Question Eating Out on Low Carb

I eat lunch in restaurants everyday. Where I work we
have places to eat all up and down the area. We call it "Restaurant Row" I know that I can have Salads with
Chicken, or Beef at most of these places. What I was wondering
is if anyone knows if their is a site out there that lets us know about the carb count of any of our favorite places to eat. I want to eat at Macaroni Grill. I know that the pasta is off limits but I was wondering what they put in to the Chicken Scallopini. It has artichokes which are "Devine" but I am not sure what else is used in the sauce. I am just starting low carb again and I am trying to plan ahead. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Barbie
I tried to find the info at their website, but it doesn't list nutritional info. It just says "lemon butter sauce". Sorry

Barbie, you might want to check the main page of 3FC, anc click on the menu on the left for Fast Food Nutrition. We have some nutritional listings of restaurants there. Macaroni Grill isn't listed, but I'll see what we can find from them!

The last time I was on low carb, and went out, I just ordered the a normal meal, like steak, fish, or what ever meat, making sure I know they arn't adding any extra sugar in, and just get them to give me two veggies instead of a starch. I have never had any problem with doing that.

Also, if you go into the rest and ask them to tell you if they add any sugar, or starch of any kind, they will tell you. I don't know any that wouldn't. Just let them know you need something with very few carbs and you were wondering if they can tell you what is in it. It shouldn't be a problem if you catch them during a non busy time. You can also just call them from you home and ask.

Hope I helped,

What ever kind of meat your having just ask them to broil or grill it. Then you should be safe. Instead of the potatoes or FF, ask for steamed or sautee'd veggies.

Big salad, bring your own dressing if you can.

This is what I plan on doing.
