Morning chicks and rooster!

A beautiful day here in the north east with the sun vibrant and begging to be enjoyed.

Not much on tap today. I managed to get in a workout yesterday. I have gotten VERY flabby this summer and I need to get back on track. School is just around the corner and I am looking forward to the routine as much as the kids need it.

The kids has a sleepover on Friday night and spent the day with friends yesterday. i didn't get them until 5pm. It was wonderful to spend the day reading and getting th laundry done.

I have 2 errands to run today and assuming it gets a little warmer we will go to the pool.

Happy birthday to Jennifer I hope you had a wonderful day, lucky it was on a weekend!

Pooky, thoughts are with you....

Catch you all later, but enjoy the day too.

hey peach, you snuck in on me...how are you feeling? How goes the healing and weight loss?

Good Morning...

Another beautiful although windy day today. Have some puttering around the house to do today, laundry, making lunches for next week. I've been having to fight the urge to go clothes shopping again as most of my clothes are looking rather sloppy right now. I keep digging out my old stuff in smaller sizes and luckily most of the stuff isn't too dated as I haven't fit into most of it for years. But I so want some new stuff. Alas, I'm going to wait a bit longer or by the time I get to goal there will be no money left at all.

Fiance brought home the taebo tapes for me to try out since I'm beginning to exercise now and holy, I did the "easy" one yesterday and I can sure feel my abs this morning wow! Can't remember feeling my abs, well, ever. Aside from that, it was great fun, and totally different than any other workouts I've done so that will help keep me interested.

And found out something rather humourous yesterday. I'm small framed! I actually laughed out loud. All my life I thought medium and maybe even large but I'm not even borderline, definitely small. Well there goes that coping mechanism for the extra weight .

Have a great sunday.

Karen, my doctor did this measurement thing with my elbow joint, it was something like the smallest part of the elbow joint and then he compared it to the standard meaurements. Not totally sure what the "standard" numbers are but he said it's the most accurate test as compared with the wrist measurement. I'm considered small boned with that one too though. It may be on the internet somewhere but I haven't looked yet.

Happy Sunday all!

DH and I spent yesterday and last night at the cabin. It was so good to get away. My friend who started Atkins last week was there and she and her hubby fixed supper for us. We went swimming and spent the rest of the evening playing Trivial Pursuit. We played women against men and the women won both games. I'm so relaxed. I wish the weekend were a few days longer.

Anyway, have a great Sunday.

Not much going on around my neck of the woods. It was quite chilly here last night and this afternoon it's overcast. I sure hope we get some rain.
I've just been pottering about doing this and that but no major accomplishments....like exercise, for example. That's too much like work.
I wish you all could have heard me on the phone earlier today. My hubby's sister from Germany phoned. She speaks no English and my German is...well let's just say it's minimal. She talks so fast and I can only remember the German words for slow down and not so fast (I learned those as a new bride ) To make matters worse I had a friend sitting here laughing her head off at my stumbling attempts to converse. Luckily I was able to get my niece on the phone later and asked her to call her aunt in Germany because I didn't know what the **** she was blabbering about. I haven't heard back so I guess nobody died.

The darned scale showed another gain this morning. Here I thought I'd gotten rid of last week's little gain. I'm getting really ticked off here. I'm in ketosis and still not losing. How mean is that!!
