It is now 5:25am, -9 cold and "I feel good".

I received my books from Amazon yesterday, I think that it is only 3 days since I ordered them.
Question, do you find it cheeper to order on line or from book stores?? I got SS book for $25.00 it's cover price is $37.00 canadian .

Good morning ladies - could not sleep so I gave up, have read the paper and am headed for cup #2 of coffee!

Going to take Christmas down today, I think, if kids pitch a fit I may wait a few days.

No big plans for the weekend, going out to dinner with friends tonite - NO KIDS! Took them out to Ruby Tuesday's last night 3 yr old DD showed her butt acted terrible - there was a couple sitting behind us with an infant looking at us like "can't you do anything with her" I wanted to smack this woman and say JUST WAIT!!!

Good morning everyone! Rachel, I absolutely HATE people like that. My dd shows out every once in a while, and it's embarrassing enough without people looking at you as if you condone that type of behavior. I'd like to smack their heads together. Especially when that infant they have starts whining and crying for it's bottle! Give me a good ole temper tantrum any day!!

It's cleaning and laundry here today, dd is gone to grandma's so I can have some peace. Maybe the clothes will stay in the drawers this time? Her favorite pastime is pulling out everything to find "my favorite shirt" which is usually hanging in the closet anyway.

Yuck, I hate me today. I need caffeine and an attitude adjustment. I'll be back later when I'm in a better mood! You chicks have a fun day, okay?

Today is four French hens, I think. Good because I'm not sure what to have for dinner!

Taz, I hope you have dug out from under that lovely white blanket. We are still relatively snowless - just a sprinkle, nothing that needs shovelling. Regarding Amazon, did you get billed in American or Canadian bucks? That could be the difference. I've been unpleasantly surprised when my Visa bill arrived. However, sometimes it IS cheaper ordering online.

Oh Rachel, I can so relate to the restaurant scene and getting "the look" from other diners. When MEW was a baby, we were in a restaurant and she chomped on a glass. She sat there with hunk of water goblet in her mouth and a wee drip of blood on her lip. Did we ever get "the look".

Goodforme, sorry you need attitude adjustment this morning! Enjoy you DD-less morning and glug that caffeine, OK?

Slept late this morning after a fun evening at my friends' house. Would you believe we played Trivial Pursuit? Have not done that for years. Lucy had a ball because all her favourite people were there - she kept going and getting boots and bringing them into the parlour. We got home at midnight and all woke at 8:30 for a change! This must be how normal people live.

I indulged in a half bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon this morning. My it tasted great! A year ago it would have been two whole bagels instead of the half which really was enough for a late breakfast.

This morning I get to do the Dump Run - oh joy! Harry's arthritis is really bad lately and I don't want him slipping into the dump and breaking something. If I play helpless at the dump, some guy always pitches my stuff for me. Lucy and I will be going for a village errand walk after that - to work off her excess energy and see if I can pump mine up!

Hello Chicks. It's nearly noon and I'm thinking I should be making lunch but we had a late breakfast and dh has gone off to do whatever it is he does and I don't even know if he'll be home for lunch. I DO know I didn't pack him one. I told him I'm on vacation.
We just got a call from a young couple with a little child who want to come and visit us this afternoon. This is the same little gal who was here just over a week ago with her Daddy and was so fascinated with my bread machine. I don't have it running today so she'll be disappointed. I really, REALLY don't feel like having company today especially the wife of this couple. She's just so bubbly and exuberant she wears me right out. My "Grinchiness" is back full force and I just want the season to be over and done with. Probably too many carbs making me b****y. But, I will dig out the last of the Christmas goodies and hope they eat them all.
Taz, the unsweetened cranberry juice is greatly diluted. One cup a day mixed into about 8 cups of water. It's part of the Fat Flush Plan which I'm thinking of returning to for a few weeks just to get me back into low carb mode after New Years. And, no, I won't be able to make it to NJ in May unless I win a giant lottery which isn't likely to happen.

I just cleaned out my closet and dresser. I still had clothes that were a size 7. After our "Saturday Morning Snuggle" I told DH that I was going to do this, that I was tried of hanging onto things in the hopes that someday I'd wear them again. He offered to buy me all new clothes when I reach my goal if I'd throw the old stuff out. He also said he'd buy the "transistion" clothes. Talk about incentive. New clothes that I don't have to justify to myself. I used to love to shop for clothes, now I hate it worse than going to the OB/Gyn. That's alot! And it's worse living in FL. No one here wears enough clothes. Skin everywhere. At least up north I could hid under sweaters. Not here. Summer starts in Feb and ends in Nov. Anyway, I didn't mean to rant, I'll shut up now and go shlep the clothes to the Goodwill.

Sherrie-I had the same kind of day at work, I am glad I am ready for bed now. I just put a color into my hair and that turned out nice, I think. I like to go from red-blond to blond reddish, it is now more red.

Ruth dear, it is Saturday.

Dyan-That is what is nice about starting a diet this time of year, by the time summer rolls around, and you take off the heavy clothes people notice that there is something different about you. haha

LindaBC- I will win a large loto and take us both.
