  • 10 Weeks on MF w/ Amazing Results
Quote: I'm currently at a week long stall at week four of the program. I'm hoping that the next day to two shows a change so I can continue with my loss. I'm hoping that the two months I'm doing this that I'll lose 20 pounds. I'm down 10.5 so far. Good luck to you.
Hi fellow MFers! And you know I mean Medifasters, not the other connotation associated with those 2 letters, right? I am giving you a hug because of all of your hard work (and prob cuz I could use one too!) I wanted to share my awesome progress so far w/ MF: to date, after 10 weeks, I have lost 52 life-sucking pounds!!! I've gone down 3 clothing sizes, get tons of compliments, and my bp / cholesterol / blood sugar levels are all in the healthy to good range now! My secrets? REad Dr. A's book, Habits of Health -- it is my bible -- and drink as much water as you can hold....and then drink some more! I also take a One-a-Day Women's Energy multivitamin daily and 2 caplets of Heart Health Fish Oil a day. I am an Elementary School Teacher, and so I walk a good 2 miles / day, and then once home, walk the dog another mile or so. I also kayak, swim, do toning exercises, and I just took my first Zumba class last night...very fun, challenging, but man, am I sore today! Anyway, I wish you the best on your weight loss journeys. I wouldn't be where I am today without the support of all of you hard-working, soul-searching, patient, determined fellow human beings....so thank you for your support and encouragement...together we really can achieve a life w/o limitations!

I admit I had a stall this past week too. Can definitely relate! I weighed in today, and had only lost 2 lbs. for the week. Despite increased exercise -- even the intense, body shaking ZumBa! -- I still ate two many almonds and Kosher dills, and now I am seeing the results of that. When I follow the plan to the letter, eat every 3 hours, drink 2-3 qts. water daily, post for inspiration / encouragement daily, walk the dog 1-2 miles daily, I lose 5-6 lbs. per week. So back to the basics -- I'll do what I know works, stop stressing and worrying over what I can't control, and focus on what I can do, and what I have accomplished thus far!

Best wishes for a successful week of weight loss! I am in your corner!!!

  • Be sure that you are measuring and counting ALL condiments. Even herbs, spices, any oils, sauces, etc. I have seen people stall out because they did not realize they could not put sugar in their coffee, use ketchup and mayo, or have a few crackers here and there. Have you tried logging your intake? If so, how many calories and carbs are you getting per day? 85 g carbs is optimal.
