Default Daily Cluck - Tuesday, May 13

I checked and Earlychick Pooky is not online yet so we are not double posting. I'll save this and come back.

Raining this morning - again! Three days in a row justifies a weather whine. The dogs were reluctant to go out last night at bedtime so I was greeted with a "deposit" on the kitchen floor this morning. Lucy was off her feed for a while but I guess he is back on now.

Today I am going to get that darn purple outfit done enough to hang it on a hanger. I am also going to drink as much water as I can to flush out last night's carb binge - see my journal if you need to know the details!

Hmmmm - this sounds whiny. I'll get another coffee and pop back a bit later.

Morning Ruth and all to come! Going to be a hot one today, and the boss is going to stick around my office all day, boo-hoo. She is a great lady, but boy, does she have issues!

Food wise things are going great, exercise wise, not too hot. This weekend my foot started to feel like the bone in my heel was rubbing on the floor with every step. Bone spur? Any advice? Thanks!

Hope you all have a great day, talk to you soon!

Morning! I made it thru day 1 of re-induction. I've packed lunch and planned out the day so day 2 should be a breeze.

The funeral for the preemie that a co-worker lost is today, so pray for the family please. I've got to get to work, but I'll be back later.

Good Morning Ladies

Dyan, good to see you back here
...prayers for the baby's family

After the cableman incident yesterday, it got very quiet around here. Hubby and I went shopping for a new tv. Trying to decide on a flat screen or a curved. We found one of each we really liked. Then we came home to watch tv, and there wasnt anything on at all last night that either of us wanted to watch, and hubby turned to me and said.....Remind me why we want another tv??!! lol

We took the truck in yesterday to get looked at. Hopefully they will find something wrong with it. Otherwise, I will always be leary of breaking down in the middle of no where, or worse.

Thats about it for me, I hope everyone has a great day

Robin

Good Morning Chicks!

I am slowly returning to reality, including my computer, after a glorious week off. My MIL has a place in the Caribbean and although my DH goes down from time to time by himself to help her out, I usually only get to go with the whole mob. To butter me up for more trips on his part he encouraged me to take advantage of a slow spot in our schedule and take a break. The house was empty anyway and with FF miles the trip cost $35 plus my food (which I brought with me mostly). I had a fantastic week off but am back to laundry & bills & clients & kids & ...

Although I ate OP (I prepared almost all my meals) I didn't drop any weight . I suspect it was a combo of carb creep and too much aspartame - the water is from reverse osmosis and tastes flat or metallic or something so I kept mixing it up with Crystal Light - I probably drank a gallon a day that way. Ah well, at least I didn't gain...

It is cold (especially to me!) and dreary here. At least that encourages me to get back to work!

Have a good one!

Angry Good morning !

Another lovely tho hot day in Houston. But nice enough early this morning to open windows for a bit.

I got a wonderful surprise phone call from DD in England this morning. She & wonderful GBB's are doing great. And very busy planning the wedding. As much as I miss them it's great knowing she's finally with a good man and is happy.

Ruth-Three days of rain definately deserves some whining! And to wake up to a puppy "puddle" on top of it! Hope you get some sunshine in your day!

kfs-How wonderful to take off to the Caribbean! Hubby wouldn't have to tell me twice! No gain is a good thing after vacation!

Robin-Vehicle problems! Good luck! How's the shop coming? Did you ever find your moose pattern?

Dyan-Great to see you back. Special thoughts & prayers for your friend today.

Good4me-So, how's the little Miss? And things with BF? My mom has bone spurs on the bottom of her feet. She has to have them "scraped" (?) off and wears a pad. Very painful-hope it's not that!

Hi to all those lurking or to come!

Things here are the same. Stephen is on the good side of things again. Last good bout lasted a few months and lost for about 3-4 days. We're starting once again. I wish you could meet him-you'd never guess that he's the one child who's blessed me with so many gray hairs! I just can't give up on him. DS, Michael, is doing good and very anxious for the summer to begin. DH has been pretty good. I think the weight loss and "tightenings" are having a positive affect on his attitude! All in all, the important things in life is good.

Still having puter problems but DS, Chad, is sooooo busy with his promotion I'm not sure when he'll come and complete the repairs but till then, I keep trying to post!

Hugs to all!

Good afternoon everyone!

Still here in Toronto, aka The Big Smoke, waiting for dh's travel visa to the U.S. He went for his interview at the consulate this morning and he has to pick the visa up tomorrow afternoon betweeen 3 and 4pm. Put a real kink in our plans since we only intended to stay till today and be home. M and Rosie are at my gran's house and I've had to cancel her preshcool for tomorrow.

Had a terrifically over priced lunch with my SIL, organic greens and sauteed shrimp and really delicious! Of course the near $15 for it wasn't so delicious Had my fill of sashimi at the asian buffet in Markham (suburb of Toronto) mmmmmm....waaaay too good but oh so OP! Tonight's menu I don't know about yet.

I'm at an internet cafe now and sipping some cappucino, hold the sugar and the chocolate. Dh is doing some work on his laptop and I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here May not get another chance to check in till tomorrow night so have a good one chickies!

Well, after a few days of carb ODing, I'm trying to get back on track today. It's nearly 6 pm and so far so good. I worked in the garden for about 3 hours today and only came in when Peter came in the driveway needings some paperwork done in a hurry. I made us lunch while he was home and managed to stay OP even though I was famished by that time (2 pm).
Tomorrow I'll be back at the pool. I had to miss a couple of times recently and I really do need it.
Nice to read all the posts (and Ruthie's journal...watch those GG cookies).
I'm off to watch the Ottawa hockey game.
