  • Morning Sooner!

I am still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes...I'll take that coffee in a bucket, thank you!

be back when I am more human!

  • Good morning, Ladies!

I set my coffee up the night before. Timer brewed it at 5:15 AM EST. Already on my second cup.

So what's on the agenda for you lovely people today? Hope it's nice whatever it is.

I'm going to continue to work on decluttering my bedroom. Our old house has a floor plan that ended up giving the master bedroom the space of a normal parlor. So, of course, it ends up catching all the junk that nobody knows what to do with.

I've been working on decluttering the entire house since I got layed-off on Nov. 30th. So far we've donated 13 garbage bags and 3 cartons of items to the local Good Will store. Now when they see DH or I coming, that start to rub their hands together and get this funny gleam in their eyes. You should have seen the grins when I told them I still had the dining room, parlor, and attic storage space to work on clearing out.

  • Happy Windsday!

Up at 5:15. Haven't seen this time in the morning for awhile. I'm up, but NOT alert.

Not a good food day, yesterday -- so of course, I'm really feeling it this morning. My biggest challenge is becoming staying OP when there are "house guests" (started mid-December w/BIL and nephew; right now it's just the kids; but MIL and FIL coming Friday). My whole program becomes a struggle that I lose w/some regularity. Maybe more planning and prayer (emphasis on the prayer; planning is great but only takes me about as far as "Hey, anyone want to get lunch out today?!" But, of course, lunch out sure beats the heck out of taking down Christmas decorations!!)

Hey Annie -- it's German Lutherans here. This is a strong German community. We have a neat little cemetary on the edge of town that dates back to the 1700's -- almost all the headstones from the 1700's and 1800's are written in German. Some of them are real works of art. How far are you from the Quad Cities? I'm about 35 miles west. We could do lunch sometime!

Chickadee -- maybe I'm just your doppleganger (like one of those good twin/evil twin TV movies)...that side of yourself that you keep repressed (the tardy de-Chrismassing alter ego). Scouwy! Maybe we could come up w/a movie script -- it would terrify the folks in Tiny Town, that's for sure!

Peach -- have you gotten any PM's from me? I've sent you a couple -- just wondering.

OK -- Today I'm feeling lazy, fat, unmotivated, and more than a little surly. I know that I know that I know if I just get through today OP I'll feel better -- so, just going to try to get through this day!

    Hope you are all well.

    Have a great one. It's a gift!

  • Morning ladies!

I still feel great, love drugs and staying op!

Just another normal day here, boys at school and dh and I at work, a full work week, yuck!

I love seeing so many posts in our daily.

It sounds like there is beginning to be a fight over Pooky. I am a mom that works in the home and outside of the home, so I feel that I have first dibs on Pooky!

Peachie, Laura has been invited to the party, I will discuss the details with her mom. If she chooses to spend the night, I will offer additional accomidations. The boys will be sleeping in the family room in sleeping bags. I would put her in Don's room. I really doubt that she will be spending the night.

Scooby, I have been spending a lot of time at the Y also, I do 30 minutes on the eliptical machine (love it) and 30 minutes of weight training. Gatlinburg sounds like a wonderful get-away, I wish I were joining you also. I do love my family and love being with them, but boy, would I like a break.

AdoAnnie, maybe next time that technician will listen to you. They should listen to the patient, because we do know our bodies.

    Chickadee, Did your tapes arrive?

Jo, have fun with yoga, I have done it in the past and know that it is a great workout.

Sooner, I will add you to my prayers, I know you can make it.

Goodforme, I am proud of you too, stay op!

Ruth, how are those pups doing?

    Feeling great and op!

  • Hallo everyone

Just a quick hallo, very busy at the office.

Everything is going well trying to stay OP but it is harder this time around. Hope the sick ones are feeling better.

    Talk to you all later!
  • Good morning you early risers!

The wee one woke us up this morning, at a respectable hour this time. Have already taken them to school/work and set the fire downstairs. It's actually kind of mild here but I hear there's quiet a lot of freezing rain south of us.

Today I go to the doctor to ask about taking some fertility medication. I have not had a period since early October and that's not the best thig in the world if you're trying to get pregnant!! So here I am going to ask the doctor if he will put me on Clomid. My sister-in-law was on it and got preggers with my beautiful nephew. I can hardly wait!

On the WOE front I have noticed my pants getting looser! Yeah!! I tell you, I really want to be in a different size (either because of a baby or becasue I lost so much weight) by the time Easter hits. Speaking of which, did you know Easter is the last weekend of March? I'm so used to it being in April! Great news, eh?

    Have a good day everyone!
  • Good morning,
Trying to get some energy this AM. last night on of my Shetland Sheepdogs would not come in, so I was out in the cold with a nightgown and boots on. Thank God none of my neighbors saw me!!!! I going to pour another cup of coffee and then do a tape. Have a great day.
  • Good Morning!

Sunny and a little warmer here in Houston.

My sleep pattern has been really wacked for the past few nights. I've been falling asleep before 9:00 (on the sofa) and waking up at 3:00. I take a shower and get in bed for a couple of hours, but I'm exhausted all day. Tonight I'm going to be in bed by 9:00 & hoepfully I will sleep through the night and be able to get up to exercise. I almost fell asleep at work yesterday!

Hensa - I'm having problems being OP this time around too. I haven't cheated but I'm tired, shaky & had a headache for the past two days. We just need to give our bodies time to adjust.

    Hi to everyone!

    Have a great day!
    Jennifer
  • Good Morning Chickies!
    hey there gang!

Jennifer is right - its a little warmer here today - she is in Texas and I am in Louisiana - not too far apart - same weather (usually) and same time zone!

I've been doing good with my walking but I'm not drinking enough water and probably getting too many carbs but I will eventually get it all together.

Busy here with end of the year paperwork and books, but I will still check into the chatroom every once and awhile and see if I catch any of you chickadees there! *hint* *hint*

I hope everybody has a great day!

    hugs, cathy
  • Morning ladies! Well we have had a good back to school, back to routine week. I worked Monday and Tuesday so hubby had to keep things organized as he was off...got the girls to school and activities without a hitch...today will be my day to clean a bit and catch up with phone calls, lots of messages, I think my friends are feeling neglected...anyhow the routine had changed and I am not as available for coffee or morning chats as I once was....hey Cathy I keep checking the chat too...seems that the eve is the only high time these days....as far astruly getting back on program I think I am going to start over from the beginning, just like I am starting WW this week...keep track, do the journalling and drink the water and see what happens, have been maintaining but not losing anymore.....hope you all have a great day, I read all the posts and enjoy my time here everyday! Bye for now...Liz in Canada
  • What a gal won't do to get her hair done!
braved the freezing rain and sleet and drove the old piece of junk just to get my hair trimmed! Much better!!!! Yesterday I had a terrible case of the monthly crabbies so I took mom to get some books and some for me too and bought myself and her some flowers. Cheery things. Now I am listening to Glenn Miller's jumpin jive...more cheer!

Jo! (and Jennifer too!) I take a tylenol pm every night. Just one and it usually works and gets me to 5am most times. My little guy is on some meds that make it hard for him to get to sleep early so in order for me to be able to handle him (read swinging from the chaandelier...if I had one...the cieling fan would be more accurate)when he comes off of his meds at night sometimes I lay down in the afternoon for an hour or so.

Sooner! I tried to send you a pm last night and was a click away from sending it when the little guy (gosh he gets blamed for a lot doesn't he )caught me...he has a fascination with those smilie icons to the left of when you post and it was "good night irene" for that pm. Will try again today.

Cathy! pouring a glass of water for you right now...drink up! (I should too!)

Jennifer, How are you doing? Hang in there girl, I know how hard things are for you!!

Hi Sheltie! We have one of those dogs a couple of houses down from us...he is very very friendly and my kids really get a kick out of him!

Pooky! way to go on those loose pants!!!! Good luck with the clomid a friend of mine went on that and had beautiful twins.

Hi Hensa! hope work slows down for you! Miss you in the morning!

Hey Jenny! Did you see the Feb. issue of Woman's Day? In there is a section on specialty cakes, clowns, trains and such...thought of you with your cake decorating when I saw it!

jo! When you are done with your bedroom.....well Pooky will be in my the basement (no Jenny...I called first dibs ) so feel free...I seem to have a dust problem in there!!! Ok ok, I'll do it today!!!

Chickadee, you and Sooner scare me!

got to run and pretend to be productive!

    to all who come!

hugs and all that good junk!

    peach
    Howdy Liz!!
  • Morning Everyone! Another 50 degree day here in IL--can you believe it!!!!! Had a long day yesterday, but at least it was an OP day looking at the scale at the doctors office was an epiphany for me I think--I am making myself hop on it every day---no matter what. DS had a basketball game about an hour away last night so we didn't get home til late. Unfortunately they lost His next game is Friday, hope it goes better. The kids here at school leave early today because of a teacher inservice--that always makes it seem a little easier. Hoping for another OP day here--now I just need to work in the time for that exercise!!!! Still battling a sinus infection and sore throat--might have to go get medicine for it.

Kids are coming back from art--best get going!! Have a good one!
  • Hi Everyone!

This morning is much better than yesterday. I, too, am dealing with TOM and I was exhausted all day yesterday. At least it's not a bug! Whew!

I've been making a wall border for my girls room. It's silly and they love it. Now they've got the abc's around the room, so maybe Denali (almost 5) will be more apt to practice them!

Staying OP, but feel so bloated. Drinking more water. Think I'll be floating away now.

I hope you all above and all to come are having a great day!
  • A quick hi as I dash by.

Woke at 8:40 this a.m. and had to be out of the house by 9:15 so did not get in here at all. My music lesson was terrible as I have not touched the piano for 4 weeks. As to singing - forget it - I still can barely talk. Anyhow it was good to get back into a routine of sorts.

The "girls" were just dolls when we went out to dinner last night. They played while we had pre-dinner drinks and slept on the mat while we ate. I could not believe it! They have been invited back again - us too! Nobody peed on the rug or chewed up anything off limits - that goes for DH and me too.

Mild and semi-rain here this afternoon. Even milder tomorrow. I go to Ottawa for a lunch with my former colleagues so hope the driving stays good.

I think I am back on track again. Now if I could just drink more water the weightloss might start. Too old to blame TOM, I'm afraid.

Have a great Hump Day - half over already here.
