I live in the Atlanta area, home of the southern accent, sort of (lots of transplants here.)

A very popular country music dj was fired from his station because he has a too thick country accent.

Do you believe that? This guy has been on the air as long as I can remember, he is very active in the communtiy. I don't listen to him, I listen to talk radio, but I just thought that was one of the dumbest things I have heard in a long time.

Gee, in the south we fire someone for having a southern accent!

Sil did you hear about this?? He goes by the name Moby, don't recall the station.

You know they didn't fire him cause of his accent, they just needed an excuse to let him go. Probably he was close to retirement and didn't want to pay his retirement $$$$.
