, I'll call them and ask them my current weight and fix it.

I have to go WI in today, and I am nervous. On Monday I was up a pound, and the girl at my center just really made me feel terrible. I understand that I am responsible for my own success, but it was one pound, and it was probably water weight, because I had had some salt and carbs for mother's day dinner the night before, and it just hadn't flushed out? I had gone out to a restaurant, and had like 5 meals at other people's homes over the weekend, and I managed to stay like 95% on program, I was feeling really good about that. I honestly am considering not renewing my contract and just dieting on my own, because I always feel good going in there, and terrible coming out. And the only solution they seem to have is to buy a pill. I know they have a business to run, but they know I am broke, maybe I am going to loose slow without a pill, but I can still loose can't I? I am not a failure because I had some salad dressing because the salad was already dressed and a handfull of tortilla chips.....

Rocki 05-13-2010 07:51 PM

ok..hope everyone is doing well...My question thread on the other plan MRC has going was deleted..so maybe it's not such a good idea. Weird that they'd use it though.

Don't feel bad. I've stopped taking all their pills because I couldn't afford it. I barely buy the HNS from them. I buy the bulk of mine from Diet Direct when they are on sale. They do always have a pill to take. Last time I was in and was up 1/2 lb they wanted me to try the "new"diet plan.. The shot one.. Ok.. If I can't afford $90 for a bottle of pills I can afford the $400+ it cost for that? I don't think so. I just say firmly no Thank you..

Don't let them ruin your success.. You chose to eat what you did. It's not bad.. Sometimes the people at the center don't seem to realize that we all have lives that we live. We aren't going to eat at home and 100 % on program all the time. You did great 95% of the time. Don't let that 5% ruin your acheivement.

I can understand how you feel..BUT...dont let it get you down or sidetracked. Just pick yourself up and move on. 95% is way better than what you would have done before being on the plan, right? At least that is they way I am looking at it. I cheated Mothers day weekend (yep the weekend- I just did my own thing). I knew I was making a choice that would make me not loose but I did it and then I got back on track (not the right thing for me to do I might add). We all have to learn what is good for us and if we are learning during this process, then that is what counts. Be proud of yourself for what you have done so far :) I am REALLY happy for you that you had 95% self control- cause mine blew in the wind for two day :P ((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))

melNco 05-14-2010 02:15 PM

So...today I forgot to bring my protein for lunch (I did have my fruit and veggies) and had to pick something from our work cafe ..they had roast beef...I got it (it had stock so I know it had seasonings). I would have eaten a protein bar but I ate one of them for breakfast!! Argh! Blah!

JessicaM121 05-14-2010 05:06 PM

Thanks for the encouraging words. I went to my WI and I was down 1.5 , so I lost the pound I gained back, plus .5 I actually saw a different counselor than is usually there when I end up going in, and she didn't push one pill the whole time which was the first time that had happened. She was super positive and great. Which is good, because I was down 1.5 in 3 days! That still has my average at like 1.5 a week if that, but still, feeling a little better about life.
