Smile Exercise Thread -- Week of August 12th

Hi Everyone!!! Starting up our workout thread for the week. Today I did the Body Sculpt for upper body by the Firm and then did the 3 Mile Walk Away tape. I can't say that I "see" any results, but my muscles (under the flab) "feel" stronger to me--so I guess that I will keep at it and hope for the best!

This morning I went to the pool and swam three lengths, did 10 minutes of weight resistance using floating dumbells (not me, the equipment ) and did a lot of deep water dog paddling.
I'm hoping to finish assembling my new recumbant cycle tomorrow so I can start doing that every day. Then I can become a regular on this exercise thread.

Hi!! Yesterday my workout routine consisted of spending about 5 hours of putting my classroom into order for the school year. This is comprised of climbing up and down chairs, putting up bulletin boards, LOTs of bending and stretching. DS was a HUGE help in all of this--God Bless Him. Today I did the 3 Mile Walk Away tape and then did the lower body workout from the Firm. I DON'T know why my clothes aren't looser cuz my muscles feel firmer and goodness knows I have been sweating my brains out all summer. Oh well, we perservere!!!

I have had a great week at the Y. I have managed to increase all of my weights by at least 10 lbs, except for the deltoid. I am doing better with that but it still hurts, I do not know what to make of it. I will mention it to my doc at my next visit.

My work on the eliptical machine is going well also. I am now going 15 minutes and moved up to level 4. Next week will be 20 minutes.

Unfortunately I did not make it this morning, TOM is visiting, and I hate to use him as an excuse, but first day is a bit too heavy to spend working out.

I'll be back on Friday.

Exclamation ThEY CAME!!!!!

Okay Okay Okay...... for weeks now, I've asked if ordering the tapes counted as excercise , well, I guess it didn't! My order was lost, so when asked if I wanted to re-place the order, I said of course not! I went to the QVC site, ordered the set of Walk Away the Pounds on Friday, they came yesterday!!!

This morning, I got up and did the 1 Mile tape -- boy oh boy! am I ever glistening!!!

I have to thank you chickies..... if I didn't feel like I have to "answer" to you all, I never would have done it! to you all!

Good for you samsgrandma! I know that the motivation on this site has helped me get into the exercise grove!

Hi Everyone!!! Did the 3 Mile Walk Away Tape with the weighted balls and then did the upper body workout from the Firm. I was really not feeling motivated today, but am glad that I went ahead and did it.

Good job Jen and Samsgram!!! Hey Samsgram, did you get the new set for Abs with the waist cord thing. Let me know what you think cuz I might need to get that set too for a change of pace.

I love having "partners in crime" for this exercising--it is one of the things that got me going today!!

Thanks for keeping this up Annie, I did my workout this morning and even with TOM I felt good about it.

Saturday morning I plan on hitting the Y with a couple of friends and then off to the farmers market to load up on veggies.

Hi Annie! I did the 1 mile again today...... my joints are creaking and killing me! I can actually feel the joints move in their sockets - somehow, I don't think I'm supposed to!!

I didn't get the abs set.... only the regular one with the weighted balls. I figured I'd better see if I use this one before I go for trying another! I'll probably just stick with this set..... after all, it's gonna take me a while before I get up to the 3mile one!!!
