Good morning to all!!!

I had to skip my workout this mornning as I ave to be at work at 7:30 UGH!!! to meet with an attorne so I can terminate someone this morning...doesn't that sound like fun....have I mentioned I hate my job??

Moved up the trip to florida because of that job I hate..I am now leaving Sunday...yes this Sunday for one glorious week. Of course my parents may drive me nuts after about an hour but it will be okay.

Have been OP and exercising and drinking gallons of water and I had my weekly weigh in and I was the same. But it is TOM so that may have something to do with it.

Have a glorious day all..and Ruthie I would love to take swimming lessons with you and Lucy!!!!!!

Morning Ladies,

Feeling good being my 3rd day OP. Hope I can continue.

Scooby, I am with you, I hate my job also! Wish I could quit. But alas, we need the income. So sorry you have to deal with firing someone, what a lot of stress. At least you have a great vacation to look forward to.

Peachie, our local news did a piece on Aspergers last night. They referred to a site, www.parenting.com for more information. You need to do a site search once you get there, the info is a video and I could not launch it. Maybe you have more puter skills than I and will be able to view it.

Ms Spotdog, how did the evaluation go at the new gym?

Pooky, sounds like you are getting into the gym routine, good for you!

Welcome Babbs!

Have a great op day!

Good Morning, Early Chicks, and those to follow.

Not quite as cold this morning out in the snowy meadow. The girls were quick to do their business and then had a play in the fresh snow, Must admit the woodstove warmth felt good when we came back in.

I've just thrown a corned beef into the crockpot for dinner tonight and am getting organized to go off to my piano lesson. I really don't feel I am making much progress - I suspect it's because I don't practice. I should have one of those old-style teachers who cracked you with a ruler when you goofed instead of dear Morna who says sweetly "Shall we just try that part again?)!

It is so awful to hate your job! Terminating someone is so hard, Scooby. I had to do it a couple of times (yes, it happens in the Federal Government) and lost a lot of sleep over it. You will really need the Florida break. (My sister and I went to Bermuda with my parents once and nearly went nuts! We ended up making and sharing lists of small talk for the social times!)

DonDar, I can relate to you - I dragged myself into a night job for many years because we needed the money. It sure was hard, especially with two kids and a couple of college classes to do. DH#1 (SH) was very unappreciative so I got rid of him. Killing him might have been easier than the divorce but ....live and learn!

Hey, where are all the Rudies that are in chat sometimes? I kept waiting for one to come in. Maybe they lurked on this Board. We had a good time without them and ended up with lots of other folks including two who just wanted to talk WW. I bit my tongue a lot over that! We can do a private room but people resent that. If we ever do one, we should use bacon as the password!

I'd better get changed from village clothes into small town clothes and take off for my lesson. Need to shop because that darn fridge keeps getting bare! I am smartening up about veggies and shopping more often. For a while there, my crisper and my compost bucket looked about the same!

Have a happy Hump Day!

Hi Scooby and Jenny and all those to come!

I am a happy camper today--I have a job interview tomorrow!!!! The first time in 3 1/2 years. I'm a little nervous and a lot scared but I know things are going to be OK. It is for a support teacher at a local daycare. I am going to get my hair done today-don't even want to describe what it looks like now--imagine rats nest and then you'll know! I have to have something sleek and professional.

I'm not going to the gym today--TOM is here in full force and I've got the grumpies. I've heard that you shouldn't exercise while having TOM because the increased blood flow will make you bleed more. Anyone know if that is true?

Scooby, I wish you will find a better job of your dreams this year so you won't be angry, sad or depressed going to work.

Jenny, congrats on day 3 of OP!

Ruthie, Tippy, goodforme, Dottie and anyone else I missed--GREAT chat last night!

Have a good one!

Default Happy Hump Day !!

Good Rainy, cold and yucky day here in Houston. No wonder we can't shake the nasty colds!!

Scooby~One of the worse parts of being in upper management or a business owner is having to terminate someone! I always had the hardest time (and still do!) Hope you have a wonderful Florida retreat!

Jenny~You'll probably think I'm awful, but I don't know if I could've kept my sanity if I had been a SAHM when all five of my kids were little! And at the same time I just can't imagine not being home now when my youngest DS comes home from school! Hope you win the lottery and can stay home! Continued prayers going up for your sis.

Ruth~Maybe you shouldn't bring your chicken purse or wear your metal bra to chat if you hope to catch those rudies! Who wouldn't behave with that???? Ouch!

Pooky~Good luck on the job interview! How's the kitchen coming along?

liz~Skiing sounds like so much fun but I am too terrified to try! Have a great time!

Leenie~Pork Fat Blues? Luv it! How's baby Gracie??

And did I read correctly? Kel to become a Curves Girl? Next it'll be Dottie joining the "E" ranks!

Sooner ~ Chickadee ~ DebKay ~ Peachie ~ Jif ~Sue ~ and all to come

Well since January 2nd I had managed to stay OP. (yes, 2 days of chicken soup and crackers for the flu BUT, with CAD I was still ok!) I've been fighting those darn PMS cravings and winning UNTIL 1:00 this morning! Woke up with *amn chocolate covered almonds leaping out at me! Oh, I'm so mad at myself! "Yes" MamaJ says, "I know it's a new day!" "yes, I'm brushing myself off" BUT would someone please take my Tx boot and kick my rear?

So, instead of being able to claim 34 OP days, I'm now back to Day #1!!!!!

Stephen has been doing well. We're still doing the court stuff. Each time we go it's another continuance but we should know how everything will end up by April. I sure keep praying as he has a terrific girlfriend (can anyone relate to young love?). She's the first girl he's ever brought home yet alone to be his steady! They attend church and he went forward to be saved last week. She's really a sweet girl. I sure pray that as he's finally growing up and come out of some horrible "times" that the legal penalty will not be one that will prevent him from a positive future. Since he's in "love" he doesn't want to go in the service now -- get this -- he wants to be a police officer! Guess he's learned thru his "tribulations" that our local force could use some honest ones!

Well, better get back to work! Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Hi,
I just got home from being at the hospital all day with my FIL. He had a triple bypass yesterday. This morning his lung collapsed, but he seems to be doing better now after they stuck a tube in and puffed it up again. Originally they said he would probably go home on Friday, but I sure don't see that happening. Poor guy, he is really hurting. My DH is a stoic kind of guy, but I can see how stressed he is at seeing his dad like this. I figure I'll just be as supportive as I can. Now that this has happened, my Sister-in-law (who is a wonderful person, one of my best friends) is really, really gung ho on low-fat eating and is trying to convert me too. Hopefully this phase won't last too long. I would never tell my in-laws how to eat, or encourage my FIL to eat any differently than what his doctor recommends, but I also know that watching my carbs is what works best for me.

On a happier note - my son and I decided to go to Tuscon again this year for SPRING TRAINING (wanna go Peach or Deb?) My 12 year old daughter is going on vacation with her best friend, and my DH can't get off work then, so I figure that this is a great time for some one-on-one time with my son. He'll be a senior next year, and I'm already worried about how much I'll miss him when he goes to college. I'm really looking forward to our trip. And, get this, I just heard on the news that Garth Brooks is lined up to sign a minor league contract with my beloved Rockies. Would that be a hoot or what?

I'm hanging in there, still retaining water like you wouldn't believe, but on program, drinking water and exercising. That's all I can ask for, right?

Sorry I can't post individually to anyone, but it sure is nice knowing I have you guys to talk to.
Appreciate your health ladies!

Default Wed nite

oh, boy Scooby and Jenny, I hate my job, too! I would love to be home more- even without kids! I don't know how you guys do it!

I am so sick of this. Ruth, lets go to Florida with Scooby, I need about a month off!

Chickadee- I am going to spring training too! I am seeing the Mets in Port St Lucie, FL in the end of Feb- I have a friend with THREE sons, all Mets fans, and they go every year! I will spend just a day or 2 with them, I will be mostly in Ft. Lauderdale.

Janice, clear your mind of any doubts. I will definitely NOT be exercising. Am I making myself clear? I might take the occaisional walk or swim, or a yoga class a few times a year, but that is strictly it! You all do what you want. Just leave me out of it. Pooky is hurting me just from reading her posts, and Peach is buying a treadmill. I have no friends left. You all are giving me a rash.

I did have a good eating day. Had the lettuce wrap at Chili's tonight- very good, spicy dipping sauces (kind of sweet, but you could have just a little), and lots of water. I am stuffed, and headed for early bedtime.

Chat was fun last night- I just stayed a few minutes, but the idea of knowing we're here at the same time is very cool!

it's tea time, so nitey-nite
