Default Daily, Sunday July 21

Morning all,

It's cooler here today, and I opened up the house for the first time in a week! I have been running the air conditioning because it's been 90 and humid all week! I am NOT good in the heat- I guess Atlanta is not for me!

If there is a northern chick meet, I'm in!

What else? Going to check in with the little neice today, maybe go see Stuart Little, or some movie. Her cousins are visiting for the weekend, so I may take them all.

Other than that, it's just prep day for the work week- ironing, cooking lunches and dinners, and getting things cleaned up. Got the grocery shopping done yesterday, and got to most of the heavy cleaning yesterday. Just need to run the vacuum today and focus on the laundry. My hours have changed during the week, I am leaving the house every day an hour earlier and commuting with DH. I have lost an hour at home that I used to be able to use to flylady 10 minutes here and there, or iron, or shave my legs or whatever. Now I feel very crunched for time, and the weekend is all about prep for the upcoming week! Working is a drag!

I am going back to a stricter Atkins/carb contol- at 80g. carb per day, I am just not loosing. I have some reduction in hunger, and am not OVER-eating, but I don't think I am where I can loose. So next week, back to LOW carb, and relaxing a little over the fat! I am being vigilant about using fitday- it's time consuming, but useful to see my calories, carbs, count my protein(sometimes I eat too little).

Have a good one!

Morning, Dottie, and chicks to come.

My AC goes on again today as it is going to be a scorcher. DH never wants to turn it on until it is hot in the house. My attitude is to turn it on now while the house is still bearable! I doubt that we will ever agree on this!

I had a wonderful day yesterday - some gardening, some fridge cleaning, a bit of Church and Office work, a walk with the two-dog lead, a nap, messed around with my scanner and even hemmed two pair of pants that I bought in March! After dinner last night we sat on the deck witrh decaf and watched the moon and the dogs in the pool. Sigh! Next week won't be as peaceful so I am storing up!

Church in an hour and then I am going to make currant jam - not for me! For Christmas gifts! I may also make raspberry liqueur if we don't eat them all first! A wee bit of laundry and that will be it for the day. I plan to spend the afternoon on my porch lounging on the wicker couch with a book and some SF iced tea.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Morning chickies! Who's got the coffee? No? Oh well, I guess I'll have to go make it myself!

This morning we take younger dd to the airport - she is leaving for a trip to New Zealand and Australia - she is chaperoning a group of "Young Ambassadors" .... sounds like a terrific trip (except for all of those 12 - 13 year olds!!! ) Oh well, chaperoning is for the young(er)!!!

Also, older dd (and sil AND the grands!!!) are going out to the beach today, so they'll probably come by.... they better! I haven't seen those babies in 3 weeks and now Rosie is walking!!

See how exciting my life and plans are?

Ruth, Dottie and everyone else who gets here today.... hope you all have lovely Sunday!

Good Morning Everyone!

We're going to see Stuart Little too dottie, Miree has been excited for over a week now. We were to go yesterday but she had the flu. Trust me, she's recovered and then some!

Ruth, I have to say I am glad you are quitting this fair business, I'm tired just reading everything you have to do, I can't even imagine doing it!

samsgrandma, your dd will love New Zealand. My young cousin went for the millenium New Year and she adored it! Of course, there wasn't all of those 12 and 13 year olds!

DH still kissing my hiney, I think I'm going to like this but unfortunately, I know it won't last. Last night he cooked dinner, put Miree to bed and rubbed my feet! Do I feel like the queen of Sheba or what? The movie today should be fun, if I can just get Miree to calm down--every 5 minutes-"is it time to go?" Kids!

Have a good one everyone!

Good evening ladies!!

Did not do much today, took DS to Sunday school, had the new truck washed at the car wash, went to the grocery store and then took a nap on the couch. Took the kids swimming and just finished cleaning up dinner dishes, don't think I will ever be caught up and have to get ready to go to FL on Friday...Yikes!!!!

I must say I am so looking forward to vacation I can hardly stand it.......

Glad things are better Pooky...men can be idiots, we can't let them push us around!!!!

Take care all!!!!

I had plans for the day, and they were canceled, so nothing went right after that. It was lunch plans, so when we got home from Church and I found out they were canceled, I had to figure out something for us to eat here. Didn't come up with anything that was good and satisfying, so tonight after church I had Alvin take me to WhataBurger and I ate a cheesburger and onion rings. I didn't get fries, or a cola. But I did eat the bun. I haven't had a cola or anything carbonated since Alvin got out of the hospital in April. I decided since he can't have them, it wouldn't hurt me to give them up.
