Default Friday At the Hens Coop

Good Morning Chicks,
Today I am going back to work. I feel better and havn't had a frothy poop in 24hrs. I heard on the radio that there have been no new cases at the hospital for 48 hrs. so I hope that I don't get it again.

Ladies please tell me what are pork rinds? If it is the salt pork, the fat with skin? And do you use it salted? How, what do you do with it?

Starting the thread at 5:30 am this wonderful cold Jan. morning. This will be a quick day as everyone will want to know about my days off. I will just tell them to get the flu for themselfs.HAHA.

I am going to go to the phsio dept, after work and workout for 30 min. as I am going to be later picking up DH. Our son has just started Michelin on Jan. 2, so he is travling with us while he is on day shift.
I put this in, but what is a jiggy?

Well all for now as I want to read some of yesterdays other threads, Stay close to OP, today, and remember "eat your worms," and spit out the germs, we need the protein
Love, Tazcat

My sister is a child of the 80's and no matter how hard she tries her hair reflects that, I just plain need a style. So......I entered our names in, now we need to wait and see if they contact us. I'll let you know.

Not much going on today around here. I hope you all have a terrific low-carb day.

Oh Taz - thanks so much for the "frothy" - I was wondering how to describe it. Mine seems gone. Our hospital in Brockville is closed still as are the nursing homes. What a terrible virus!

L144S - try not to mope while you are minus a kid for the weekend! It's nice to have a bit of extra space. Too bad about the DVD. I am sure you will not be a wimp when you take it back - want the Chicken Purse?

Yesterday I learned never to Fly Lady your comnputer! I did the 27 fling in here and now can't see my pictures. Graphics Image Server is no more. I suspect it disappeared when I ditched Calendar Creator which creates nice calendars which disappear in 3 weeks! It WAS free software but sheesh! This morning we are off to buy a new PC as this one is slow and very low on storage all the time - 3GB and a 33 modem.

Uncle Rob is going to give Lucy an early afternoon pee break so we will take our time in Town and maybe even go to lunch. We have a gift certificate to Eastside Mario's which is also accepted at Montana's and Kelsey's, both a better choice for a LC lunch. Harry also needs another jacket - he says he doesn't. I just tell him we need something nice to bury him in! You can tell we both have a sick sense of humour!

Harry got up early today and I can smell Canadian bacon and coffee - see you later.

If I disappear for a long time, you'll know I am having problems setting up the new PC. Hmmm - I won't unplug the old one until the new one is working.

Happy TGIF to all.

It seems if Idon't make it in in the morning, I don't make it in, and it's been really hard making itin in the morning. Only lost a 1/2 pound since I last weighed, but that makes me at 5.5 for the month. only 4.5 to go to goal. (for the month!!! not for ever )

HI Chickies!!!

Happy Friday to all!! I am going in late today, and don't fall over, SHDH got up and took DS to school so I would not have to get up and dressed....I was so impressed I got up and made him breakfast....got a 30 minute walk on the treadmill in and am going to jump in the shower when DN(dear nanny) arrives and then go run errands and have lunch with DS at school. How much more fun can one have on a Friday!!!!!

I have been pretty conscious of what I have been eating and no weight loss whatsoever, I have also been walking on my treadmill at 4x or more per week, I am frustrated but DH says I need to have some patience it took 5 years to put on it will take awhile to come off, easy for him to say he has lost 6 POUNDS in the last week and a half....

Taz- glad you are feeling better
Ruth-a new PC I am jealous....what fun you will have!!!
Deb-I saw the makeover show(actually taped it) You would be a great candidate I bet they call you!!!!!
L-enjoy your weekend!!!!!

Talk to you all later!!!!!!

Morning all!!

I have a little input on the pork rinds--I was at the grocery yesterday and a freind of mine was in there--she looked in my cart and all that was in there was a head of lettuce, cheese, milk and pork rinds--she said--"getting only the neccisities huh??" and I laughed and went with it--then she says "PORK RINDS??--do you know that pork rinds is just pig fat and salt?? that'll clogg those arteries!!" I just laughed her off and told her I'm doing things MY way for a change!

Speaking of MY way--I went off-plan last night and had a few Miichelob Ultra--that used to be my ritual on Thursday night--a few beers and the NBS shows--Friends, Will & Grace--ER...and since the shows have been off for so long.....well, I kinda went off the induction and had my Michelob Ultra--not to bad--only 2.3 carbs..but I'll admit I had about 4 so...you do the math!! And no I did not count them in before I had 'em--hopefully I will do better today!

well girls--off to take Little Queenie and her freind to play at the mall--her favorite thing to do!!

Default Happy Friday

Mis - I know you are not supposed to drink during induction, but I have personally cheated on this. It hasn't seemed to make that much of a difference to tell you the truth. I am a wine drinker and that has less carbs than beer though.

I couldn't help but weigh myself this morning and I have lost 2 lbs since Monday!! Whoo hoo. What I think is making the biggest difference is the barley grass juice I drink in the morning (lots of fiber) and I'm also taking 3-4 metamucil tablets in the afternoon. I seem to be having a really good "clean out" everyday.

Happy weekend everyone!!

Default Good Morning

Sun is shining somewhere behind those clouds today.....Im just sure of it. Im starting to feel the effects of winter

After my couple days of travelling, and not eating properly, but being op for 2 days, I checked the scale....Im up 4 lbs Im positive 3.75 of it water lol I cant get my rings off, and usually I have a hard time keeping them on. Lots of water today and hopefully a walk. Depending on the sidewalks. Although with the 4lb gain, my jeans are looser in the behind.....go figure.

Got my haircut yesterday, and for the first time, I felt old!!! I told the girl (cuts hubby's hair) that I wanted a feminine version of Rod Stewarts new cut. Well, the bubble gum chewing young lady didnt know who he was!!!!!!! Im thinking, "now what?" I know what I want, but how do I describe it?!?!?! Well, she got the point when I told her I wanted it short and kicky bit on the spikey side and looked like I just got in from a wind storm. She did a great job!! lol

Tilly ......Way to go!!!

Off to work, and a major clean out......we have to redo one of the windows, and some major remerchandising. Alot of stock is sold and we have alot of empty shelves. Nice to see but now we have to buy more to fill the shelves lol

Have a great day Ladies

Good Morning everyone.

Mine is not so good, yep, you guessed it, the Norwalk virus has decided to visit me. And thanks for the visual taz! Called in sick to work this weekend last night since since I know for a fact I won't be straying far from my bed (or the bathroom for that matter! ) for the next few days and I just can't face working a 12 hour shift like that! Just thought I'd check in--sorry I'm not more chatty now, well, I guess you can understand...

meowna... don't despair about your son... peachie's son [my nephew] is a darling, communicative, creative, fun loving, smart child who gives hugs and plays... his turnaround has been near-miraculous, and i credit peachie and her husband for doing all kinds of research and not settling for what the school district said was possible.

so, take your time, ask all the questions you want, and make sure you get answers!!!!! and if the people you're talking to don't give you answers, FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!

Afternoon Ladies,

Well, just awoke from a little afternoon nap--boy do I love to nap!! it has to be the single BEST thing to do on a cold winter's afternoon!!
Took girls to mall this morning, and had lunch there with a freind--I had the insides of a Taco salad--Man did I ever want that outer shell--but I restrained myself and just ate the good stuff!

Just about ready to flip through the Atkins Magazine--anyone else get it? Hoping to find some lo-carb recipes!!

see ya--
