Good Morning Taz and all those to come!

Jenny, I'm so glad you had a wonderful time on your vacation--you deserve it you work so hard!

Peachie and Jiff where are you?

Janice, how are your puppies or anything else you wanna share?!

How's your leg Barb?

Linda, don't fret honey, you will get those pounds off--you just need to be ruthless (note: not Ruth-less! )about your food in the house. Throw out all the undesireables now so you can get a hold on this! You can do it!

Sherrie, have you and your man settled differences or are you back to square one? sending some your way!

Miss so nice to see you out of lurkdom!

Robin, sounds like your spirits are lifting too over new inventory for the store, today is supposed to be 13 degrees here so it's a sign of good things to come!

L, orthodontist!? happy paying......

Hello to all the newbies

Today is going to be a gorgeous day and I plan on doing some much needed yard work. I may even nip into town to get a quick haircut. Other than that feeling good and ready to do something contructive!

Have a good one everyone!

Good Morning Ladies

Hiya Pooky, Taz and all to come

Linda, your quilt square sounds lovely. I used to do alot of quilting, but gave it up when I had my daughter.

Miss, well from the sounds of it, there isnt anywhere to go but up...I'll be thinking of you.

Another sunny day, we had lots of ppl in the store yesterday, but nobody bought anything Maybe I need a shorter skirt? Hubby needs to wear his muscle shirts? What do you think? Oh well, lots more stuff coming in today and next week.

Long day for me today.....hubby is on a job site until about 5, and Im at the store til 7. So, I'll be all by myself all day pretty sad!

Nothing too exciting in my corner of the world....I hope everyone has a great day.

Robin

Hello to all. gpt the stitches out of my knee yesterday and an free to start back on the bike, and can start warter aerobics soon as the scabs are gone (hopefully my Monday)

Mom took me to the doctor yesterday and then we went shopping and out to eat. she is trying (and I must say succeeding) to stay busy. she says when she's home by hersself is when it's really hard without my Dad.

After we ate we went to my GS's open house at his pre-school. He did'nt know we were comming and it was such fun. He was so excited at seeing us and showing us everything at his school. What fun!!!

Well, the bicycle is calling me, so I'd better go get it over with. wish me luch!

Default Back Home Again!

at MEW and at LindaBC!

Had a great trip in breautiful British Columbia. Their Spring has progressed to our mid-May which was just great. However, they certainly do have April showers! At least our rental car had a roof and wipers!

We had dinner with LindaBC and her hunky hubby - so nice to see her again and have a garden tour! I imagine she is still washing her kitchen floor to get the sticky champers off it. The cork is somewhere in her house. I saw the fabrics she has chosen for her Frazer Valley quilt square - it's going to be gorgous! And her Bleeding Heart bloomed for me!

We had a super time visiting with MEW and Dave, the grandbabies and doggage. Dave cooked a fabulous meal Saturday night - the stuffed mushrooms were even low carb! He makes a seafood pasta dish with a real live lobster! Lucky MEW!Harry and Matthew seemed to relate - he is so cute! Matthew, not Harry! Sunday I hung out with MEW while the men went to see Dave's lumber operation and then we had an adult dinner at the hotel. (Rack of lamb!) Monday morning we dropped in on MEW again for a while - so nice to see my DD three days in a row! I am planning to go out there again in the fall for sure.

All in all a great trip - Butchart Gardens were fabulous. Harry got to eat sushi and had a meal at the Keg - he'd never been there! I also discovered I like martinis - a lot! Oh well, they are low carb! I found Harry managed much better than I'd expected. His legs really give out on him by evening however but he did manage the walking OK until we hit the airport yesterday when it was "finally swallow your pride" time and he let me tour him around that huge complex in a wheel chair. I guess that counts as exercise - those things are hard to push!

Today is decompress day as we adjust to the time difference. I will be leaving shortly to pick up our furry babies and then will try to catch up on all the posts. Either you chicks were very good or you went back and deleted all the juicy bits!

By the way, I lost a pound and kept my BGL in normal range although I definitely was not low carbing.

Catch you later! I missed you chickies!

Hello everyone! Well, it's Friday at last, I'm going to sleep like there's no alarm clock in the house tonight. The time change messes me up for at least a week.

Pooky, thanks for asking, my man and I are slowly but surely getting things where they belong. We are going to counseling, to help us communicate instead of fighting like cats and dogs. That is always a big issue in every relationship, but especially ours. We both have some issues, who doesn't? But, it's in God's hands now, where it belongs, and I'm just along for the ride. I appreciate everyone's concerns.

Going to take a nice bath and read for a while, then it's snoozeville for me. Have a great weekend, everyone!

<sigh> just been too busy. and i'm not real happy about that. saw the surgeon for what's now my annual postop visit, and am down another 5 pounds in the past two weeks, for a grand total of 267 lost. < i knew you all needed to know that>

and helping out a friend who smashed her shoulder and damaged her brachial plexus [that major nerve that starts in your shoulder and runs down your arm, branching off as it goes, so that she only now, after 8 weeks, can wiggle her fingers!]

and exercising
and working
and mom duty

i've talked with peachie twice this week, i think. she's been really busy as well.

wish i had something more exciting to say, but there just isn't anything. more over the weekendk i hope, but taxes have to be filed....

love you all.. an sherrie, honey. counseling is a great thing, but bottom line, he might not be the right one for you. only you can decide that. but as peachie said, if you like him, we like him. if you think he's scum, we think he's scum.

greetings all you low carbers from the 100 club -
question for ya I have been doing fitday.com for about 3 weeks now (previous ww) - what percentage do you to have your foods at? protein, fat, and carbs?

my carbs are at 46% (approx 202 grams per day - I know probably high for you guys),

fat 34% (10% sat),

and 20% protein - I've really been trying to increase that last number.

What are yours at?
seems most of my protein comes from chicken and soy nuts! any ideas - i don't eat fish. (yuck - poopy - yuck!)

Hiya Slimdown

My fitday for today said I ate: 11% carbs, 42% protein and 47% fat. Fat coming from 2 oz cheese and 1/2 cup cottage cheese, pulled pork, and salad dressing. Nothing really bad.

Hope this helps

wow!!! 11% amazing. I think I do that by 9 am... yikes...

I've heard a rule of 40(carb)/30/30 - I would just like to get there first. - then see.
