Default Good morning Annie and all to come!

Linda your dog story had me belly laughing this morning. Labs are usually smart dogs, guess that one wasn't in line when the brains were passed out, lol. Even tho she isn't the sharpest crayon in the box, bet she is cute as a button.

Janice how are you holding up? Any luck on getting the new id's? Can't wait to meet you next week!!!

Taking my baby girl to the dentist today, she is so excited, she is getting her braces off today. She has had them on for a total of 6 years. Three years when she was 7 and three years starting when she was 13.

I had a rough day yesterday, I just couldn't fill up. I can't eat much at one sitting, but I managed to graze all day, which is not a good thing after having weight loss surgery, it is one sure fire way to cause the surgery to back fire. Jiff, I need you to smack me on the hand. I do promise to do better today.

I REALLY, REALLY need to clean house today, our insurance guy is coming over tonight. My husband stopped smoking two years ago and we want to change his life insurance policy to a cheaper rate, a nonsmoking rate which will be about half of what we are paying now. For some reason the insurance guy wants to come over, why it couldn't just be done over the phone I don't know. The insurance man is a great guy, but he can talk for hours, I plan to escape upstairs and let hubby deal with him.

Okay, I have rambled on long enough. Have a great day all.

Pooky hope your neck is better today.

Debbie

Morning! I can't believe I am here so early. Amazing.

I just finished reading Fast Food Nation. Have you guys read it? OMG! It's incredible. I am aghast at what happens in the processes of making all that the drive thru's offer. I think I can realistically say that I probably won't stop at any more fast food places for a 'quick bite' and the jury is still out if I'll even eat hamburger in my own home!

I was so productive and motivated yesterday! Today the weather is absolutely gorgeous -- sunny, clear and it's only supposed to reach 75! (where is the happy dance smilie?) LOL!

I hope everyone is good! I will check in later.

Default top o the morning to you all!!!

a GLORIOUS day in joisy land. nice breeze, temps around 60, sunny skies, low humidity!!! too bad i have to work..

the rest of the board is moving very fast, but this thread is a little slow this morning.. come on chickies!!! need to find out how the church fair organizing is coming, and how everyone's kids, and parents, and contractor woes, and DHs and everything are doing today.

my life is boring, although dinner at the boss's was lovely last night. paper plates on the dining room table and all!!! she's not a fussy pretentious woman, and that's one reason we get along so well.

am taking a pile of clothes to a woman at work, while she struggles to lose any weight. her doctor wants her to have the surgery, but she's convinced that she can do this., unfortunately, she's having trouble breathing, and she can barely walk because of the stress on her knees... i don't think she can avoid it.

but, it's her decision, and as we know, it's not an easy one, nor is it the answer for everyone.

any word on kel's mom? it's probably too early in the day...

no exercise this morning. just too exhausted. that bone tired, almost need to stay in bed exhaustedness. it'll be better tomorrow, but i have to get through yet another hectic day at work.

maybe i'll get in a walk at lunch. yeah, right. actually, even if i go across the parking lot to the maidenform outlet to get mom some new bras, that would help... now THERE'S a plan... and i can just toss them into her room [after removing the tags] and she'll never know that they're new!!

anyone need anything???

have a great day, ya'll

Default STOP IT RIGHT NOW, DEBKAY!!!!

PUT DOWN THAT FORK. MOVE AWAY FROM THE TABLE

You KNOW better than that!!!

yes, we are at the stage where we're actually feeling a little 'empty' at times, but if we eat a LITTLE, it goes away. i'm finding that i MUST eat a little something [and it generally works out to 10 grams of protein] about every 3-4 hours, or i feel miserable and then eat too fast and then, well, you know.

so, STOP IT. unless, of course, all that snacking finally made up your protein intake. my doc's nurse [who also had the surgery, and has lost and maintained 175 pounds and looks gorgeous] where was i...

oh yes.. i told her i was having a couple of snacks a day, and she said that as long as they were protein and were helping make my protein goals, it was just fine.

so, there's a couple of thoughts.... keep me posted. and watch out for peachie!!! she's RUTHLESS when it comes to what i can/can't/shouldn't eat. don't let her get started on you!!!!

Morning Ladies,

Off to another great start, love starting my day out at the Y. I started this week at 209.5 and today I am 203! It is that first week woosh/water, but I love seeing those numbers move. It is great motivation. I am so pumped! I am excited to lose weight and feeling so much better at work. This is great.

Both boys had a sleep over at a friend's house last night, it was nice to have dh all to myself

Linda, loved that lab story, I had a mental picture in my head of the kaos in your home!

MamaJ hope all is well with you.

Welcome back Peachie!

Annie, your exercise program and dedication is such a motivator for me, thank you!

Oh Jiff, Maidenform outlet, wish I could join you!

Jenni, ffn sounds interesting, I may have to pick up a copy.

Deb, 6 YEARS of BRACES! WOW, Don has just gotten the go ahead to stop wearing his retainer. We expect he will soon be in braces, which he wants.

Pooky hope you are feeling better, so sorry you are missing your zoo trip.

Have a great day all!

Hi Everyone. I just took a diuretic and am sitting here drinking my warm water with lemon juice in it. Woke up with TOM (and he is NOT my DH ) and sausage fingers to boot. It is still raining--we needed it, but DS is supposed to golf with a friend this a.m. so we will have to wait and see on that one. Have to go to the laundramat today--still haven't purchased a washing machine. I am hoping to go Friday night after DH gets off work. I don't need him to help pick it out, but I do need his truck to get it home. Tonight DS has 2 basketball games out of town so that will be my excitement for the day.

Debkay, I bet your daughter IS excited! Getting the braces off is always a day of celebration!! Now you need to buy her a caramel apple. I KNOW that you will have a better day today with the eating--just picture me looking over your shoulder--Uh, how tall are you--I'm only 5 ft.Maybe I'll peer around a corner instead.

Jenniwookie, I better not read that book just yet--we will probably be at a fast food place tonight after the bball games. Sounds like a good read!

Jif, your dinner last night sounds like a lot of fun. It's great to have someone like that to work with.

Jenny, your DS's bedroom sounds absolutely GREAT!! My SH, uh I mean DH is exactly the same way. I think his "you know what" would fall off if he ever let a compliment come out of his mouth!
Congrats on the whoosh!!! I think it is those trips to the gym!!!!
Samsgrandma, good luck with your deck repair.

Pooky, sure hope your neck is feeling better today--maybe you can still make the zoo trip.

Goodforme, Rootcanal--OUCH!! Hope you are doing okay!!

Janice, how are you today? Have you had any news from your local Barney Fife on those little twits? I am keeping you in my thoughts and praying for some good news.

Better get going and get something done. Take care everyone!

Wow! We certainly are clucking a lot this morning.

Have just done four loads of laundry and still have not decided what clothes to take on my weekend away! I leave for the Ottawa airport tomorrow at 6 a.m. so I'd better get with it soon. (By the way, I am going to a garden biddy weekend near Richland Center, WI - and Noranora is going to be there too!) Our hostess has lots of stuff planned for touring but we will also sit around and talk and eat and drink, I'm sure - kind of like a chick meet! I was hoping to get to see Tippy this trip but it's just too tight timewise. One of these days .....

Well the bee thing turned into a major event yesterday. Len, the bee lad (he's 55), discovered that we have a "bee tree" in our fenceline and that the swarm came from there. He was not able to find the queen in the swarm but put a hive in our garden and hopes to get the swarm and maybe a queen in there. He also will get us the honey from the bee-tree in the fall. This is all new to me and is sort of exciting. However, I am NOT going to be pleased if the little SOBees sting me when I am gardening.

Gotta get going some more - Miss Lucy goes to Morna's at 5 and needs a major comb out before then or Morna will be horrified at the mats in her coat. Jumping into the wading pool and then charging through the cedar hedge makes mats in Portie's fur coats but she sure has fun! Heavy duty show training will start soon when she goes to boot camp with Lin the Trainer so she is gonna enjoy her summer as much as she can. By the way, Potter, a pup from the same litter, is already on the show trail and has got best of breed and Best Puppy in show several times! I'm so proud of my Hershey Girl!

Oh dear - am off in doggie dreamland.

Bye for now.

(booting self in butt!)

Well My doggie do little was suppose to go in for a surgery this morning. 5 Min from getting out the door, older boy did his chore and fed the dogs. Now we have to wait till next Tuesday. Dang! Darn! She has a growth on her lower inside eyelid. It is bugging her and it needs to come out. I feel badly that she has to wait another 5 days.

Bathroom demolition did not happen. I have to get the door taken off. I am not even going to tell you what it is going to cost to take it off and put it back on again! Again a big Darn!

Ruth, have a great time and above al it sounds like you need comfortable shoes.
To all the rest of you, have a great day,Off to take the kids to camp and run a few errand so drink up and be well.

.

Wow, everyone really has been busy this morning! And here I just sat down with my coffee!

Woke up to Miree eating 5 yoghurts and was just about to pounce on onion dip and celery sticks when I walked in the room. Sigh...if anyone has a resolution to this I'm all ears. The refrig locks are velcro. Like that's gonna stop a 3 year old!

My neck is less stiff than it was yesterday but there is still no go on the zoo since I don't think I could handle all the walking and pushing the stroller all day with my neck the way it is. I imagine it will be much better tomorrow.

darn--my computer just seized the mouse so I can't scroll down--hope you all have a great day!

Hi everybody!

Long time no see.

Sounds like the world has kept spinning on.

Anybody like to read...I am plowing through the Red Tent.....I am really enjoying it.

Flying to my 20 year reunion tomorrow.....a bit nervous and excited...lots of people I haven't seen for 20 years. I would have liked to have been 30 pounds lighter but obviously not enough to be 30 pounds lighter

Have a good day!
