As mentioned, the first two weeks of induction usually jump start weight loss. Glad to see you are following the plan and exercising.
You should get good results - however you should also make sure your goals are realistic (I also tend to "overestimate" how much I will lose).
30 lbs in 8 weeks means you will need to lose over 3 lbs per week - which is a bit above the average loss of approx 1-2 lbs per week. Please remember your weight will fluctuate as you progress.
Have you taken your measurements yet? If not, you should as many times you will lose inches before lbs and this will help with your motivation or discouragement if the scale is not moving as you want it to (does it ever?
