I been on the Atkins diet now for 125 days.I was looking at the carbs on the advantage bars It says 22 grams of carbs and then says 2 net carb's total.Say I miss a meal and say I allow 20 grams a day and Im at 12 carbs and I cant eat dinner. If I ate that bar does my carbs go to 14G or 34G.
The way I understand it, is that you subtract the fiber grams from the carbo grams and this becomes the net carb - the carbs you would count.....someone correct me if I'm wrong.
That's how I've handled anything I eat. So I believe Peggy is correct but I'm no Atkins expert. I've been off and on for a couple of months. Now I'm on for good.
I think the net carbs are 2. People have said that they don't loose using the bars. but I believe that is by those who have used them as meal repacement every day vs one once in a while....so your net should be 14
You also take out the sugar alcohols and glycerine. The glycerine isn't usually listed in the regular nutritional listings, but they usually have it off to the side on an explanation. At least it is like that on the Atkins Endulge bars.
