Hi Tammy, Beazer was our largest client we lost when they left Lexington! Ball Our second largest. They are still a customer of my previous employer.

Tammy, so great that you are swamped and busy, I am foaming at the mouth for work! Keep up your hard work and stay 100% on plan and the weight WILL come off exercise or not. Of course, exercise is good too! All we can do is the best we can do. Great that you watch your show and hop on the treadmill, you stalker you! "grin"

Hi DJ!

Thank you so much. I have two dogs, and I love them dearly. A doberman, Magee and a Blue-Heeler, LucyBear. They are great! Such sweet girls, so loving! But protective too. Which is nice.

I wish I lived on that beach, where I want to retire, LOL, NOW that is funny, I want to retire and I don't even work! LOL.

No news on that job, crap! I will find something, I was all but hired then, no word. I have called every day! Maybe I am NOT supposed to work for him/them.

I loved my last job in construction, I was so good at it, made my boss and ME tons of money and loved going to work! It was fun to take a struggling company and help it become profitable.

Thank you so much, for you kind words and daily support!

I like how we do this program together and with support! I didn't have a scale victory last week, but had a super on plan week just the same. I know today that the scale is NOT an indication of my success. Boy I had to learn that though! "grin"

Have a great on plan day dj!

Hi itstime, thanks for the inquiry, sadly or unfotunately, NO start date!

But not giving up. It will all work out, I am so grateful today for so many things.

I will find the job I am supposed to have.

Thanks again for your support.

Dan

Aww, Dan, sorry, I thought you had actually gotten the job. I guess they teased you with it and are now leaving you cold. Something else will come along.

Actually, my name is crystal :)

DanLovesMedifast 10-21-2008 03:21 PM

No worries, itstime, I am just bored, but grateful. I am lucky, I can survive for now, it will all work out, always has, thank you though.

It must be a blessing in disguise I don't even know about, that is how I look at it!

Hi Crystal! Pretty Name!

Medifast for me?

I thought I'd also post this here to get a quicker response, and also because I am leaning towards and would like to try Medifast. I have 30-40 lbs. to lose, I don't love exercise, I do like my wine and enjoy dining out. I have no problem during the work week for lunch and breakfast, eating protein bars and shakes, etc. I am just worried about the weekends when I want my wine! Will I risk throwing myself out of "ketosis" with alcohol? Can you do Medifast for a month and then transition over to something like Bistro MD? Any input or thoughts are greatly appreciated. I've researched them all and I'm torn between getting a quick jump-start with Medifast, because I like simple and portable, or going longterm and slower with something like Bistro MD.

Hi Ashley,

The wine will be a problem with the Medifast. This diet is very restrictive...yet it is very fast and effective. But...You must make the commiment to follow it exactly for the period of time that you are on it. As far as moving on to another diet that is higher in calories and carbs...You can expect to plateau or gain a few pounds at first if you do not go through the Medifast transition back to normal eating.
If you can dedicate yourself to following the diet and transition plan, you should see that 30 pounds melt away fairly quickly and be able to get back to eating a healthy diet and enjoying your wine again. I'm afraid you may be disappointed if you only sorta follow it and then try to move to a higher calorie/carb diet.

Dan-I think Lucybear is the one I was looking at! So cute!
It is good that you have such a positive attitude. That should make the job hunt much easier. Hope something turns up soon! What are you doing to keep busy in the mean time? Have you incorporated any type of excersise yet?

Itstime-I would definitly take the baby to the doctor for some meds...Especially after all the news reports saying that it is not safe to give children under 6 over the counter cold meds. Also...Make sure to get plenty of liquids into the little guy...That should thin out some of the mucus. Hope he feels better!

Missy-Thinking of you today...Hope all is going well:hug:

Well I may have to lay off of the 30 Day Shred video for a while if my knee doesn't cooperate. It is very swolen and sore today. I had problems getting up and down the stairs at work today...But then, I was wearing heels so that didn't help. I'm dosing myself up with plenty of Motrin...and that helps. I may be able to even get through the workout today now as long as I modify some of it to be more low impact. I just feel like I am getting so strong...I don't want to stop now!

Well I'm off to work out!

DanLovesMedifast 10-21-2008 07:18 PM

Hi Djay, Walking 45 minutes a day. LOVE It! I ironically try to stay fairly busy, but want to work. It will work out. Always does. Love to walk though, good for me and I enjoy it, most days. "grin"

I appreciate your compliments, I always try to stay positive and grateful. I truly have so much to be positive about and grateful for so it's not hard.

LucyBear is the Blue Heeler. She is a cutie! They are great dogs!

Kinda quiet on here today?

Ashley, I second djay, if you can't live without wine, then MF is so not for you. You would be wasting your money. Jenny Craig is great and the food is delicious, I think you can have booze occasionally. You might give them a call. Best of Luck!

Itstime- My sons have seasonal allergies, their 4 and 6 and when it gets real bad I give them kids clariten, it clears up all the snotty stuff that drips down into the chest and lasts for a full 24 hours. You should take them, yes, to the DR. and find out whats the cause and the best plan of defense. Good luck! I hate listening to the boys coughing! It just sounds so meaty, but then again, it never seems to slow 'em down! he he he...
Oops, more later, gotta go Missy

DanLovesMedifast 10-21-2008 08:54 PM

Missy, Hope they feel better soon.....

AshleyA 10-21-2008 09:42 PM

I'm going to cut out the wine. Who am I kidding... that's about 50% of my problem. I've been eating healthy, not working out, and drinking too much which has slowly made me gain (more) weight.

Just lurking this week, figuring things out, and now trying to rack up 20 posts for a ticker! Will order on Friday. Is it best to do the Momentum later- at a plateau?

djay 10-21-2008 10:24 PM

Welcome Ashley!

Glad you will be joining us! You are right about the momentum. It is supposed to be for when you hit a plateau.
I'm sure giving up the wine will be tough ( I personally love a glass or two at bed time) But I am sure you will find it will be so worth it!
Hope you will hang around and chat!
