Dd and I are off to the amusement park. Looks like its going to be a nice day for it. Not too hot, and a few clouds

Have a great day everyone!

Ooohhh Pooky, now I have the song in my head.."Just another manic monday.." Reminds me of simpler times.

Hope life is getting better everyday, or at least a bit easier. Do you know when you'll be moving yet? Or is that one of the great unknowns in all of this?

Weekend went well, even exercised both days, heaven forbid! Who knew you could get stiff forearms from exercise? Geez it's uncomfortable to type ugh. Oppsy I better not go around announcing that they're stiff, people might get the wrong idea. So anyway...totally OP this weekend with food and the sweating part. Didn't even have too many emergency pages YAY! Just have to wait for Friday then no more pager for a year! Can't wait, it can't come fast enough.

Got a bit bored with food on Friday, but made my favorite taco salad and am doing much better now. I few meals of that and I'm good to go again. So doctor wants 50lbs gone before I stop induction and I do believe I can hang on, it's only 20 lbs away till berries! I can do it! So my next 2 goals are #1, get to 189, goal #2, berries!

Have a super day everyone, I'll just be daydreaming about strawberries, don't mind me.

Finally! I can sit down! If it wasn't for the phone and everything else, I'd be fine

I'm still in surreal shock over our transfer. The full impact I'm sure will hit me when dh goes to Atlanta in a couple of weeks and has a chat with his boss. Right now, things are so busy that no one has really had the chance to talk to him. We really need to know concretely what's happening.

Eating is better--I ate all protein and drank water last night--it's all I wanted really. I have yet to eat brekkie--maybe some devilled eggs.

Hope you all have a fine day

Oh and Deb, got your pm, I'll email soon!

Morning!!!

off soon to pick up mom and go buy a bottle of hair dye!

feeling pretty good, especially if I drink two protein drinks a day.

Robin, have fun today!!!! How much fun is it to go to an amusement park and not worry about fitting in the seats of rides?

Tummy Girl! Hey! take it easy with the arm exercises...you want to make sure that when the time comes that you can lift those berries!!! Seriously, you are doing terrific!!!! WTG

Now, Pooky, sweet thing....Debkay is sending you pm's? Listen, I love her to bits but if she should start talking to you about a certain baseball team...remember YOU HAVE CHOICES!!!! If she suggests that you exercise your arms (turn away tummy girl) in a certain way that resembles a tomahawk chop...you RUN, ok?
Hang in there, Pooky!

Good morning, ladies...

I've been pretty busy, so haven't been on much.

After trying to go 'strict' for a week and losing 1 lb, I decided to go back to how I was going my first week or two. I'm back to drinking the shakes and eating the bars again, as well as drinking stuff with aspartame. After 4 days I was already down about 2lbs. So much for worrying about those things!

Hi Everyone!

It has been a busy morning for me! I got the green light from the Dr to go back to the gym and do my weight routine, so I didnt let the grass grow! I was back there today! I love that eliptical!! GOt a good upper body workout in too!

WI today and was down only .5 pounds. I think I might take Tummy's way and stay on induction for the next 20 or 30 pounds.. I added the berries and some watermelon this week.. so I am wondering...

I have to run.. gotta go to the bank and post office and get the kids their back to school hair cuts! I cant believe school starts a week from tomorrow! AMAZING!!

I'l check in later...

No weight loss this week even though I've been OP. Must be the Atkins bars.
I've just posted a recipe in Miscellaneous Low carb dishes called Cheese Biscuit Thingies. . I stole it from another low carb website and I can't remember which one but I made this recipe last night and it's quite good. It's like a soft savory cookie and could be used as a base for mini pizzas, sandwiches, even hamburgers. I made 15 cookie sized biscuits (they don't rise like biscuits but a bit of baking powder might get them to). The entire recipe is 20 gr. carbs.
I just had a couple with liverwurst on them but they're also good with egg or tuna salad. I was even thinking of putting the batter into tart shells and making little cup shapes out of them for filling with good stuff.
I didn't realise how many great recipes we've collected. I urge all our newbies to have a look. In fact it wouldn't hurt all of us to check them out again and start having more variety in our diet. I tend to stick with the same old same old. No wonder I get bored.

Pookster, where are you moving? I was supposed to be going to sleep, but I am getting a crazy second wind now...are you moving to Atlanta, or is that just where an interview is? Ooooooh, a new southern chick!

Linda, I'm OP and not losing either. Like I said on the challenge forum, I think it is the calories. Also, after posting, it occurred to me I have not been the best exercisier. I do great then I suck. I worked such long hours last week my feet just didn't have it in them. I need good work shoes, not fashionable ones!
