Hi to everyone! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving day!! I had an good time with my family and then up shopping with them early this morning. I was able to stay OP by pretty much followed the suggested menu my center provided. It felt good not to be stuffed and I didn't really feel deprived at all. On top of that, I stopped to WI today amongst my other running around and have lost 4 lbs since Monday which makes it a 5 lbs week. My best yet! The icing on the cake is that I got to sign the 40lb board!! I'm so excited!

Congrats! That is awesome.

I had a pretty good day. I stuck with the majority of my foods being OP but did have a small spoonful of mashed pot, sweet pot and 1 lf. jello salad. Then caved to a thin slice of pumpkin & Cheesecake. But was never stuffed and felt okay with my choices. My plate was over 1/2 full of OP foods.

Hope everyone else had great days and are happy with what they ate! I go to weigh in tomorrow and will be happy with staying the same!

Tina

Hey....
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share the food additions with me that are on the stabilization menus. I am 1/2 a point away on BMI and my program has ended. I cannot afford to resign again, and they won't let me stabilize because the BMI isn't right on 24. I just want to know what to add back in and when to do it so I can wean myself off this HNS. I think it really sux that I reached all my goals and can't stabilize because of 1/2 a point, but I guess they know what they are doing. Thanks.

tvmitche: Our center gives you a colored gift wrap ribbon (the kind you use to curl around scissors when you wrap packages) each time you are measured that shows how many inches you have lost. My first one was red and not very long, but by the time I was through, it was pretty impressive when you see how many inches you have lost. I was measured in April, May, June, July and a final time in August, which was an inch shy of 5 feet. Each time, I hung my ribbon with the previous ones on the side of my refrigerator, which became a visual incentive to keep OP. And it was effective for my family to see how far I had come, especially when they tried to encourage me to eat things not OP.

Traveling

Our center uses the ribbon, too. I've only gotten one so far, but it certainly is motivational. I love the idea of putting them on the refrigerator!

I did really well on Thanksgiving, with a .4 pound loss showing on the scale on Friday. However, the leftovers got to me, and I'm up a pound. I hate this see sawing back and forth!

This week will be a challenge, with a three-day road trip, hotel, meals in restaurants and at my cousin's house.

Any hints for sticking with the program while traveling?

Thanks!
Meiho

Mine are all on my refrigerator also!!! It's great to have them all there and be able to compare.

Bad Thankslgiving :(

aaaaaaHHHHH I am rather ticked at myself. I'm afraid to even look at the scale after this past week.
I had friends stay with us and we drank way too much and ate even more! I was a total carb freak.
Thank God it's Monday and back to the regular routine!! Did anyone else fall off the wagon over the holiday??:?:
Should I do the first menu or just go back to the green one to get back on track?? I almost feel like I need to detox!!
Why do I do this to myself...after all the hard work I put in?? uuugggh!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

At the center they'd tell you to go back to your maintenance menu & be strict with it - you could go to the green menu if you really want to detox, but the maintenance menu should get you back to normal in a few days - that and a LOT of water!

Yes, me. I fell off the wagon as well. We were on vacation at the beach and I started out pretty good and really made good choices when eating out, but I did stray and have some drinks and did not stick to plan. To top it off, we ate at PF Chang's on the way home and I know that didn't help!
Sun morning I got on the scale & I was up 4 lbs. I drank lots of water -128oz-and got right back OP (without detox--just using the green menu) and today (Monday morning) I was down 2 lbs.
I am visualizing Denise's U-turn big time and getting right back to staying OP.
I'm not going to beat myself up about it. It was a vacation and we had a wonderful time. Old me would have eaten a LOT of junk during that week--New Me didn't. Old me would have continued the bad habits and I am not doing that anymore. So this indicates that I have learned something over the last 11 months ;)

Thanks! I figured it was about time for an updated pic. It was taken on Thanksgiving night. I'm finally getting to where I'm not afraid of the camera anymore :) I guess that's an NSV for me!
