Yea I hate wasting alchool too and Tim Horton's coffees .... I'll refrigerate the coffee if I don't drink it and keep it for later or the next morning... In a restaurant I don't feel guilt anymore because I take a doggie bag if I don't eat it all... I used to feel guilt throwing the kid's left overs in their plate, but I got over that, it took a while tho... I just close my eyes now and throw it out rather than eat it... Eating it is definitely how I gained weight!!

I had to give myself a little attitude adjustment on the left-overs thing. I've always been fine doing doggie bags and such when the food is re-heatable. But there are some things that just don't make good leftovers and that's where I felt compelled to eat all of it.

Not anymore.

In keeping with my princess complex, I now view those things as a luxury. I can sit there and smile to myself and think how very lucky I am that I can just throw it away. What a gift!

Over in the Atkins forum, we're doing an equator trek as a way to track our exercise. For activities that can be measured in actual miles (walking, running, biking, etc.) we just count them. For activities that can't be measured in miles (pilates, aerobics, weights, etc.) 20 minutes of activity = 1 mile.

The objective is to collectively tally up enough 'miles' to equal a trip around the equator.

Thought I'd put in my 2 cents here!

I agree with the people who say, "I can't have it in the house" I am like that with LOADS of things, especially biscuits (cookies). But I looked in my fridge last night and realised there's: 1 full bar, 2 half bars of expensive chocolate, 1 box, 2 half boxes of expensive chocolates, 3 half tubs of organic luxury expensive ice cream, a whole tin of expensive biscuits in the cupboard and some luxury potato chips and a bag of French truffles. Why haven't I given into temptation yet? I know I'm a total chocoholic, I also ate about 1/3 packet of "cheap" cookies the other day in a mini-binge, so why haven't I eaten the posh box full?

Because... All these "treats" that I have in my house are just that. TREATS, absolute no holds barred, luxury treats. They're expensive too! I don't want to wolf down a whole bar of chocolate that I just spent £2 on! ($4) I want to savour every morsel! If I bought a packet of biscuits that cost 20p then they'd probably be gone before I got them in the cupboard!
