I'll jump in too.

Today, I had an Atkins shake for breakfast and lunch. I was just too busy to cook or think about eating. For supper, I had a filet mignon, mushrooms sauted in butter, salad (iceberg lettuce, spinach, cucumber, cheddar cheese and homemade french dressing).

Do any of you use the Atkins shakes? I was watching another weight loss product on tv last night, Alan North's, I think it's called Weight Perfect, not sure. He was saying it was really balanced. When I compared his protein, carb and fat combo, Atkins was better. Plus he uses real sugar in his drink and Atkins uses splenda. I really like the Atkins shakes, but I'm wondering if they will slow down or stall weight loss.

Default Wednesday food log

I feel like I over ate, but that's the beauty of LC, right? You can get that "full" feeling from the protein and a little fat... love it!

7am- carrot and celery with ranch dressing(snacking in the car on the way to work
9am- 2 mini breakfast quiches
12-chicken breast, salad, eggplant rollatini(pharmaceutical company luncheon)
3-snacked on leftover pasta from the lunch, about 1/2 c.
6-out to Outback steakhouse- cesear salad, steamed veggies and a filet. ONE SCOTCH. It won't kill me.

Feel like the worst of the craving are behind me.

Welcome back, ChrissyB- those bacon roll-ups sound good!

dottie

Hey Peach, you're back! How was Mickey?
You and Chrissy, wow...this ought to be fun!

Today was not so good. I took a long nap and slept through lunch...baddie number one. You'll see number two below!

B 2 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon

S 1/2 cup of Fiber All cereal -- or something like that! 13 grams of fiber, net 7 carbs. Felt like I needed more , ahem, roughage.

D I was wayyyyyyyy starved from sleeping this afternoon, so just the Greek Salad at the restaurant wouldn't do it, I thought. There were no low carb appetizers, so the closest thing I could find was 2 black bean tamales. Corn meal, but at least no white flour. I think. The salad turned out to be huge, didn't need those damn tamales anyway!

Snackie maybe of some cheese later, or sugar free ice cream.
Might not need anything!

Jiff your too funny! Try walking around with one of those golf clicker thingys (can you tell i dont golf) for keeping track of your protein, every time you have a spoonfull of something, you can just click it. lol, dont know, might work.

Ok, heres my planned day as I see it this morning.

Breakfast 2 eggs with mozza cheese

Lunch chicken breast

Supper - pulled pork (no sugar) with brussel sprouts

snacks, I'll bring with me to work, since its going to be a long day, 1 boiled egg, 2 -1oz slices of mozza cheese and maybe a few pork rinds.

eating as planned and including snacks...equals 15 carbs & 1081 calories.

Have a good day ladies, think good thoughts.

Robin, you are doing so great with your food choices!! I was not so good last night. I ate out and had beer battered chicken fingers and a caesar salad. The salad was not so bad, but I am wondering how many carbs were in the batter of the chicken. Anyone have any idea? It was flour based rather than bread crumb based.

Today:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg
Lunch: Steak-ums with 2 slices american cheese on top, 1 cup broccoli, 1 cup spagetti squash casserole
Dinner: not sure yet. I have to do a little shopping so I'll pick up some meat probably and maybe have a salad.

O.K. it's my turn

Breakfast~~ Sausage.

Lunch~~ Bacon roll-ups

Dinner~~ Hot wings and a salad with ranch dressing

I will drink some water today. I dont measure I just drink.

I'm still in battle with the sugar monster. He sure does have a firm grip on me. I know if I get through today that I'll be able to kick his nasty little butt!!! So, off I go to load up on the protein for my mid day carb fight!! See ya all later!

ok lets see, take off the hard boiled egg and pork rinds, and add another oz of cheese. Im not going to do the math lol

But all in all it was a good day.

Here is the pulled pork recipe if anyone wants it (I love this stuff) and I dont like pork, go figure.

5 lb shoulder pork roast
rub with salt and pepper
place in crock pot
pour in 14 oz beef broth
1/4 cup chiavette's (marinade) or your fav no sugar bbq sauce. If you dont want to use either, use 1/4 brewed coffee. Dont ask, it just tastes good

Put the crock on low for the entire day, come home, pull the pork apart discarding the fat and enjoy!

I made it another day. Ok, I had a little slip, but it was a controlled slip! I am very excited about it, more after the menu...

B Scrambled eggs with cream, bacon and cheese

L 7 tortilla chips, salsa, and cheese stuffed peppers

S Handful of nuts (my husband loves it when I say this, ha!)

D 6 sauteed shrimp, spinach casserole

S sugar free choc ice cream

I am sooooooo excited because the authentic mexican restaurant is my DOWNFALL. Last time I went there, we cleaned out the whole basket of chips and they brought us a second basket! I scarf them down with my eyeballs rolled back in my head. Well, not today. I hoped to find some low carb chips to sneak in, but didn't make it to the health food store yet. So, I told myself I would have a FEW and that would be mostly all my carbs for the day. It worked.

I feel like 140 pounds! (feels better than a million bucks!)

Updated food from yesterday:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg
Snack: mound of tuna salad and a couple of strips of fake crab
Lunch: Steak-ums with one slice of melted cheese on top, spagetti squash casserole
Snack: .5 bag barbeque pork rinds
Dinner: deli roast beef w/one slice of cheese melted on top; spagetti squash casserole (it's almost gone!!)

Today:
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs w/ mayo, 2 lettuce leaves, broccoli sprouts
Snack: Atkins Advantage Praline's and Cream bar
Lunch: deli roast beef with 2 slices American cheese melted on top; .5 cup spagetti squash casserole, 1 cup broccoli

I am having people over for drinks and then we are going out to dinner. I am going to serve celery with boursin cheese in the middle, another kind of cheese (possibly brie), crackers for them, pork rinds for me, and olives. Dinner will be middle eastern food, for me meat and salad probably. I'm also going to have wine tonight (yippee!!)
