I am so ticked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a huge post catching ya'll up on the yucky and good stuff in my life and lost the damn thing!
Dang! The new computers were delivered and hopefully ds, Chad, can come over tonight and hook us up! Till then guess ya'll can only guess what dh is a sh and thinks I'm moving to SC AND how I looked in the new khaki skirt and tank and WHY I wore them and disappeared for a few hours! AND whether or not we're planning on selling and buying/building by the lake! Grrrr!
Oh, MamaJ, I am soooo glad to see you. I've been watching for you on the news about that damned Claudette! I'm glad you are OK. Now we need to catch up on the news. It sounds like you have lots!
Peachie, you are as much of a coffee addict as I am. I assume it's real and hot coffee, not that iced stuff you Yankees like. (Actually, I've never tried it!)
Yesterday started with a bad thing - the tree on my car - and ended the same way when I got an email from my pal Rob saying he could not assist the Judge for the Fair schoolwork. However, all is better this morning - the car is OK and the mess cleared and Rob's partner will probably help with the judging. No, I really am cutting back on Fair involvement. All my stuff is done before and after the Fair. So no nagging.
I managed to find some decent geraniums to replace the ones Harry helped me kill with strong fertilizer! He is still on my ****-list for not listening. I'm beginning to think I must write out stuff to cover my butt. My house is sort of advertising for Lurker Lorraine's Greenhouses so it needs to look good at Fair time. No need to mention where the new geraniums were bought!
Planting, Fair stuff and allergy shot this morning. I'll check on the Church this afternoon and see how the painting is progressing. I somehow think the estimate of 3 days was a wee bit off!
Have a great OP day, Chickies. I hope everyone manages to check in - even with a !
Been trying to get caught up on my laundry. My basement has that yucky basement smell now (happens every summer) and Ive been waiting for a nice , not too windy day to put the laundry out on the line. So far I have 2 loads done and one more to go before I head off to work. (interesting stuff eh?)
Ive finished my first full week of induction, and Ive lost 9lbs! Thats 2 more than I put on during my stress eating. So that was a nice bonus I didnt do any exercise this week, but I'll start today, and hopefully keep the weightloss momentum going .
I'm back. I just started Atkins today. I already screwed it up, but I'm not going to let that get me down. I need to get my but skinnier. I went to Hershey Park (an amusement park in my area) and was horrified to find out that I just bairly (2lbs more and I wouldn't have) fit in the ride seats. It was embarassing! I went with my sister (who is 148lbs and thinks she is fat) and she could care less what I look like, but it was still a realization for me. I couldn't stand looking at the pictures they take when your on the rides!
Well I'm using this discust I had for the pictures as a reality check and want to be a lot thinner when I go next year. So I'm off again to start loosing!
Well, I for one, am awfully curious about what the sh hubbies have been doing to cause such wrath in the henhouse today. Maybe there are advantages to having a dh who is seldom at home or who, when he is home, is snoring into his soup.
This morning I helped my friend out at the baby clinic. We weigh and measure the babies before they get their immunization shots. What a load of cutie pies! Then I went to a local children's store that had advertized big savings on name brand children's wear. Well, with a new grandbaby arriving in late Oct or early Nov., naturally I was a willing victim. Not knowing the sex makes it a bit harder but I did get a cute red outfit by Osh Kosh that should just fit the wee one for Christmas and a couple of other garments in larger sizes. I think I have this kid well clothed right up to age 2 now.
Unfortunately, on the way home I was irresistably drawn to the local Dairy Queen and ended up bringing home two...count 'em TWO cheeseburgers, a small order of fries and a box of their low carb fudge bars (as if low carb makes a difference after you've had a total pig-out ). Well, I have sinned and now I hope to mend my evil ways . : At least I won't be tempted by peanut butter anymore. I finished the jar yesterday.
save where you can, babe! of course that is coming from someone who will be laying on the slab in less than a month to have her innards re arranged!
and L....if your mad at him...I'm mad at him too!
Bella, I feel your pain. I always wanted to go to Hershey Park!!!!! (it is near Chrissy B!!!) I hear Christmas is great there too!
Robin!!!! Congrats on that 9 pound loss!!!! that is super!!!
Ruthie? No nagging on the fair ground stuff? Well, maybe I better use the cause then I can mumble around it!
Janice, Sweetie! How are the puppies? Your dh/sh thinks you are moving to SC to be closer to the Jersey girls? He thinks you are having a secret affair with Raul? Your going to SC to hitchhike with your new puppies and Goodforme to the north east looking for a mobster? I could keep going!!!! I could make a whole new post on this. could be fun Where DID you go?
love,
peach
ps...I am serving de caf if any one would care for some. Ruth? You have never had an iced coffee? not even a mochfrappe thing from Starbucks?
You'll never guess where I am--OHIO!!! At the last possible second before dh was leaving to go on his business trip, I decided to tag along and here I am in Port Clinton Ohio. Drove for 6 hours from TO to get here and got in late last night. I am typing this from dh's work so it's the only time I will be able to get online until maybe late Saturday when we finally make it home.
So far having a great time, lots of fun strolling and shopping--tomorrow I am hitting the beach since Port Clinton is right on Lake Erie. Dh has to work tomorrow so it's up to me to amuse myself. Not that I'm complaining!
The highlight of my day was buying some snazzy new duds at the local Walmart--different stuff from what we get at home and the deals! Even with the conversion I'm saving bucks! Dh is having a good time too--if he didn't have to work we'd be lying on the beach I'm sure.
