Good morning!

Just had coffee, thanks, and have done the meadow romp. It's so wonderful to feel like myself again!

We are off to drop a car at the dealers for maintenance and then to town to sign a good copy of the sales agreement for the condo. (After 6 or 7 passes through a FAX machine, the writing is very blurry. Damn lawyers are so fussy!) I hope to get into a big food store for some veggies. Am dying for some fresh salad greens and our local just has iceberg lettuce - a nutritional failure!

This afternoon, I'll hit the sewingroom again. I am finally getting to the bottom of the pile and will be able to start a new project for spring. I have some heavy peacock blue silk that would make a great casual jacket!

Have a great day and TGIF!

TGIF Ladies!

Planning on taking the boys to Chuck E Cheese tonight as a thank you for being so thoughtful. I was feeling ill late last night. Don tucked me in bed and Darren helped. They both brushed their teeth and pottied without reminders. Don took Darren to bed and read him a book, what angels

Saturday is two college basketball games and a university garage sale, then Dominos in the evening.

Sunday is church and getting the house back in shape after the big birthday party last weekend. We had to do lots of furniture moving to feed 14 boys and have room for 8 of them to spend the night.

Peachie, give Jif a hug for me today! Love your 101 thread, great idea!

Dottie, good luck with your accreditation survey. I manage MSDSs for a pharmaceutical company, and the biggest emergency I ever face is not a drug exposure, but an accreditation!

Hensa, glad to see you posting again, what kind of program are you following now?

Ruth, congrats on selling the condo!

Welcome Semo, do not worry, most of us read all posts, even the late ones.

Hi Sue and Scooby, sounds like you two have begun to have made a habit of exercising, CONGRATS!

Jenniwookie, love those pics. It is a mother's given right to brag, and this is a wonderful place to do it. Congrats on having a little smarty, it is so fun to watch them succeed.

Adoannie, sorry your son is sick, hate those unexpected doctor bills.

Hi Pookie!

Sherrie, pain is Good! Makes me feel like I have accomplished something.

Kel, I do think you need to post more often. I love hearing about those darling boys of yours. You must be such a proud mom. Take care of yourself, watch your back, glad you are feeling better.

I'm awake...I am I am...I'm awake..give me some coffee, OK??

I have to say I'm in love with my frames I made yesterday. I gave my neighbour 4 of them and she loves them too. I swear we are going to have the best looking kitchens on the block!

Not much on the agenda today, general cleaning and I'll throw another load in the washer.

Ruth, glad to see you back to your old self agai!

Jenny, you've got some pretty special little boys--aren't they the best?

Scooby and Sue, you're putting me to shame--I swear Ihaven't exercised in over a year. I am trying to get my eating on track first before I engage in exercise. I've found doing too much at one time throws e off course faster than you can think!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Smile

Good Morning all, I'm at work and YES, thank goodness it's Friday, thought this day would never get here! I really had another good eating day yesterday and did 45 min of exercise and managed 64+ oz of water. The weekends are hard for me because my schedule seems to go out the window. You know get up late, then breakfast is late, skip lunch the start snacking. ugh... Seems to be an endless cycle with me.
Anyone care to share how much weight they have lost or where their headed on their goal weight?

By the way, how do you get those cute little smiles to print, when I try to use them they show up like this

Good morning Ladies!!!!

It looks like everyone has a busy weekend laid ahead. I wish I could say the same. Dh has to study for a test (his last for his BS) and that means we will all have to leave him alone and go do something on our own. He is so silly -- I keep telling him to go to the library to study and he just won't do it. He says there is actually more distraction there than at home. Go figure?!?!!

I did the treadmill again yesterday and I feel so good about it! I still am in awe. I've been op for so long I'm hoping this gives the numbers a serious push down! (Pooky, if I've done this, there is hope for you too!) I am trying to look at this from the same perspective as I did when I started this woe. I said, "I'll give it one year -- if it works so be it -- if not, I'll try something else".

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Thank you for kind words about my little darlings. You guys are too sweet. Girls are fun (dresses, dolls, etc.) but, sometimes I find myself looking longingly at those cute little boys I see in the stores. (Sigh)

See you all on Monday, if I don't get time to check in this weekend! Remember to drink your water!!!

Morning Everyone!!! It is bright and sunny here and supposed to get into the 50's today and even into the 60's over the weekend. Unbelievable weather for IL!! We have zero snow on the ground and really haven't had any at all. Sure makes my 48 mile drive to school LOTS easier!! Busy weekend planned for us. Tonight DS has a Bball game out of town and then he has another one at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, also out of town--wonder why we even have a gym in our school--seems like we are never there. Then tomorrow afternoon we are going to a college basketball game. One of our former highschool stars is a freshman and starts for them. Then right after that we head to a benefit dinner and talent show for the girl who was killed in the car accident the week of Thanksgiving. The senior class is raising money to make a garden with a fountain on the highschool grounds. After the show we are having some friends over for drinks. I am skipping the food at the dinner so that I can have the drinks afterward. Sunday we are grilling out steaks --I can't believe I am saying that in January Loving it!!!! Staying OP, (drinks Saturday not included ) but not weighing til Monday when TOM should have "left the building".

Jenniwookie, way to go on the treadmill!

SEMO, weekends are the toughest for me too--during the week when I am teaching I do MUCH better!

Pooky, those frames sound great, I would say that all of the redecorating you should count for exercise!!

Jenny, your little guys sound so great!!! Have fun at your basketball games!

Ruth, I had the same cravings yesterday and when I went shopping I bought all of the stuff to make one TERRIFIC salad to go with our steaks===can't wait!!

Nasus, hope you had a good workout.

Scooby, I am with you TGIF!!!!

Kel, hope you keep posting--I always look forward to hearing from you!!

Hello to any and all who follow!!!!!!

Semo you did it just fine. it comes out in the final post. I have lost 65 doing my low carb. I did take a 5 month break last year till i got back OP. (and gained 20 back. I am now at my low which is posted at the bottom of my signature. start weight/current/goal those you can set up by going to profile and you can get yur picture a saying in your name line then you get to post what you want on your signature line. for the weekends grab a few protein bars and eat them. they do not tast to great at first but you get used to them. wait for 30 min then you will not be as hungry so you have less thoughts of snacking. by the way you need to drink more water. you should drink about 1/2 oz for every lb that you weigh. I try to go for atleast 120 oz daily cus of my owrkouts. I sweat a lot.and am very intensive workouts so i know my body needs more. it helps with the weight loss.

Annie i will be there on sunday!!! sounds great. I did have a great workout thanks! Gosh you sure do have a busy weekend ahead of you!! take it easy!

Jenny look for changes in clothes size before the numbers will go down. you need to develop the muscles to burn the fat and muscles weigh more than fat so you may not see changes or may have a slight raise, but look for the clothes to fit better, that you will see first!

Pooky ond day at a time start slow then you will get the bug when you start to see changes!1 it really makes a difference!!

Dondar enjoy those little ones Mine have made a mess in the living room and refuse to clean it up. well it is thier loss no frinds till it is done!!!

ruth have a good day at sewing!1 I wish i had the time!

to all else HI!!!

Default Good news for a change!

My X-rays of my shoulder show that it is normal exept for minor deterioration. The nurse said it is the first time they ever found anything normal with me! Now I have some decisions to make as the doctor wants me to go beck to physical therapy.

If I go back there, I will have pain and have to take strong pain pills which make me really spacey. If I don't, I'll have limited arm motion and minor pain. There is a quantity over quality question there. With strong pain pills, I cannot drive and I will probably be half-asleep a lot. I really don't think God put me on earth to sleep walk through the day. I've lived with pain most of my life as I'd rather be alert than drugged.

I think I'll have to do some praying on this! God bless!

Happy Friday everyone!

Kel I agree with everyone. You should post more often. I always get all excited and tingley when I see your name show up! You didn't know you generated so excitement did you?

Jenny My DH works for a pharmaceutical company too and is up to his ears in getting some new process going right now. He's really tired (read crabby!) when he gets home, so I'm looking forward to a weekend. I love it when people ask me what he does and I can say "he makes drugs". It's always good for a double-take.

Jenniewookie Cute kids, good looking mom! Somdeday I'll get brave and post a photo of my family and me too.

Semo I haven't had a chance to welcome you to our group, so welcome! Sounds like you're doing well, but I agree with Sue (who knows all!) about the water. Chug it down girl! (assuming you're a girl!) Oh yeah, I've lost 32 (about 70 to go) pounds so far on Carbohydrate Addicts Diet, but it's slowed way down lately. I am exercising almost everyday though, so I think the muscle weight is skewing the results a bit. The inches are all that matter!

Tippy I'm sorry you have to make such a yucky decision. Pain and drugs or limited motion? Hope you can come to a decision you're comfortable with soon.

Everyone else I don't have anymore time to post personally to all of you, but I do think of you guys a lot during the day. Isn't it funny how I consider you all friends, but I wouldn't know any of you if I passed you on the street?

As for me, I've been completely OP since January 6 and am pretty proud of that. Hopefully the scale and/or tape measure start rewarding my efforts soon!

I have a sports filled weekend too, with my daughter's basketball, indoor soccer and gymnastics and my son's hockey. You oughta see her legs. They're the ones I've always imagined for myself in my dreams. I'm very glad she's so into sports. I've always regretted that I was born in a time when parents didn't encourage girls to be athletic. I would have been good, so it does me good to know that my daughter has all these opportunities that I didn't have.

Take care everyone!

Dang, I thought I was doing great getting in 64 oz of water down in a days time. No really I usually just stop counting once I know that I have had the 64ozs because I thought that was the minimum that I needed. I don't think that I'm getting in 80 oz tho (160 lbs X .5) and will try to get that up in the future.

Can't remember who asked, but yes I'm female.
(Just love those little faces) I posted my life history on another post here.

I won't be back on line after work today, my home computer is in the shop. Hope they can breath somemore life into it.

Have a great weekend.

Default Would anyone care for a cup of decaf?

perhaps a patio beverage?

Had a nice time with Jiff and Mom and my walking buddy. Stamps are kind of fun but I don't think I am going to catch the bug. ALTHOUGH water color pencils and blenders are quite a bit of fun!!!! And then that heat embosser (that can not be how you spell it) is kind of fun too!

Ate reasonably small today except for a big bowl of broccoli.

Gosh I lead such a darn exciting life don't I?

Speaking of EXCITING!!!!! Hey SPOT! while others may get all tingly when they see you post...I kind of feel like I have been goosed...You know, you scroll down and go "OH! IT IS SPOT!" hot dang! (I was going to say HOT DOG but I did not want to offend ya! Post more please???!!!! It is good exercise...yep, I got slim fingers.

Gosh I lead such a darn exciting life don't I?

Um, Peachie, somehow I think our Great and Spotted One would probably much prefer my tingles to your goose!

This original Limerick, which I think is stunningly moving, sums the situation up pretty well I think! And, I don't want to hear that there are no such words as single-y and mingle-y!

There once was a girl, who single-y,
Made Chickadee feel all tingly,
But Peach felt a goose
(Because she's so loose)
So now Kel's afraid to come mingle-y!

I ain't signin' this!
