You could also do cottage cheese and tomato since tomato is actually a fruit unless they don't want you to use it as a fruit only a veggie..

Thank you for the suggestion .... I am going to try it. Yes, I am usually constipated

I work at night and I think is what they meant is : I eat my lunch at a time which would be everybody elses dinner:ie 5pm. And my dinner is at 10 pm.. I don't switch the combination of food though. I still eat the lunch foods at 5 and the dinner foods at 10.. It is just that they are at different times than most people..

I like cottage cheese with pepper on it. I've always figured it can be either sweet or savory, which is one of the great things about it. And, I also eat it as a replacement for dressing on my salad.

Just my thought on this -- I have paid fairly big dollars to do the MRC plan, so I try to do it as recommended. And it is working, so I don't wanna lose time trying to find a better way. In another words, I am trusting MRC and so far have no reasons to do otherwise.

Joy2MeNu,
I just love your totally honest opinions!! I agree with you in everyway and you really inspire me. Thanks!
Honestly ladies I don't believe it is the amount of foods that made us where we are today, it is the types of foods we ate. Most of us are carb junkies...
I agree lunch is very difficult sometimes to finish but it all healthy food that nourishes your body. This is a very low calorie diet and you need those things to keep you strong. I agree that reducing your water a while before you eat would be a good idea. Try your best to stick with program, it's worth it.

My advice is that you'll get used to lunch...especially if you're still kinda new to being OP. Change the combinations around. If the fruit is too much, try berries (really good for you and a pretty small ammount in the serving allowed). On the other hand if you're especially hungry one day, choose an apple or an orange, something bigger, more filling. I eat cottage cheese or tuna most days for lunch. Sometimes a little of both actually...it moistens the tuna I think.

I'm plenty guilty of having bread with lunch...especially on Sundays when we eat out alot and bread always sounds better than some fruit. But for the most part I stick with what they tell me.

I too have trouble getting down so much food at lunch. I was concerned that it might be stretching my stomach out which is the opposite of what I want. Then I have been finding that I am hungry again within two hours of eating and realized, that if I didn't stuff myself that much with veggies, I probably would have been hungry even earlier, so the large portions are probably helpful.

I agree with Joy2MeNu that we paid good money to follow what they say to the letter, knowing that it will work. I am a bit frustrated with my new menu, but I just keep remembering that I have to follow it and not over analyze it so that I can get to my goal.

Regarding the cheese - My menu says that you can only have hard cheese once a day and from reading the posts on here, if you have it more often then that, it does stall weight loss... likely from the sodium and fat. Dairy also tends to created mucus in the body and slow things down in general. I too wish it wasn't so. I'm a vegetarian who deeply loves cheese. It's my go-to protien. I've had to eat a lot of imitation meats to fit this plan that I normally would never touch. I'm glad that I have found a couple tasty ones that are actually made of good stuff. I do eat fish, but for some reason cooked fish nauseates me lately... though I could eat endless amounts of sushi, mmmmm.
