Default The Great Pumpkin Hallowe'en Challenge.

Okay, all you losers... ...and I mean that in the nicest way. It's time for a new challenge and I had this brainwave to make it an 8 week goal. The last challenge was the first time I've ever attempted it and I found it really helped to keep me focused. I hope the rest of you enjoyed it as much as I did. I figure losing 10 lb in 5 weeks is nothing to be sneezed at working out to 2 lb a week and if I can continue at that rate, I should be down 16 lb by Hallowe'en. However, I'm going to cut myself some slack and state my goal of 12 lb. Who's going to join me? It doesn't matter what weight loss plan you're on. This is something we can all participate in. Weigh-in day is, once again, Monday. Good luck.

Okies, Linda, congrats by the way on those 10 lbs, those ones you earned!

So my 8 week goal. omg I just figured out what 16 pounds gone would be 174! Holy, that's almost to virgin fat! Well since I'm all about corrupting the innocent, let's go for 173 by Halloween. So my goals are:

1) Starting weight 190, Lose 17 pounds, weight 173
2) Exercise 5 days a week for eight weeks
3) Starting measurements, 43-35-43, with a goal of 40-32-40 (thanks Meowna for the measurement inspiration) time to break out the weights again.
4) Finally, no fricking tuna salad!

I do believe I've become a drill sargent, that #2 is going to be tough but I've done it for 2 weeks straight already so what's another 2 months

Ready, Set, Go

Im in!

I managed to meet my "new" goal on the last challenge, which was to maintain thru the rest of the summer. This is the first summer since I hit puberty, that I didnt gain any weight. So that was a major accomplishment for me! Even when I had lost my 100lbs, I had put on 20 over the summer which I had to reloose once it got cooler again.

Im not going to get on a scale (part of my challenge) Im going to use my jeans as my guide. So my goal is to be in a size 14 jean by the end of this challenge (Im in 16 now)

Good Luck everyone!

I will join too! I would like to lose 15lbs by the end of Oct. I am 180lbs now, measurements 44 34 44, lets say 165 lbs and measurements of 42 32 42 I think that is reasonable in 8 weeks.
Joining the Ladies gym here this month when little man starts daycare. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL! :-)

Default I'M HOPPING ON BOARD!

This fits in nicely with my greatly anticipated dr. appt on Oct 23rd, at which time I hope to be down to a weight that will surprise my dr!! (hopefully, but we all know that the evil dr's scales weigh us heavier!).

So I am at 194-195 right now, and my Hallowe'en goal is to be down to around 185. I also plan to exercise at least 3 times per week!

Will check in every Monday, which is also my "offical" weigh in day anyways.

Wishing everyone luck!

Froufy

P.S. May I suggest that each Monday we start a new "hallowe'en challenge thread" to avoid one that is toooooo looooong?

I'm in too!! I am going to set my goal at 12lbs. I am at 208 now and that would put me in that wonderful onderland place. I will need to bump up the exercising to reach this goal and this might just be the motivation I need. I may need your drill sergeant attitude Tummy!!

I'm in! I intend to be in the mid-180's by then! I seem to be stuck just inside ONEderland but plan daily exercise in the next two months: walking, gardening and Body Flex - not all at once, sillies!

Oh, I do hope my Body Flex stuff comes soon so I can join you in that, Ruth.
I think Froufy has a good idea about starting a new thread every week, but let's make it every Tuesday. That way we can all report our weekly results on Monday's thread and start a fresh new week on Tuesday. What do you all think of that idea?

I'll give it a try! Halloween is my birthday and I'm going to try to lose (dare I hope?) 16 pounds and make may way under 300. That would be a grand birthday present, I think.

Ok, I am in again! I am going to go REASONABLE this time. Let's face it, I lose at the speed of a turtle, so a challenge shouldn't be asking for miracles. I will say 8 pounds, one for each week.

I will:

1. Exercise 5x a week.

2. Drink at least 64 oz of water daily

3. Stay OP except for those beautiful 5 pound victory dinners.

4. Start using FitDay!

That's it for me.

Wow! It's been ages since I was involved in a weight loss challenge.
I'm going to set my goal at 10 lbs by Halloween. And a mini goal to start excersizing at least two days a week (lame I know, but two days more than I'm doing now!)
