Good Morning Taz.

to all to come!

peachie 3rd grade homework.........I know how you feel. Are you still crafting, or are you done for the Christmas season?

Sherrie take care of yourself and little Tommie.

Ruth hope you continue to get better.

Janice you too!! Hey a trip to the shore sounds good..............but you do know that's a northern beach and they just can't compare to "our" southern beaches Peachie, I'm just kidding!!!

samsgrandma......is there any talk of Tom Glavin signing with the Mets?

My youngest child is now a licensed driver She turned 16 in April, but we made all of our kids wait until they were almost 17 to drive. I wasn't ready for her to get it even yet. And you won't believe what happened when we called the insurance company to add her on as a licensed driver.......our yearly premium went down by $600.00!!! Not because she is a girl...........no, because we rated her on my 20 year old son's truck.........which makes him a part time driver and her a part time driver of the truck. It seems that reducing his driving time is what made the insurance go down. The A/B good student discount amounted to almost nothing and the fact that she had drivers ed, while it didn't hurt, didn't help a lot either. Don't get me wrong I think all teen driver's need to take drivers ed. I'm just not ready for MY baby to drive all alone. We let her drive to her friends house yesterday afternoon, I'm bad about wanting to protect her but hubby was a nervous wreck until she called and said she had arrived safely. I told her not to be surprised to see my BIG red van in the rearview mirror following her to her friends house........but I didn't do it......wanted to, but didn't.

Sorry so long..........i'm just rambling away.

Need.......more........coffee!!

Debbie

Angry Happy Humpy Day!

Wet and soggy here in Houston! Yucky!

Taz-Good luck on your weigh in! And in driving with all that snow!

DebK-We started teaching our kids to drive when they were 14! Neighborhood moms hated us cause of course it was havoc with their kids but they drove with us. I just couldn't stand the thought of - Hey mom, I'm 16 and taking the car! By the time they got their license - I was and am still scared *$#@less everytime they leave the house! (bet you thought I'd say it gets easier, huh?)

BRB- DH needs the fax machine !!! figures !!!!

Never mind, Peachie - it's the thought that counts.

Taz, nice to see an early Chick who starts us up. Tell those other Newbies to come post on the dailies! I can move posts but usually screw it up and lose stuff.

Debkay, I so relate to the driving thing. I remember my son learning to drive and casually asking for the car. He had already taken and passed his test with a friend's car! Yikes!

I did get some stuff done yesterday despite the nap - even worked in a short afternoon nap! I'm getting good! Today is wrap and mail day! It's a gorgous and sunny day so a walk with Lucy may be on the agenda. Christmas music and a bayberry candle, maybe.

By the way, I wormed that cranberry crunch recipe out of LindaBC. WE DO NOT NEED THIS RECIPE! I'll let you know how it turns out - DH can taste test for me. Yeah! Right!

Good morning from Not So Sunny Alberta! It has turned cold the past couple of days, but I guess we are on a rebound. We are way above seasonal tempts., and we have NO snow - in DECEMBER!!! That alone is unbelievable, Usually wading through the stuff up to the knees. So, glad to see my Ontario friends have it all

Tazcat, I thought another pound was NEVER going to fall off. It was such a great feeling!

Ruth - Cranberry Crunch sounds wonderful! Hope you have good success with that recipe.

DebKay - I remember to this day, how I felt the day my daughter got her license. She was also 16. She got into her dad's Nissan truck and was driving away. I felt terrible. It was like she had grown up overnight and I missed it You know, she did just fine. She just turned 35.

Good Morning everyone!

FREEZING cold this morning--my ears were cold when I go up! Poor Miree was a popsicle. I snuggled her in no less than 3 comforters and then quickly got dressed and out of the house. It is now 59 degrees farenheit in the house and I started the woodstove so should be warm and toasty soon. Got my big bulky sweater on to stave off the frosties.

Did "Santa" shopping today and bought Miree a Barbie. Whenever you ask her what she's going to ask Santa form that's the response we get. So off to the store to find a Barbie. Bought a little hammering workbench for my nephew, the Fisher Price ones--he's only 15 months old. Can't wait for Christmas! What did your kids ask Santa for?

Still in a daze of things to do, tiredness, work and a billion other thigns going on. Why is it that all the stress you'e ever had is telescoped inot 3 short weeks? And watch, after Christmas I'll be as sick as a dog, happens all the time.

Hope you all survive the December rush and get everything done!

Love you all and prayers going to the appropriate places and people!

Good night! I wanted to come by this morning, but I got cut off abruptly. We had bad weather and I needed to get errands finished before it got bad. I bought a sweatsuit at Target and a load of groceries and we decorated the tree, windows and living room with Christmas decorations and I took Cody for a check up.
Now I sit and get nervous!

You guys have innocent presents to get for your girls! Cody, although only NINE, going on SEVENTEEN, wants tie dye shirts and peace sign everything for his room, some hippie music and a Fart Alarm that he saw at the mall. What a guy...
