me too! I'm SO not up for working. just dont want to!
  • Good afternon you chatty group!

I finallyhad a chance to sit down and gather my brains and think for a bit. Went for my biweekly shop and went to Walmart and bought a (dare I say it?) Christmas present for dh's neice. His whole family lives in Korea and would you believe the Christmas parcel has to get in the mail by the first weekend in November or they won't get it by Christmas? Sheesh! They are always the first people I do on my list. I also bought Miree's "big" present from Santa--a Fisher Price dollhouse and attached stable! Comes equipped with figurines, furniture, and a pony. She will love it!

My Christmas crafting is coming along well, I'm slowly rounding up things I need to finish them. I have some wood patterns I've got to cut and get them primed and painted. I'm about 1/2 way done the paint by numbers for my mom--dh is sooo impressed with my artistic skill--skill shmill, you need a steady hand!

Sorry to confuse you guys yesterday--we are just going to pick our puppy and look at them. I have a little collar to put on the one we want but we won't be able to take him or her home until mid October since the pups are only 10 days old. Mom says there's some real sweeties in there! Gee it's gonna be so hard to pick!

I'm in the middle of TOM and taking Clomid so my mood is foul. Dh and Miree are staying clear--very smart move on their part. At least I warned them this time, the last time I did it dh and I got into a huge fight! Just feeling tired and run down. I have my ultrasound scheduled for Monday morning so I'm a hoping and a praying for some nice looking eggs!

    Have a good one everyone!
  • A disastrous day,
Little man had his orientation this morning after dropping older boy at his classroom...19 children and 1.5 that many parents in a room looking at each other thinking... these are the parents that I have to get to know because my child is going to be in school with them for the next 10 years. I hope I passed the test. After sitting making small talk for an hour, I had to go to a parents committee meeting where I have been give the position of head of technology...(??????) I thought I was helping with the giving tree...no, no, no; I have to do the spring auction as well. Not only that, someone sighed my up to re-shelve books and work in the library every week.??? Do they know I am dyslexic and that kind of filing in misery?

I went back and got little man, took him to Costco do get a few things, He insisted he was STARVING and bought him a frozen yogurt that he took maybe 10 bites from and then threw it away with out even asking ME if I wanted it.

He spilled his lemonade in the car on the way home...The dogs ate all of the bread... and then a return I made was not totally credited back to my credit card...40 min on the phone. Back to school to get older boy, who is starving...(I brought him a snack) over to staples where I , and 10,000 other people had gone to get the things on the teachers list.!

I hope my headache goes away, only 1 hours till bedtime... mine too I think!

No bus for us. I drive to school every day. Tomorrow I go to sign up for a gym. I checked them out in August, but a friend wants to join one too… so we will go look again.

Both kids go all day tomorrow. I can’t wait!

Oh and little man has a tooth hanging on by a thread, packed with all kinds of food and he won't take it out... The whining and complaining going on with that tooth is going to cause the tooth fairy to go on STRIKE!!

  • L you've got me chuckling here. Sorry, I know the first week back at school is hectic and you certainly seem to have your hands full. It sure brought back memories of getting my girls (now both in their 30s) ready for school days. We lived two houses from the school and I swear, my kids were the ones who were always late. They could have nearly fallen out of bed and into the schoolyard. When I look at their old first day of school photos I can't believe they were ever that young and cute. Gap-toothed little monkeys.
I had a busy morning driving a friend to hospital where she had cataract surgery and then going to pick her up 3 hours later. It was a very early appointment and I haven't caught up with myself all day. I ended up sitting and watching Victor and Nikki get remarried (for the 3rd time?) on Y&R and falling asleep. Shame on me.
I finally forced myself to clean the bathrooms and mop the kitchen floor but that's it for me today.
Tomorrow is my first women's club meeting of the season and I'm sure there's something I've forgotten to do for it. Oh well, no doubt several of the old hands will remind me when it's too late.
Back on my Fat Flush Plan today after my mini-binge yesterday. I have to think it was worth it to let my hair down for a while but I think I must have been a scary sight. Gobbling away for all I was worth. Luckily sanity finally prevailed. Before I got wise to myself a breakdown in will power like that would have triggered weeks of overeating. I'm not going to let that happen and ruin all I've accomplished so far.
I guess I'm the last one in here again. Well, hello everybody anyhow. I read all the posts and am hugely entertained and inspired by all of you. You're like another family. Come to think of it, you're a lot less judgemental than my real family. LOL Can I adopt you all?
  • I had a harried day but fun. DD1 got to deal with all the school stuff including my politically correct son. God bless him he is only 7 and for the last 3 years he made me make a cake for martin luther kings birthday. I asked him if he knew why and he told me a story of the brown people and the peach people then he gor mixed up at the color of the people and said the collorful people. he was only 5 at th time well today he asked if there were any of marting luther kings family still alive. DD said i don't know.why? well because he is a really cool guy! what a sweetie. Did i mention that for my birthday he did nt blink an eye when we did not have cake but almost cried when i had not made one for martin?

Deb can i relate?? DD has her own bathroom but does not use it as she can not find it? nor does she know if she has a floor to her room. it was there once!! I did see it! and all the other kids do the same just drop it and do not understand that i am not there to clean up after them I bugs me so bad i blow up abot that every day!! it does nto work!
  • I too can relate to the messy kids. Mine is only 5, but she can wreck a room in 3 minutes flat! Fast as I can clean it up, she is dragging it back out behind me!!!! Needless to say, there is a LOT of yelling going on at my house. Jeez!

I can also relate to the driving the kids to school woes. She has to be there at 7:00 because if you get there any later than that, you're looking at 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot. This intersection really needs a light. Keep dreaming on that score!

I have been eating sooooooo bad this past few weeks. No weight gain, NO LOSS EITHER! But, I am having the carb coma after each meal. I have fatigue, dark circles around my eyes bigger than baseballs, the whole routine. This is not even funny, but after my early night and late morning, I came home for lunch and took a 20 minute nap. What is up with that???????

I need a swift kick and some serious motivation. I am just sick of being good and not seeing any results. Time to seek out a new doctor, the endo, perhaps. She is also a metabolic specialist. She can surely tell me what to do to see a change. Hmmmmm, making that phone call tomorrow!

Ya'll have a wonderful night, I'm off to bed. Did manage to stay up to a decent hour tonight but not too late! Talk to ya'll tomorrow!
  • too tired to post anything much, so i'll just send everyone, including dogs, cats, kids, husbands, big hugs and good night.

especially to jennifer, the brie queen... [please check out my apology on yesterday's thread]
  • Awwwwww Jiff, you don't need to apologize! Lucky for Suzanne you did, though! Actually I understand the confusion. I have 2 good friends named Jennifer. At work we have 2 Jennifers, 3 Amy's, 2 Justins, and Chris and a Chrissy. Also used to have 3 Kevins, 2 Melissas and a 3rd Jennifer! And we only have 30 of us at work!

I'm just nuts about Brie. Makes me think of a story. (imagine that!) I had this damation puppy about 10 years ago. We were trying to house-break her, and she was awful at it. I was pregnant and had a hard time cleaning up all of her mess and the ex-husband was useless, so we got Puppy Pads, which were like diapers that go on the floor and have something on them to attract dogs to pee on them, so they say, anyway. We had the yummiest looking soft doggie treats and Spot would get one when she peed on the puppy pad. Well she caught on and would pee a few drops and run over to the treat s and wait for one. The poor little thing loved them so much that when I dropped one down to her, she would chew with her mouth open, her head straight up in the air and her eyeballs literally rolled back in her head. You could almost hear her moan! Annnnnnnnnyway, I realized on my wedding night we were eating brie and strawberries in the hot-tub and I figured that it was so good that I felt I was making the same face as Spot! Horror! I have to pay attention when I eat it now!

To make this little story even more fun, on our honeymoon we were in one of four baby cabins in Gatlinburg that had a big red neon heart shining over us. It was so tacky it was great!
