I'm here --just had to drop the wee one off at daycare. In for a long and arduous day ahead of me--the marathon carpet washing continues. I'm tackling the toy area today--sheesh and that is SUPER messy too! Why do I do this to myself?

If you remember, a few weeks ago I had a dilemma about Jane. I started a thread about it and got some great advice. Well, Jane phoned me and I guess they're still coming to Wisconsin. Her sister wrote Jane that they don't have time to see Jane and her DH and Jane is sad. Oy vey! Well, I just wrote Jane that we will be out of state during the time they are here. I don't want to hurt Jane, but it is the only way I can deal with the situation.
Well, am on my way. I have laundry to deal with and this afternoon I have a Ladies Aid meeting.
By the way, we had some severe storms go through yesterday. We had marble sized hail and high winds. A truck, pulling a tractor on a flatbed trailor, got stuck in the ditch in front of my house, It was very handy that they had a tractor to pull themselves out with. This afternoon I'll check if we have hail damage.
I wish I had the energy or the enthusiasm to do my carpets or the million other jobs I should be doing...I will call the gal who may become my housekeeper...I have to bite the bullet and have her in before I get things the way I want them....you know the clean up for the housekeeper trick...
I have been pretty much OP except yesterday was a tough day...had dd4 to the doctor as she has been unwell off and on for awhile and has had a fever since Saturday...they are thinking diabetes...so I have to take her to a clinic today at 10 am at the big health center here...I am hoping we can get to the bottom of things...I had a sick son who died almost 6 years ago after many trips to many specialists and I am afraid without sounding like a baby that I feel like I am going through it again in some ways...so last night I went to bed before I ate anymore...but that ws after eating 20 points worth of cheddar chesse

My morning at the salon was fabulous! I sure am going to miss that sweet little boy who does my hair. Maybe I'll find one just as nice in the Northeast. (Sigh.)
Pooky -- I am so with you on the carpet cleaning and play area cleaning. Yowzers!
DD#2 has bee a real pain in the butt lately. She's been so crabby. Remember she's 2 and a few months and I really need to find a way to help her deal with her frustration besides throwing things and hitting people. She's really getting a little temper about her. Must be from her fathers side of the family!
It's great to see so many newbies! Welcome to EVERYONE! I will second what Pooky said: this is a great place with a lot of support. There is such a wealth of knowledge here and there's always something hilarious going on!

i am on the run as usual. Off to the car dealer as the seat leather has come unhooked and I am feeling this should be under warenty, then off to the plumbing store and carpool. I got little done this morning. i was playing with a new clip art program. I am hosting a Mom's night out next week and the house looks like a tournato hit it een after the cleaning lady yeterday. now that is SAD! So I have a lot of stuff to put away and a ton of junk mail to ditch.
jenni where are you going in the northeast. i have lived up an down the coast my whole life and may know a cutie or 2 that i would be willing to share.

I went back to bed after getting DD on the bus! I'm just so lazy these days, yesterday I accomplished NOTHING! I think I need to go get my thyroid checked and maybe up the dose a bit! Maybe I'm just the lazy-fat-chick you hear so much about!!!
Lots and lots and lots of laundry, I swear it just walks around outside and gets itself dirty!
Think I'll venture to Costco today. Hadn't been there since I moved to Houston. The one in CA and in Nova Scotia was just a little run-down. I went to the one here to pick up DS birthday cake, and had the most wonderful experience!! I had noticed that the cake rang up as a carrott cake, when I questioned the cashier about wheter or not it could just be the tag that was wrong, she freaked. She called over the manager, who in turn called over the bakery manager, she said they'd get me a new one right away, I said I had less then 2 hours, the little cashier girl put her hand on my back and said "Don't panic, we'll have it there if we have to delivery it" How nice is that!!! I walked back to the bakery and the manager had already begun searching for another cake, I mentioned maybe we should check it the cake I had was actually chocolate. It was!!!!! I went back up to pay, and the manager grabbed me on my way out the door, took my reciept, rerang it, and charged me a PENNY!!! What can you buy with a penny??? A cake for 30 at Costco!!!!
Can I ask a very personal question?? Everyone can ignore this if they choose. I'm curious if anyone has any personal experience with depression. I don't mean someone close. I mean you, yourself. I think I may possibly be depressed. I don't know if I go to my regular Dr. (that I of course don't really know since I'm new here) or do you go to a psycologist, or what? I'm also wondering where you draw the line between lazy and tired and depressed. How do I know the difference??? Also, what does anyone take if they have been diagnosed?? My friend told me not to take something that caused her to gain enourmous amounts of weight..
Any help out there??

Yes, it's me, long-lost Chickadee! I've been going through a pretty rough time lately with my health. I've been having monster periods from **** for a while now, and I ended up having a series of biopsies done because my doctor suspected cancer. The really good news is that it's not cancer, probably just fibroids on the outside of my uterus. Still waiting for tests and ultrasound to be sure. The problem is that I'm very anemic and having trouble getting the iron levels up because I already have a blood disorder that makes me anemic to begin with. Plus my thyroid has decided to go all out of whack again. And, my arthritis is having a field day. Quick, someone get me some cheese to go with my whine! Anyway, I've been pretty pooped and cranky and sore, but I do read you all most days! I've missed you all, even if low-carb is so not happening right now.
Softball season is in full swing and even with all the health crap, I love coaching. I have the most wonderful co-coach. I sure hope the kids think we're as fabulous as we think we are.
That's about it. Just thought I'd check in and say hi. Hey Jif Thanks for you advice a while back on getting to a doctor. It really helped! I'd call you a Peach, but you'd probably take it the wrong way.

Ruth-lmao with the "birds of paradise" (who are legend to poop on your head for good luck) story! Honest to God-with all the visits to the courthouse with Stephen, I took a cigarette break (yes, I smoke) and went downstairs where there's a slight edge of the roof of the court house and about six foot of sidewalk. Well, I was standing there enjoying the fresh air but not the high heels I was wearing....I shifted a bit to loosen my foot out of my right shoe and just after I did....PLOP of pigeon poop hit! One of the lawyers who was also enjoying his break started laughing and said, damn, that's going to bring you good luck today! I went back to court and Stephens case was dismissed!
Tip~~Good decision! I probably would've done the same thing especially after all the soul searching you did!

DD (Kudos) and I finally got enought paperwork and records together to turn in to the state comptroller for the four year audit. I've been a complete basketcase! We probably won't hear anything for about three months, but I'm sure our little mom and pop ice house business will cost us bundles by the time they're through with us. More stress!
DH is in the dog house and he's kissing up. I'll explain more later cause I really could use your opinions.
