Struggling
I am so glad to see people posting about struggling.I am having a terrible time staying OP since I got sick and had to have steroid shots and antibiotics.I am done with them now but having a heck of a time staying OP.I am having terrible cravings and constantly feeling hungry.I think I will try some hot tea.How many pieces of gum can you have per day.I think it is 3 sugar free pieces but I can't remember. On a high note I went to Goodwill to get some pants because I had baggy butt syndrome and got a pair of size 10's.They were the only size 10's that fit but it is a major victory.I have not worn that size since I had my first daughter. So as of right now I am between a size 10-14 depending on who makes the pants.I wish designers would stick to a certain sizing for everyone.I honestly don't know what actual size I wear.

Let me give you an example of what I ate today--- Breakfast: half tortilla with 2 ounces cheese and an egg Lunch: Salad, cottage cheese and half cup of grapefruit, for dinner I had a tortilla with chicken and brocolli and cauliflower- I had 3 HNS one at each meal. I guess I just want this dizziness to pass, it just worries me a little and when I told them at the center they kind of danced around it. Thanks so much in advance I greatly appreciate it. I am on the 2nd day of the beige menu!

I think your body is just detoxing of all the bad stuff. Your body is really noticing the smaller quantities. I would not worry about this, unless it really gets worse or more than a week. Hope this helps.

I truly am going to focus and try to see what I can in the next 3 weeks to take off the last 5-8 lbs. I know they are more concerned with my muscle mass but my BMI is in normal range so there really shouldn't be a problem.
Good luck to everyone and thanks for all the encouragement!

I am glad your BMI is normal. I went in for weigh in last night and I was so concerned when they told me that my body fat was 47% I almost started crying. How can I let myself go that far. I am not even concerned about looks anymore, I JUST WANT TO BE HEALTHY!!! That was an eye opener, if this doesn't motivate me, I don't know what will.

I know EXACTLY what you were feeling when they told you your body fat %...mine was 50%...I kept thinking there was no way my body was made up of THAT much fat. Then she showed me this blob of yellow synthetic fat. It was about the size of my calf. I thought it was a 10 pound blob...she told me it was only FIVE pounds. It was so disgusting to think of how much fat was in my body....but the good news is that when I went to weigh in last week and she told me I lost 45 pounds so far and showed me that 5 pound blob, it was great to know that I already lost NINE of those!

I can totally relate...I started this journey at 52.5% body fat...yup...over half. I have since lost 43.5 pounds of pure fat according to my TANITA at the beginning of February....I'm still at 47.5% body fat though. I have a long way to go on this journey, but it works if I just do it. I'm with both of you...I've had enough and it is time to be healthy!!

I am glad we found this program and the support. We just need to struggle through it together. Because it is a struggle, no doubt. Just today my first day on Pre-conditioning and a co-worker shows me a coupon for Quiznos sandwich, buy one get one free. She said I can get the free one. First thing that ran across my mind, "I can let this offer go", but my health is more valuable than that. So I refused it. My first day and I have to be strong. I can feel already how hard it's going to be. BUt I will just think of my health.

I had to share a small thing thats a big step towards my progress of re motivation! A coworker is having a really bad day and has a giant sweet tooth. I felt the need to get her some sort of treat, and stopped at a cake shop, there are 5 people working at my office, that includes me. I picked up 4 filled cupcakes and passed them out to everyone at work. I didn't have a bite or anything but it still felt good that everyone else was having an enjoyable treat! I didn't feel left out or anything. That was a huge "mini" goal that i will have to keep thinking about whenever i'm tempted with something else..

Good job I will try to be as strong with temptations. Today is my first day and have had many temptations and I feel so deprived. I want to just run and get me a mocha and a brownie so bad. I don't know how will I survive 5 months without any yummy food.

Hello everyone.
I am new to the boards. I just wanted to say I have recently joined MRC. I researched online and found this forum and did a lot of reading about others successes and opinions about MRC. I then scheduled a consultation and decided to take the plunge.
I just want to say "Thank you" to all of you guys sharing your situations. This board and reading posts related to the MRC program helped me decide to do it. I had my meeting last Friday and actually started the plan on Monday. I am on the beige menu to love 50 pounds in 17 weeks. I know this isn't going to be easy, so far I am three days in and feel alright. I am not having cravings for cookies or chocolate but I do wish I ate more of the veggies that are my options and the group 3 meats as well. My biggest fear is getting burnt out on too much chicken and falling completely OP.
I know that I have to do this. I didn't really gain weight until after my, now 5year old, was born. I didn't gain a lot of weight during pregnancy roughly 20 pounds was up to 170 and never lost that weight and gained about 10 more pounds a year. I just want to be healthy for my son.
When I was weighed for my consult they said I was 221 with a BMI of 48.2%. That mortified me. So I just wanted to share my story and I think if I can check back in here and just read about all the successes and slipup's others are having that it might make it easier for me.

What multi Vitamin is everyone taking? I'm trying to use up some in my cabinet to save on cost. They have all been really high end ones until now and now it's the generic brand of the one a day women's multi. Not sure if I should take only 1 a day or take it 3x a day like I have the others?

Welcome!! This board is so great, keep coming here and you will do great on the program!! Check out the recipie thread too, there are so many great suggestions and ideas that it will really help keep you from getting burnt out on too much chicken Then if you still are getting burnt out get the cook book, or take some cooking classes at your center, they always have great suggestions too. Keep your "big goal" in the back of your mind, but so you don't get overwhelmed with a number, right of the bat set small goals for yourself. You can do it!!!

Hello! My name is Victoria and I am starting tomorrow. I'm really excited to start, as well as to meet all of you, since you have all been where I am! I'm 33, with 3 kids, and...61 pounds to lose! They set my goal date as August 10, so maybe I can be brave enough to wear shorts by then. Anyway, I look forward to meeting all of you.
