Question Fast losers

SORRY! i dn't mean to be a board hog, but I have tons of questions lol.
I read a lot from people who say they are slow losers. Anyone lose fast on low carb? Curious to compare results and also what might contribute to a fast or at least more steady loss.

My husband has lost 30lbs in 4wks...I would say that's a fast lose.

I've heard from many that men tend to lose faster than women do too.

I think everyone loses weight on their own pace. It also depends on what you are eating, are you drinking enough water, are you exercising.

Personally, I think a lot depends on a person's age and what meds they are taking. WHen I was in my early 30s I went on Atkins for the first time and I lost 13 lb in the first week and steadily after that. I had no trouble getting into deep ketosis and I felt marvelous and full of energy. Now that I'm much older and on several prescription meds, it's much more difficult for me to lose weight on ANY weight loss plan. Getting old is a b***h but it sure beats the alternative.

Its just plain puking hard no matter what plan you are on! But letme tell you Ifeel like I'm going to die if the weight don't start coming off faster. Some days I can talk myself into staying on this diet and other days I gulp protein and can barely contol myself. Can you tell I'm fed up. My gf went ont his and lost 40 pound in 4 months. Well not me! I'm really mad! There has got to be a way. And I'm not on meds either. Drinking all my water and not cheating! So why oh why don't those scales budge. I've almost had it!

What do you mean the scale doesn't budge for you. I see that from Jan 6 to Feb 6 you lost a total of 12.25lbs. That's pretty good for 1 month's loss of weight.

How often do you step on the scales? Try not to any more than once a week. Also have you been measuring yourself? You could be losing more in inches.

Don't be so hard on yourself...you'll get there.

I know what you are saying but since the 6th I've only lost a pound and a quarter. For the last week I've been up half a pound from 224 and a half. And I've stuck to the diet. If I'm not careful I'll finish this month with a 2 pound loss!

Is it your TOM? This can cause a slight increase in weight or make it look like you aren't losing any weight. Maybe you're stuck on a plateu.....
