Question How many carbs?

Hi,
I know that you can only have 20 grams of carbs on Atkins Induction. I also know that everyone is different. But is it possible to lose weight by just cutting back to 100 grams of carbs a day? I have been really struggling to stay on the strict program of Atkins. I have a lot of weight to lose and I've really got to get my butt in gear. I think it would help me to know that I could have some carbs. It just seems every food I want to eat is not the right food. I am really getting bored with what I am eating, but I don't want to undo what I have accomplished so far. I really need some help!!!! Thanks in advance.

just a quick note while i'm on infinity hold...

just what are you eating???? some folks find that a planned 'splurge' day is a big help in keeping on track..

i'm sure others will chime in. but i'm of the view that for long-term loss of lots of weight, you have to be able to live with it.

as for how many grams of carbs you can have, ginger, that really depends on you and your body.

hope to post more later.. but no promises. unfortunately.

post a few meals we can give you some ideas that will help give you choices and varitey in your diet. i do miss some foods but like today i had a small plate fof FF and they were awful it tasted just like paste!!!

give us several days, in fact join us in the boot camp.

have you also read the Carbohydtrate addicts diet? (life plan one) that just may work for you to transistion to a lower carb level easier than strict atkins.

Talking You guys are great!

Well, I have bacon and eggs for breakfast every morning. I have the Egg Wave for the microwave so it's really fast to fix the eggs. I usually have a salad for lunch. I have to take my lunch because I don't get to leave for a lunch break. For dinner I usually have some sort of meat; chicken, pork chops, cubed steak. and some sort of vegetable. Most of the time broccoli with butter or cheese. I think I am especially bored with lunch. I am really getting tired of salads. I'll have the salad for lunch and then when I get home from work I'm so starved I don't feel like eating what I am supposed to. I want something else that has a moderate amount of carbs. I have the Carbohydrate Addict's book and I have thought about doing that instead of the strict Atkin's, but I'm scared because I am one of those people, you give me an inch I'll take a mile, when it comes to food. So, I guess I need snack and lunch ideas. I don't think I am eating enough for lunch and that is why I am hungry when I get home. Thanks for all of your help and responses.
