Default TGIF Friday, August 24

Good morning, everyone! Gorgeous day here and looks like a good weekend coming up.

This morning I will work on setting up the Church yardsale - I have decided not to bake this time but will give a donation instead. My pineapple cakes cost about $4 to make and sell for $6 - what's wrong with this picture? Do have chili sauce and zucchini relish to contribute, however.

A wee bit of Office work to do this afternoon, the bank and then I'm done. Harry and I will have a relaxing dinner (duck, I think) and then early bed for this chick. I plan to be on the 401 (like an Interstate) really early tomorrow morning to go to my Garden Nutcase meet. Should be fun.

See you on Monday morning. Have a good OP weekend. And play nicely!

Higgles

Good Friday Morning everyone!

I'm just dashing in and dashing out again as I have to gather everything up to take to my grandma's house tomorrow early in the morning. I havve to help her clean her carpets and floors before the baby shower on Sunday. All is prepared, now it is the big set-up! Have to finish up folding clothes and packing and corraling the wee one and maybe a nice cup of tea with my neighbour this morning.

Have a fun time with your garden crazies Ruth!

Have a great day and an equally wonderful weekend!

Default Good Morning!

Hi all...
I"m feeling a little better today. Trying to find some ways to keep busy and stop the whine-fest I've been having...
I noticed all the mentions of Curves, so I decided to look in to it. I went on all the web pages I could find, and of course there is a Curves less then 15 minutes away. I assumed it was pretty expensive and with all the stuff were doing in the house (basically re-building the bath, and totally overhaul on the kitchen) I told myself I couldn't afford it right now......well, surprise, surprise it is sooo inexpensive that I have not one single excuse! I have an appointment on Monday to do all the stuff! That means they'll weigh me and take measurements right? Hopefully I can stand that and go, that will be the only thing stopping me, I know, stupid, but the idea of someone actually knowing. Like its not obvious to look at me, but someone will know actual numbers!
My dh and I were talking about accountability last night. I don't really have any. So guess what...you guys are going to be it for me....I am commiting to writing here at least 3-4 days a week and being honost about my struggle. Hope you can all stand it!
Although I did start back at LC'ing this week I didn't weigh or measure before I started. Saturday morning is going to be my big measure and weigh times. Once a week for measureing and once a month for weight. I did that last time and it really seemed to help, I saw the loss of inches long before pds., so its better to see that weekly and not have the frustration of the scale!!!
Have a great weekend all...
Stacey

Hi,

Stacey - You're going to love Curves! Don't worry about them knowing your weight & measurements. If they're anything like the people at my Curves they're really encouraging & just as excited about my losses as I am! They'll also measure your body fat % which goes down pretty quickly as long as you keep exercising. And posting here often will help keep you accountable. You don't want to have to tell us that you fell off the wagon do you?

Peach - Please give my best to Jiff. She is in my thoughts & prayers.

Hi Ruth, Pooky & all to come!

Jennifer

I have never heard of a place called Curves. Is this an exercise club or something? Is it just in the East?

Today I had my WW weigh-in and was down one more pound. Not a big deal but my clothes are feeling a bit looser and I noticed this morning that the steering wheel isn't digging into my belly any more. This is a "good thing".

Looks like lots of people are away right now so we'll probably have a quiet weekend here in the henhouse.
Stacey, you go ahead and vent all you want. That's what we're here for and I check in every day whether you guys want me to or not, so I'll be reading whatever you post.

Have a great OP weekend, Chicks.

good afternnon chicks (and roosters if you are lurking)

I have had a difficuld day at the offfice. I am a bit frusterated, and do not know what to do. but it will be resolved and i do not know how to help it at this time. I know that did not make much sence but it does to me so i am venting just let me ramble.

Linda yes curves is in the east but spreading fast. it is a very populr exercise program/gym. I am so excited that you are dropping. I know the feeling when things start to change. way to go girl.

Stacy way to go on the curves joining. great job.

Pooky can i borrow some of your energy??? I need an infusion about right now!

Ruth I have not had duck in 18 years. I agree that giving a donation is better, someone wi.ll be missing the pinapple cake but the cause will not. donate the chili sauce and zucchini rellish, I would by that if i were there!

Linda - congrats on the loss. You're doing so well. I'm really happy for you. Like Sue said, Curves is a fitness center for women only which combines circuit training using hydraulic resistance & cardio. You go around the circuit 3 times in 30 minutes alternating the machines & doing some kind of aerobics on little platforms. It's really energizing and fun, & it's a complete workout in 30 minutes. Mum2Five owns 2 franchises!

Sue - Sorry you had a frustrating day. Hope you get to relax over the weekend.
