Talking Read the Book!!

Okay, venting but sheesh!!!!

Several of us are doing the lc thing and being really good and loosing. We are doing it by the book.

One of these women in the office has NEVER read the book, NEVER even done the basic research on it etc. Has noooo clue what is low carb and what isn't.

Then, I smell (gasp!) popcorn!!!!!!! I come running out the office with "Who did it?" and the lady who "thinks" she an lc'er comes out with "What? Popcorn isn't lc?" OH MY GOSH!!!!!! "But it says, it's "Lite". I thought that would work.

Where do you even begin? I didn't. Just slapped my hand to my forehead and turned around and walked off.

Sheesh!!!!

Too funny, Some people have no clue!

My vent for the day is with Audiovox. I bought a new portable DVD player and it ruined the first 2 disks I put in it. The problem is they are 2 of a boxed set.

Audiovox does not warrenty the DVD's....UMMM HELLO IT IS A BRAND NEW DVD PLAYER!!! I want to know where the quality control is and why they will not stand behind their product.

So my weekend project is to leave messages on any and every web site that asks for product reviews. I will also e mail Target where I bought it, and returned it (Audiovox offered me a re-ferb, UMMM HELLO IT IS NEW!!!!) and tell them the trouble I have had with Audiovox. They are a major company with a lot of buying power....

OK back on the subject, get her a book and see if having a buddy at work won't help you out....it may make the day less frustrating..

I agree fully. However, which book are you talking about? Remember there are many more LC books and programs in this forum besides Dr. Atkins. So far I've not found one that allows popcorn, however!

Check out the low carb diet section of the 3FC home page to see the number of programs and books that are Low Carb. This is not to put down dear old Doc. A - just a reminder that we are not all in the same diet plan boat although we are rowing in the same direction!.

Scooby,
Target was great, they took it back no problem and I made sure to tell them it was BROKEN.
It was Audiovox that would not reemburse me for the DVD's it's new player scratched beyond being able to use them. I wanted back the $50 for the boxed set...4 DVD's in the set, the player ruined 2. They offered me $20 for the 2 dvd's if I took a referb and the tech department could prove it was their machine that did the damage. But only $20 for the 2 scratched ones...But Hello!!! it is a set and I can't just get the 2 DVD's...All i can say is that I will do my best to make sure that anyone looking for reviews of the product will know EXACTLY what kind of company Audiovox is..

Thanks for listening to me vent
