Good Morning, I have a quick moment before I need to jump in the shower, than we hit the road.

Sue, I know what you mean about the money related to school activities. I think the only thing at our school more expensive than band is cheerleading. Our band fees this year were $650.00, and you still on top of that need to purchase gloves, shoes and lets not forget the instrument, if you don't already have one.

Have a great weekend all!!

I hope that your DD has fun cheerleading!

Debbie...i hope that you have a great weekend!! School activities sure seem expensive but with no children yet, i have a while before i have to worry about that!

Well today is cleaning day and so i have jumped on here while i have my morning black tea (so yummy )

My boyfriend comes to stay every weekend (he still lives at home) and so i spend today clearning up and transforming out of the lazy-live-alone-girl and into a domestic godess

Anyway i must run the iron is bleeping at me i will be back at some point through im sure as i seem to be a little adicted to the boards since i came here my determination for loosing this weight has gone through the roof...thanks everyone!!

Morning everyone..... gray, cloudy and probably more rain today! Ah well, it means I have no choice but to do some long-put-off stuff around here! The grandbabies aren't coming after all, which is both good AND terrible! The gas got turned back on last night - after supper-time so we had chicken cutlets on the "george" (one of my favorite appliances!)

About those bladder stories: yes, I do ultrasound, and some of those poor ladies can hardly climb up on the table, they have to go so bad! I try to be as quick as I can, but sometimes it just isn't easy to find the "parts" I am looking for! (ovaries can be sneaky little buggers, hiding all over the pelvic area! - that's today's anatomy lesson, chickies!! ) When the schedule gets backed up, like it did on Wednesday, I tell people that they can go to the bathroom and count to 10 - AND THEN STOP!!!! It usually helps.

Lets' see.... I remember reading stuff about puppies, cheerleading, band, bad work and bad bosses, soccer........ and now I'm drawing blanks! I'm sorry for missing responses to some people.... I think my brain has been replaced by swiss cheese! Oh yes, welcome Toryah...... it's great to meet you.

Have a great day everyone..... I gotta go find some coffee!!!

Hi there, Chicklettes!

Another fall-like day! DH finally put a sweater on over his short sleeved shirt. He crabbed all morning yesterday about being cold and today the nickel dropped! Men!

After the last two days of kitchen disasters, I think I'll just do some laundry and banking this morning. Tonight I have three choices - bartend at a FairBoard Dance, work a Bingo or ride in the Perth Fair parade. Decisions! Decisions!

I hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend.

HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND TO EVERYBODY

Today I am going to lunch with a neighbor and another friend who used to live next door to us. Nothing like a little girl-talk. I did a landscape design for the one lady's new home, and she had it installed to the letter (she did most of it). She just recently had the rock-wall retainer and steps leading to the meditation area installed and I can't wait to see how it turned out.
As usual, I will be working this weekend, but I hope that all of you enjoy the holiday.

Ruth~~~It sounds like you have some fun choices

Sue~~~I'm counting on you to motivate us to exercise during the up-coming challenge

Leens~~~There is no "hopefully" about it, girl. You CAN do it

SamsG~~~Good luck keeping the little ones this weekend. It will be quite a challenge. Have fun

Toryah~~~Keep up that great motivation and determination. You can be the cheerleader for the challenge .

Jihan~~~You snuck in there on me. Is the low-carb your final decision????
All to come~~~Have a Happy Day.

~~~Sil
Good Morning Friends!
Could NOT drag my butt out of bed this morning and got up late. Miree greeted me with pen written all over her legs--aaahhh, kids!
Well, I finally reconvinced dh to get a puppy--gosh he's a soft touch when I put all the logical arguments in front of him! So we're on our way to getting a cutie puppy!
Last night my uncle emailed me a pic of the new baby--gosh is he ever cute! Tiny little thing.
Sil???Are you a landscape designer? Then you are SOOO the person I need to talk to! Got a silly looking front bed that needs some serious help!
Ruth, of all the choices and the least activity, I would go for the parade--looks like fun and you don't have to "do" anything!
Samsg, you're really freaking me out here! I have to go for an ultrasound very soon to check my follicles on my ovaries to see if there are any eggies there and I have to tell you I suffer from TB--Tiny Bladder! I hate going for u/s, a necessary evil!
Toryah, everyone here is truly inspirational and the longer youhang out, the more you'll feel motivated!
Have fun in Florida Deb and hugs to your dad!
Oh Sue, don't tell me I have this to look forward to?? I already expect that Miree is going to run amok with my wallet!
good morning to you too PJ!
Have a great Labour Day everyone!
I think for now, i'm going to stay with Atkins . I'm going to do a solid 6 weeks on it, no cheating if i can possibley help it, and see what happens. I am waiting for the FFP book to arrive, and I'm going to read it through. after 6 weeks i may give it a whirl
how does that sound?
Jihan~~~I think that is a great plan. Even if you do not do the FF, there might be some things from it that you might incorporate into your low-carb plan. You can do it. Go for it, girl
Default I may have messed up
I've beendoing so good this week, but today I really wanted fried fish. I rationalize to my self that the batter on Captian D's can't be very high carb, it's so very very thin. We instead of doing the smart thing and trying to look the nutritional info before I ate it, I enjoyed every bite, and then tried to find the info. Nowhere could I find anything about Captain D's fried fish. I finally found something about their broiled fish, but nothing on the friedm Ndad, Zero , Zip So I looked at Long John Silvers, even though the batter is much thicker and I freaked 14 carbs per piece (I ate 3) Does anyone know anything about the carbs in Captian D's fried fish?
Hi Everybody! Just a quick pop in. I sure miss you guys!!! :group: My diet and exercise plan does too. I have got to pull myself together!!! School has been hot and hectic--just trying to settle into our routine and get to know my 28 kids. DS has his first varsity football game tonight. It is a home game so at least I can do my worrying close to home. We have planned a gathering at our house for about 7 other couples and their boys that play on the team with DS. We did it last year and it was quite fun. I am supplying the "beverages" both adult and nonadult and then sloppy joes are in the crock pot. Everyone else is bringing something to contribute. Hopefully it will be a good game with NO injuries!!! You KNOW how I worry!!! I am looking forward to a long weekend to relax a bit and maybe get in my workouts--I really do miss them! Sunday some friends are having a BIG "tropical" themed get together so that will be fun too. Okay, I need to get going the little darlings are on their way back in. I will try and catch up on all of the happenings this weekend!!! Take care!!!!!
