  • How much have you lost in your 4 weeks? Its really frustrating when the scale doesn't show.

Cant weigh in on the period thing since mine have never been remotely regular, but I think it's commonfor big changes in your body to cause spotting
  • I've lost 7 lbs in 4 weeks on Medifast. But the bright side is, now I'm only overweight by 8 lbs, so I'm doing as best I can seeing as how I don't have as much weight to lose to begin with.
  • If you continue to spot or bleed, carefully monitor your thyroid levels and your estrogen/progesterone balance. In some people low carb can have serious effects on these hormones. This is unlikely a reaction to soy unless you have Hashimoto's
  • How are you doing now?
  • Hey Andi24! I eventually did stop bleeding after 11 or 12 days. I did go off plan this past weekend while on vacation in sort of a major way, but I managed to only put back on 3 lbs. I've jumped back on the bandwagon and just plugging along.

    Thanks for checking in!
  • Hey citygirl, I've been meaning to come back and tell you that month 3 on MF was MUCH better for me period-wise. Still a little longer than normal (6 days instead of the regular 3 days), but VERY light flow - nothing like the nightmare of my first month on MF! I think my system is finally normalizing and getting used to this nutrition plan. I hope things are better for you next month!
  • Oh thanks so much @superheroteacher! That's fabulous to hear! Congrats on all of your success, too. It's very inspiring!
  • I'm glad you made it through your vacation! I'm preparing for one of those myself soon lol. Are you losing more quickly now that your period is over?
  • WOW ! Good to know. I have been spotting for a few days and wondered what was up ? I am a lifelong dieter and never heard of the whole low carb/estrogen connection. Thanks for the insight, so glad to have found this forum !!!!!
