  • HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Anne, it's freezing here too. I hope it will warm up soon. Your chocolate bars sound delicious. I bought some carbolite bars and they didn't agree with either me or DH. The movie was sooo good. Both of us throughly enjoyed it and I would highly recommend it.

nikki, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY That's great that your muscles are looking a lot better. More than likely you have gained muscle and that's good. Keep it up. Did you get that winter storm? I don't know whether or not we'll get it. It depends on if it warms up or stays frigid. As you know, they always get the weather right.

Take care and hope you all have good evening of celebration. Have a great weekend.

    Aleka
  • Happy Valentines Day Ladies!
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Thank you for the Anniversary thoughts. Mine day turned out to be much nicer than I imagined. DH's Drs. appoinment was cancelled, due to weather, so he was here and awake a big part of the day. He bought me flowers and they are very nice. I bought him a massaging pad that fits in your chair (from Walmart) it really does give a good massage. It has heat and different intensities of vibration, you can use it in the car too. It was only $40 and I sure do like it. DH likes it too
Our weather is not too bad yet. The temps have been above freezing most of the day. It started to rain a few hours ago and now it is starting to turn to ice. Then we will get about 6 inches of snow, they say. I am happy it is wet, I just don't like the frozen stuff much.
DH and I have planned out our garden for the year. I want 2 vegetable gardens and it's his job to till them. I sure hope he gets around to it. He does tend to procrastinate sometimes.
The rest of the work is mine. But I love to garden, so it's not work to me. It has been awhile since I've really been able to grow vegetables like I'm planning to. I'm all excited about it. One garden will be for vining plants like zucchini, cucumber, squash and the other for tomatoes, green beans, onions. Lettuce goes everywhere and I'm planting celery just to get some celery roots. I've grown it before and the upper part isn't bad, but gets a little woody if you don't water it enough or it gets too old. I want other things too-herbs and thought about finally planting some grapes. I've thought of planting grapes for the last 10 years, this may be the year!
Just thinking about spring is wonderful and fills me with joy.

Aleka, your going to FLA soon right? When do you leave?

I'm getting everything ready for next week. I made a small pantry in DD old closet and stocked it with enough food to get us through 4 weeks. That way DH won't have to go to the store for too much. He really will have his hands full and he hates to shop. I made a really large pot of beef stew today and will freeze a lot of it. The diet is on hold until I'm back on my feet again. I will still eat health-no added sugar and lower fat content, but I'm just not going to worry about losing any weight until I'm fairly healed up.

Talk to you all tomorrow, take care, Nikki
