Hi everyone. Quick check-in. Still on track. Have a cold and a busy week so feeling a little bit overwhelmed. I soooo need to find a soup that can fit into the program - soup would be nice right about now (the program soups have soy, so those are a no-go) - any ideas?
Missy - I'm sorry, hun :hug: Be strong and take care of yourself. You WILL get through this one way or another. Djay - I love your pic, lookin' good. -Lisa |
Gee! Thanks for all the nice words everyone! You make me blush.:o
I felt so bad about recommending the benefiber and then finding out about all the carbs it contained. I made it a mission to find something to take it's place. I found something and you don't have to go off plan for this one. Traditional Medicinals makes a tea called Smooth Move. I found it in the regular Supermarket (Kroger) with all of the other flavored teas! I drank a cup last night before bed and this morning well let's just say...Smooth Move is aptly named. It even tates good...but then I enjoy a cup of hot tea on a chilly night anyway..and no caffine! So check it out...It works for me... |
Hope you feel better Lisa, Keep up the hard work! Get well soon!
djay, first, don't feel bad, you didn't know! Been there done that. They were great well meaning intentions and so glad you found smooth move, GREAT to know about! Thanks! Also, djay, Great to see you on mymedifast! |
djay, be careful with the tea as it should only be used once in a while as it IS a stimulant laxative.

Djay, I just gotta groove on the pic again! Ok, this is what happened... YOur avatar went from a Gramma (which you are, but who wants to look like one, right?) To a stone cold FOX. and, btw, I loved your old pic. You always looked like you were smiling at me and supporting me and laughing with me. I just love you!
Jesh, mushy or something Missy? Im really emotional right now, duh right now. Im still just trying to sort things in my head. Too much to think about right now... Lisa, take care of yourself! You could probably go to an Atkins site and get a good recipe for high protien/low carb. Whatever you do, just be careful of sodium in premade things. This is perfect soup weather. Dan-O, look at you go with the info, you really do need to get working! LOL Be good all, have a great night, sleep tight, dont take an off program bite! |
missy YOU are so right, I need to work! lol!

I have been trying to get my ducks in a row on with bidding jobs lately.:stress: I am almost sure I went to Beazer Homes offiice to inquire about doing work with them. I think they maybe did vynal siding homes(I can't spell hehehe). It was either them or Ball Homes or maybe both.:dancer: dj and Dan-I am a calorie counter who needs to get her but back to the gym. I had company from out of town this weekend did'nt make it to the gym. My work is in high demand for me right now. I don't need to let these excuses take me over. I have a treadmill and exercise bike at home with a libary of exercise videos.I did go to Meijer today to pick up the 30 Day Shred. They did'nt have it. I did'nt have time to stop anywhere else. Dj, I know you are doing this video, what do you think about it? :exercise: Dan-How did I get over here with you Medifast good people? I was looking at profiles over at the 100lb profile place and saw you . You look familar and I saw you were from Lexington so I clicked on to Dan and found out you were posting here. Would I be called a stocker? probably hehe! Also Dan if you can watch the Biggest Loser show tonight at 8:00 NBC you will see why we have a Blue Team and what that is all about. Very popular show right now and very motivating! Comes on every Tuesday! But don't do this while you are watching:corn: I have been walking on my teadmill as I watch the show!:tread: This will be another busy busy day for me :spin:. Good Luck with each and everyone's choice! Whatever our plan is let's stay in tuned with it and watch as we see results!:dust: |
Awww Missy:hug:...don't worry about being emotional right now. You are so freekin sweet! You have made my day so many times that I have lost count. Sending all my love and support your way! Hang tough! We have lots of laughs ahead!
Dan- Have you heard anything about a start date for the job? Also...after looking at your pictures I have to tell you that I am in love with your little dog! He is so cute...And I Have to know...do you live on that beach? Susan- How is this week going? Is it still comming pretty easy? Lisa-Take care of yourself! Hope you feel better! Tammy- Stalk your way over anytime to chat:lol: I LOVE 30 Day Shred. Also, If you have a Wii...Jillian Michaels is comming out with a workout game for it! That actually comes out today! I preordered mine at Amazon.com. Can't wait! Unfortunatly, I am going to have to take a couple of days off of 30DS. I have some arthritis in one knee and 30DS is very high impact! My knee is swelling again. I tried to modify the moves and make it more low impact last night...but I think I better stick to walking til the swelling goes back down. Jillian puts alot of pressure on the knees. Have a great day all! DJ |
Well, I am back from my boyfriend's sister's wedding. It went off pretty well, despite the fact that the date was pushed forward from April and it was planned in only a month. I was worried about how it was going to come together, but the things that were not able to make the final cut were very minor.
Anyway, we got home on Sunday and I woke up at 4 a.m. Monday morning with the stomach flu! I still haven't been able to keep anything but gingerale down. Thank goodness it happened AFTER we were home from the wedding. Apparently Medifast shakes are too much for my stomach? I dunno. I can't even keep pepto bismol down, so maybe it is due to the thickness. Not sure how I got sick. I know one of the bridesmaid's kids went home sick after rehearsal, but I am not sure with what... In addition for my lean and green I went to get a chicken salad from Sonic, and that was the only thing I ate different from anyone else (aside from MF but it hasn't made me sick before,) and none of the other people in the wedding party are sick so it could have been food poisining. Anyway, I guess I better get back to bed and rest. I am SO hungry, but my stupid stomach won't let me digest anything :/. I guess at least I am still losing weight, but boy is this a nasty way to do it! :p |
Oh and by the way,
Missy- I am so sorry to hear you are having those hardships right now. *hug* djay- you look awesome! Dan- congrats on your potential job Sorry if I missed anyone. Trying to read fast before I feel sick again... |
Susan - that sucks! I'll take a cold over that stomach bug any day. Get your rest. Wishing you mend soon.
Dan - I'm also wondering when your start date is. You're not sharing much about this job LOL! missy - more :hug: to you. Dumplin - Props to you for calorie-counting ... that's HARD! It's what I was trying for a long time before realizing I just can't do it (well, maybe if someone put a gun to my head :D). So I know how hard it is and you seem to be doing a great job at it. |
PS: OT, thought I'd pick your smart brains a little. My 2 year old has a chest full of phlegm and keeps coughing and choking on it all night long. He's too little to really get that stuff out of there and it seems, um, not liquidy enough. I've given him over the counter cough and expectorant stuff for kids but not working. Anything else I can do to help get that stuff out of him?
