Talking Hi everyone!

Caffeine withdrawal headache today, big time! And sugar withdrawals also, after all the birthdays we had this weekend! I did really good, I'm soooooo proud of me! Now, to continue in this manner!

Hope you're all having a good busy day, take some time for yourselves too!

Hi All,

MamaJ- Yes, we are getting a lot of rain. My DH said he thought that the deployment may be cancelled but it looks like not. He is in the Navy...not Coast Guard. He is an ET....third class petty officer. Fixing to be second class. He is not in for life...LOL He wants to be a civilian again.

Sil- These are the second batch of little baby birds that have hatched. In the last batch there was an "ugly duckling" that was afraid to fly. And i could hear that momma bird just chirping at him. I had a major empty nest syndrome when they left. I was so glad to see little ones up there again. i got my step stool out and touched the beak of one of the little birds. They are adorable.

I am just trying to keep dry. I went to walmart and thought I was going to have to swim there. Funny thing is, I can not swim. LOL And I live right by the ocean. :|

Oh well, hope everyone else is doing fine.

Take Care
Sinnrah

Default Thanks...

Thanks Debkay for inviting me to your get-together. I'm one of the crazy people who work weekends (13hrs each day) and Friday is usually spent getting my meals prepared for the weekend and going to bed early. But it was awfully nice of you to ask. Maybe next time. I hope the weather holds out for you guys. I'll be thinking of you all getting to meet each other while I WORK

Sinnrah~~~You sound like a MOTHER WREN!!

Tonic~~Since I'm 48yrs old, I can honestly say that I have dieted almost half of my lifetime. I did Atkins a few years ago but didn't feel good on it. Too tired. Plus I love fruit, and there goes the carbs. Plus being a cardiac nurse it was hard for me to eat all the fat. I did 2.5 BFL challenges last year and I love it. What I'm doing is not BFL 100%. I have changed some things to make it more do-able for me.
I haven't had a chance to read your past threads, so I'm going to go do that now. Thanks again Debkay!!

deb.. have you no faith in me?????? you'll be fine!! and cool, too!!!

you guys are wearing me out again. and welcome to the new folks.. hang out , put your feet up, but not too long or nasus will come along and make you lift weights!!!!

had my official annual physical today [like enough docs haven't poked and prodded me over the past year!!!] and i'm just fine..

BP 108/70; [down from 140/80]; HR 68 [down from 88], ECG just fine, no PCVs, and

ANOTHER 4 POUNDS SINCE LAST WEEK!!! that makes 9 in two weeks. the walking is really helping, i guess.

so the totals: down 219 total. 122 since the surgery on january 29 2002

barb.. so glad to hear about old alvin. so he's going to wander around with a water bottle now?? some folks are using those humongous 64 oz mugs, but you need a straw to drink from them, and we've been told not to use straws because they can add air. some people don't believe that, but i'm too scared to try!

glad to see you dottie...

and everyone else, for that matter. i just love seeing what everyone's up to!!!

my computer misbehaved this morning, so i couldn't check in. it's better now, but i really need a new one. and by the way, it's NOT going to atlanta with me this weekend. it's staying home all by its little lonesome. it'll survive.

Got up early and saw DH off to work. Had a two egg cheese omelette and then headed off for the pool. Had a good workout. Then picked up my friend and her little dog and we drove the 40 min to my sis's place. She's a grass widow this month with her dh away and she doesn't drive so I took her grocery shopping. Then we played Cribbage until lunch time. I was amazed and thrilled at my lack of hunger pangs until noon when I finally said, "Okay, you guys, we can eat now." LOL. My sis had made a s.f. jello for dessert but not realizing I was on Atkins, she had put canned pineapple in it. I scraped thejello off the pineapple and had a small bowl of it and then it struck me how much sweeter her s.f. jello was than mine. She told me she had used part pineapple juice to prepare the jello. DUH!! I'm not sure how many carbs in about 1/4 cup of pineapple juice. I sure hope it doesn't knock me out of ketosis.
I picked up some macadamia nuts and they are calling my name. I think maybe I should have waited until I've finished Induction before indulging. I have a wicked weakness for salted nuts. Anyhow I gave into temptation and had about 2 oz of them. Still within my carb range.
Dinner will be the remainder of the Cheeseburger Quiche out of our cookbook. I have no idea how many carbs there are in it though. Anybody know?
Ruth, are you back from Wisconsin yet? Did you and Nora have a good time?
