Lets talk money saving tips on this pretty expensive diet:
I buy hamburger/ground turkey/meat in general in bulk and freeze individual/recepie sized portions
I buy a ton of veggies at once and chop 'em all up so I'll eat them before they get mushy
thats all i can think of..what else do you guys do to help out money wise??
I watch for boneless/skinless chicken breasts on sale, our local grocery store BI-LO has them about once a month for 1.99 per lb. When this happens I buy 4 or 5 packages and freeze them.....
I cook from scratch as much as possible and freeze extras for future dinners or lunches. I also refuse to buy special "low carb" products like bars and shakes - they are very expensive and not often in stores around her. I ordered tortillas from the net once - with shipping, duty and the currency difference, I ended up paying $6 per package of 10!
K-I-S-S .......keep it simple. sillykins.
I find the biggest money saver is portion control. After all, if you eat less, you cook less, and you spread out the food more. And only make enough for you to eat, not extras because that will tempt you to eat more!
