Thumbs down Hello everyone...long time no post!

Hello EVERYONE!!! How is everything going?

DebKay found me on another board and invited my back. I'll admit to you guys just as I did to her that I'm almost embarrassed to come back...but here I am in all my glory.

I'm still doing the battle of the bulge. It's an endless project. I'm back to where I started . But life happens and I can do it again. I was trying WW but it's just too expensive and I dont need to be eating some of the things that I had the abilitly to justify. Yea, they were" legal " foods but .....

The school that I use to send the boys to had to close, due to low attendence. There were problems and it was nasty. Now I homeschool them and I LOVE IT! I especially like that idea that I can help my #2 son. He's a bit slower then his overachiever brothers and he needs more of my help. He was a C student in school and now he's getting solid B's with me and some A's. I'm so happy with him. Not that I was unhappy with him before but I know that if I had more time with him that he would do better.
It's not always easy and it does take alot of patience but so far so good.

It's good to be back and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you new chicks and catching up with you "older gals" I just had to say that!! LOL!!!

Love to all. ChrissyB

YIPPEEE!!! CHRISSY'S BACK!!! So glad to see you here again. Please don't be embarassed or ashamed. We love having you here and I for one look forward to hearing more stories about those five whippersnappers of yours.
I too tried the WW system for over a year. In all that time I only lost 30 lb. I don't even want to think about how many dollars per pound that worked out to.
Anyhow, now I'm on a modified Atkins plan, just trying to keep the fats a bit lower than I used to. It sure is great to be in ketosis again and not suffering cravings all day. WW is not designed for carb addicts.
Can't wait to see you here every day. Welcome back.

Default Hi Chrissy

Great to see you!

Are you still working while homeschooling those little guys? Last we heard, you were working nights-nurses aid, right?

Hope to hear lots more from you!

LOL - I was just thinking about that today, Dottie: that Chrissy quit the wonderful world of paper delivering and became a nurse's aid!

I still do my work as a nurses aide. I love that work. I only work on Friday nights it's the only night that I can work since I homeschool the kids. I do most of my work with psych. patients. I love it!! The stories that I could tell you guys!

Nice to meet you Chrissy! Don't be ashamed about not sticking to a diet, your time will come! Wow, I envy you for homeschooling. I would love to homeschool my son, but I can't leave my job. He told me one time he wished we would win the lottery so then I could quit work and homeschool him. Awww!

Looking forward to getting to know you!

Jennifer,

I know how you feel my son said the same thing and it broke my heart. I wanted so much to do that, but since he is an only chick--as his doctor puts it--he needs the interaction with other kids.

Chrissy, nice to meet you. I'm new here and look forward to reading more of your posts. Congrats on the home schooling thing, glad it's going so well for you.

Hizgal,

I want to encourage you, if its on your heart to homeschool, do it. Dont fall into the socializing trap. As we all know most of the socialization the kids do is way not positive in the first place, or realistic. For instance when is the last time you were locked in a room for 8 hours with 33 people your own age? Exactly. Not very real world. Also, if you look into it you will probably find that in your community there is an active home school group of some sort. Home schooling is something you can find in just about every community. So, if your son wants it and its on your heart to do it, be encouraged, you can

""I know how you feel my son said the same thing and it broke my heart. I wanted so much to do that, but since he is an only chick--as his doctor puts it--he needs the interaction with other kids.""
